🐾 Meet Billy – A Big-Hearted Boy Searching for His Unicorn Home 🖤 Billy is a ridiculously handsome 3-year-old tuxedo gentleman with a floofy chin, expressive whiskers, and a face that’s always just a little surprised to see you—like he’s saying, “Wait, you’re here for me?” And yes, we are, Billy. Yes, we are. This snuggly soft boy loves affection once he trusts you. He’ll happily be draped over your shoulder like a fuzzy scarf, follow you from room to room like your pint-sized bodyguard, and press his whole face into yours like a cat-shaped love letter. His goofy, charming nature is pure gold—but getting to that treasure takes time. Here’s the real talk: Billy has a tough time adjusting to home life. He does great in the shelter where routines are predictable and his space is familiar. But new environments, sounds, or changes? Those send Billy’s nervous system into overdrive. Past adoptions haven’t worked out because he needs a very slow, structured transition—more than most homes are prepared for right away. Billy’s Perfect Match Will Be: 🐾 Experienced with feral or shutdown cats 🏡 Able to provide a small, secure space or crate setup during his adjustment period 💗 Extremely patient and committed to helping him feel safe over time Billy might do okay with a calm, non-dominant feline roommate, but honestly? He’d love to be your one and only. No dogs or kids, please—they’re just too much for his sensitive soul. Billy isn’t a “plug-and-play” cat. But if you’re the kind of person who sees past the challenge to the deep, loyal, cuddlebug waiting underneath—then you might just be the unicorn he’s been waiting for. Adopt Billy, and give this shy sweetheart the chance to shine. 🖤 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
Who Doesn’t Love a Big Orange Kitty? 🧡🐾 Please put your paws together for the amazing, the adorable… Garfield! This handsome boy is now 7 years young and has plenty of love to give. Garfield’s story began as a semi-feral neighborhood wanderer, living outside for years until his foster mom trapped him and brought him to Scruffy Paws for safety. At first, he was understandably nervous—but with patience and kindness, he learned that pets and attention are far better than eating garbage and sleeping in the dirt. Trust has been a slow, steady process for Garfield, so his new family must be patient and understanding. He feels uneasy when someone towers over him and prefers being held while you’re sitting, not standing. During the adjustment period, it’s best to keep him in a smaller room without too many hiding spots so he can acclimate more easily. Garfield currently lives with his foster mom and her friendly female cats, who have helped him build his “catfidence.” Having another kind, welcoming cat in his future home would be a big plus. How to win Garfield over? One word: food. He’s a total foodie—vocal when mealtime comes, purring up a storm, and happy to accept pets while eating. To keep him healthy (he’s just over 10 lbs), we recommend measured portions—because while chunky orange cats are adorable, a fit Garfield is a happy Garfield. Garfield enjoys playtime with his foster cat sisters, relaxing on a comfy chair, and bird- or bug-watching from a sunny window. Once you’ve earned his trust, he may even let you hold him like a baby—while you’re sitting down, of course. He’ll do best in a quiet home without young children, and might be OK with a calm, respectful dog. Garfield is also FIV+, but don’t let that scare you—FIV is manageable, and cats with it can live long, happy lives with proper care. Garfield is still a work in progress, but for the right person, he’ll be a loyal, loving companion who’s worth every bit of patience. Could he be your next best friend? 🧡 https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! Story
Meet Edina – Sweet, Sassy, and Obsessed with Birdwatching (Upside Down, Naturally) Edina didn’t show up looking for love—but it found her anyway. When this 1 year old dilute calico landed in foster care, she was all hisses and side-eyes. Fast forward a few days? She’s a full-on cuddle bug, following her foster mom like a fluffy little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and cat-obsessed—young or old, she wants a feline friend by her side. She’d be thrilled to go home with one of her siblings or foster buddies (Oliver, Patsy, Banjo, or Fiddle), but any friendly cat will do. A tiny bit shy in new places, Edina warms up fast—and once she does, expect nonstop purrs, head boops, and acrobatic naps in her favorite cat tree. Bonus quirk? She lives for birdwatching… upside down. It’s her sport of choice. Ready for a cat who’s equal parts silly, snuggly, and social? Edina’s your girl.
