Story
Meet Gracie 👑 Gracie is a 14-year-old sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves to share her opinions—especially when it’s breakfast or dinner time! If you enjoy a chatty companion who will happily keep you company, Gracie will fit right in. This lovely senior would do well in a calm home, and may be okay with cat-savvy children who understand and respect feline boundaries. Gracie prefers to be the queen bee, so a home without other pets is ideal for her to feel secure and confident. Gracie is currently available through our Special Medical / Hospice Adoption program. She has several age-related conditions, including hyperthyroidism, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and dental disease. She is medically stable and receiving ongoing care, including medication for her thyroid and a prescription renal diet to support her kidney health. With close partnership with a veterinarian and thoughtful monitoring, many cats like Gracie can continue to enjoy comfort and a good quality of life. While her lifespan may be more limited due to her chronic conditions, Gracie has so much love left to give. She would thrive in a peaceful, supportive home with adopters who are comfortable providing ongoing medical care, regular check-ins with a vet, and—most importantly—lots of affection. If you’re looking to make a meaningful difference in a senior cat’s life and are ready to open your heart to a special soul, Gracie would love nothing more than to spend her golden years cherished and adored. 💕 Gracie is in our special medical adoption program and currently out in foster. If you are interested in meeting her, please complete an adopter’s profile at parl.org and email clinic@parl.org to set up a meet and greet.

Story
Meet Mister! Mister is a very special senior cat that PARL staff are head over heels for. Mister is about 15 years old and came to PARL after his owner passed away. He has lived with a dog in the past and done well, and although he has no experience living with cats, he may also do well with slow introductions. At 15 years old, Mister does have some medical needs. He is currently on a weight-loss journey due to being overweight and must stay on his prescription renal wet food. The renal food is to help his precious kidneys. Mister was also declawed before coming to PARL, so pain management and weight loss are key to keeping this boy happy and healthy. Due to his large size, Mister will also need a large, low-sided litter box so he can comfortably use the bathroom. Mister is lazy but does enjoy playing with toys and will swat at a wand toy. He is a very loving cat who demands lots of pets and brushing. Mister has the most beautiful large green eyes, purrs like a madman, and will even make biscuits while you give him chin scratches. Whoever adopts Mister will be incredibly lucky, and everyone at PARL will be very jealous of whoever gets to take this boy home. ⭐ Mister is currently in foster care. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an adopter profile at www.parl.org/adopt and email foster@parl.org to set up a meet and greet.⭐
