Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Aptly named for his ursine-looking face, Grizzly is a friendly, affectionate kitty who loves to hop up on laps for a little lovin'. His other favorite activity is playing with wand toys. 😺 He came from a home with another cat and a small dog, both of which he got along well with. Though we can never make guarantees, this indicates he may do well with another cat or a cat-friendly dog. When Grizzly was relinquished by his previous owner, he had bladder stones (a serious and painful condition), which were dissolved by feeding him a prescription urinary diet. He will need to be on this diet for life to ensure no new stones develop. Grizzly is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and FeLV/FIV negative.

Story
Meet Gracie! This affectionate girl radiates calm and comfort. She has a very gentle, soothing presence and loves to quietly follow her person from room to room, always nearby but never demanding. She especially enjoys lying near your feet and relaxing by your side, happy just to be close and share quiet time together. This gorgeous calico has been a loving companion for many years, offering emotional warmth and steady companionship. She would be an ideal match for a quiet home with someone looking for a kitty who appreciates soft voices, gentle attention, and peaceful routines. Gracie does not have experience living with other cats or dogs, so we are not sure how she would do with a feline or canine companion. Gracie is about 11 years old and weighs around 11 lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and has great litter box habits. She is healthy other than a heart murmur, grade 3 of 6, and will be seen by a veterinary cardiologist prior to adoption. This sweet girl is losing her home only because an elderly family member with severe cat allergies has recently moved in. Her devoted, loving family has tried everything to reduce allergy symptoms but, as sometimes happens, nothing is helping. We (FFOCAS) are helping Gracie’s family find her forever home safely. Interested? Please get in touch via email (ffocas4pets@gmail.com) or through adoptapet. We’ll ask you to fill out a rehoming application so we can keep this process as safe as possible for all involved – especially Gracie!

Story
Meet Hope! This sweet one-year-old kitty truly lives up to her name. Found as a tiny sick, nearly blind kitten, she required a lot of care to get her healthy, and happily she is now thriving and ready for her forever home. Hope may have limited vision but makes up for it with sharp hearing and confidence, and she navigates her world with grace and curiosity, including having impeccable litterbox habits. She’s playful and affectionate and enjoys perching on shoulders like a queen surveying her kingdom. Hope is FIV+, but she loves the company of other animals, including other cats. She would thrive in a home with a cat-friendly dog or a cat who likes other cats. FIV+ cats can live safely with other cats as long as they get along. The virus is not spread by casual contact. Hope is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Pinky is a very special cat that needs a very special adopter. She was returned to the rescue in May 2015. She is semi-feral and spent the first 6-7 months avoiding people. In that time, she did come out to look out windows and snooze on the bed in the sun. Beginning in December, she began seeking out her foster mom for attention. She would flop on the floor, show her bully, and purr away. She also really enjoys Churu. Pinky is welcome to stay and will be loved in her foster home indefinitely. But, her foster mom does care for many other foster cats, so we wanted to give her the opportunity to have a home where she can receive more attention. Pinky will likely regress if moved and probably hide again for months. She will need a confined space where she cannot hide anywhere dangerous. She will also not show well, so she would have to be adopted based on trust. Pinky will need a quiet and calm home with no children. She needs to be an only cat or live with non-aggressive cats. We do not know how she would be with dogs, so we recommend a home without dogs. In other words, she will do best in with a cat-savvy family who will not pressure her for affection. We are also open to a longer term (indefinite) foster situation for the right family. Again, Pinky is just fine and loved where she is! We just want to give her the opportunity for even more love.

Story
He was given to me after he was found as a kitten in an small barn. He is 4 years old currently. I'm hoping to find a patient and quiet home for him. I believe he needs a home with no other pets, kids, and just a good amount of space to move around. He isn't good with being in households with plants. He will find a way to get to them no matter where they are and will eat them. He is a sweet cat that gets attached to people, but will go through random episodes of blind aggression where he will attack on sight.
