Story
Aptly named for his ursine-looking face, Grizzly is a friendly, affectionate kitty who loves to hop up on laps for a little lovin'. His other favorite activity is playing with wand toys. 😺 He came from a home with another cat and a small dog, both of which he got along well with. Though we can never make guarantees, this indicates he may do well with another cat or a cat-friendly dog. When Grizzly was relinquished by his previous owner, he had bladder stones (a serious and painful condition), which were dissolved by feeding him a prescription urinary diet. He will need to be on this diet for life to ensure no new stones develop. Grizzly is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and FeLV/FIV negative.

Story
Meet Hope! This sweet one-year-old kitty truly lives up to her name. Found as a tiny sick, nearly blind kitten, she required a lot of care to get her healthy, and happily she is now thriving and ready for her forever home. Hope may have limited vision but makes up for it with sharp hearing and confidence, and she navigates her world with grace and curiosity, including having impeccable litterbox habits. She’s playful and affectionate and enjoys perching on shoulders like a queen surveying her kingdom. Hope is FIV+, but she loves the company of other animals, including other cats. She would thrive in a home with a cat-friendly dog or a cat who likes other cats. FIV+ cats can live safely with other cats as long as they get along. The virus is not spread by casual contact. Hope is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Story
Meet Brightie Boy! This 12-year-old neutered domestic shorthair has a gentle soul and a quiet, devoted nature. Weighing around 10 pounds, he’s spent most of his life as a beloved companion after being found as a kitten and lovingly cared for ever since. Brightie is an affectionate, intelligent cat who forms strong bonds with his person. He enjoys the simple things—curling up in a warm lap, cozying in bed at night, and following his human around like a loyal shadow. He has a soft voice, a loud purr, and a calm, steady presence that makes him an ideal companion for someone looking for a true best friend. While he has lived peacefully with other cats in the past, his exposure to dogs, children, and busy environments is limited. He can be cautious with new people and situations and tends to prefer a quiet, predictable home where he can settle in at his own pace. When overwhelmed or startled (like during thunderstorms or loud activity), Brightie will retreat and hide until he feels safe again. He is not a fan of being picked up but shows affection in his own sweet, low-key ways. Brightie has primarily lived as an indoor cat, though he has shown interest in the outdoors over time. Currently, he spends some time both indoors and outdoors. An adopter planning to allow him outside would need to do so in a safe way, e.g., a catio, yard with cat fencing, or harness and leash. Otherwise, the indoor life is going to be safest for Brightie (not to mention the local wildlife). He has excellent litter box habits and no known health issues. He will be brought up to date on vaccinations and will be FIV/FeLV tested prior to adoption. A vet visit is scheduled to ensure he is ready for his next chapter. Brightie Boy truly lives up to his name—spending time with him, you quickly see just how special he is. Ideal Home: Brightie would thrive in a calm, patient home—likely with an adult or quieter household—where he can build trust and enjoy companionship without too much commotion. Someone who appreciates a mellow, loyal cat and is willing to give him time to adjust will be rewarded with an incredibly sweet and devoted companion. Placement Info: FFOCAS is assisting Brightie’s owner in safely rehoming him. For inquiries or to submit an application, please contact ffocasfelicia@gmail.com or contact us via Adoptapet. We will ask you to fill out a rehoming application so we can keep this process safe for all involved -- especially Brightie!
