PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/11/24 Pepper #2 (because we have 2 Peppers in rescue right now). PLEASE SHARE! Hound mixes seem to always take awhile to get adopted, so the more shares, the better!! This handsome hound mix boy was rescued back in October. The finder agreed to foster him until he could be adopted. We got him neutered, UTD on vaccines, etc. Then a couple weeks later they asked to adopt him. Now they can't keep him due to landlord. We’ve found a foster for Pepper, but we’d love to see him go to his forever home soon!! Pepper is a sweet boy. He is about a year old. He is very affectionate and gets along well with other dogs. He is excellent with kids and has lived with a toddler who he loved. Pepper is shy, calm, and so laid back but also loves to play. He loves to snuggle too. He is working on potty training. He is neutered,UTD on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Not cat tested. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
Meet Tilly, she's a bit quirky at first but let me tell you about how amazing she is if you give her a little time to get to know you. She's a cuddle bug and loves to sleep right next to you at night. When you come home, Tilly is so excited her wiggle butt makes her whole body shake side to side. She's crate trained, housebroken, plays well with other dogs, and great on walks. She knows sit, down, stay and her release word. Loves to carry a stuffed animal around with her, she will need a few as some will not last very long. Tilly loves to chew on empty water bottles she steals from her foster sister. She signals at the back door to let you know she needs to potty and will sunbathe outside when you let her. The quirky, she needs time to get to know you. She is nervous around new people. Will need a slow intro to her new family with older kids. Tilly doesn't like fast movements when she is anxious until she finally warms up to you. Tilly is a local adoption only. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

I'm gonna make you an wo-offer you can't refuse. That's what Pacino told his foster parents when he was found and brought to San Antonio, TX for a better life! For his well-behaved demeanor, cute puppy face, playfulness, and getting along with other dogs he'd be given a roof, a nice cold dish of water, meals and treats everyday, plus tons of love. It was a good deal! Pacino comes from a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world who's business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you. Pacino is potty and crate trainee; and a sociable happy dog! He does like to chew on things and should be kept away from shoes, tables and what not. Pacino would pair better with older kids. Some basic information about Pacino; he is 2-year(s) old, male, a Plott Hound mix, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Home, home on the range-r! Ok, that is not how the song goes, but I still think the song is about me! I am Ranger and I am in need of a home! Get it? I am a cool, Plott Hound mix, and a large (about 70#) boy looking for my forever family! Plott hounds are smart and active dogs, even though I am now an adult dog, I still take after my breed and love to have athletic challenges and play time. I know I will be someone's ride or die!!! If you have longed for a big, stunning dog then I am your guy! I will make some active individual, couple or full blown family one GREAT addition! But don't wait long... I will be adopted very very quickly! ***Ranger is very large, strong and energetic. MUST have a house and fenced yard and active family as well as strong leadership. No apartments or townhouses.*** Ranger has the loving heart of a warrior and would love to be your running partner or biking or camping or hiking or traveling or just wandering around- he is IDEAL for your active lifestyle! Story
Let it go, let it gooooooo ...Can't hold it back anymore ... Yes, my name is Elsa, just like that Elsa! I came into this world in February, right in the middle of a chilly San Antonio winter when the temps were plummeting, and life was tough for many. But fate smiled upon me, and a kind-hearted man and his family came to my rescue, sparing me from the freezing cold. I'll be honest; I'm a sensitive soul. Loud voices and sudden noises tend to rattle me, but let me tell you, once I've warmed up to you, I'm a different dog entirely. I'll shower you with kisses and share my whole heart. You see, I'm not just pretty on the outside; I'm smart and gentle, too. What I need most is a patient family willing to give me the time and space to settle into my new home. Trust me; I have so much love to give. In my foster home, they've discovered a side of me that shines when I play with their Big Great Pyrenees. We're like a couple of kids, playing hide and seek, and chasing each other around. I'm also a sunbather at heart, so outdoor lounging in the sun is a favorite pastime of mine. Now, here's the thing: I'm not a fan of long car rides, and I can get a little nervous. But if you speak to me gently and reassure me, I'll find my courage. Leash walks can be a bit tricky too, but with your patience and encouragement, I'm willing to give it a try. In the evenings, I like to cozy up in bed with my humans, though I don't demand it. I just love to be near the ones who care for me. I'm on the lookout for a forever home, a place where I'll be cherished and appreciated just as much as I have been in my foster family. If you're seeking a loyal companion who's ready to bloom with your love, look no further - I'm right here. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Hi, my name is Jack and I am a super, duper sweet boy looking for my forever home. I’m a 2 year old Plott Hound mix, around 72 lbs. I am a big fan of the hoomans and other doggos and I would be happy to have a doggo friend to hang and play with. I love being active and I'm super smart - hey we could be hiking buddies. I am a big boy at 72 lbs so probably best I don't go to a home with the really littles, I would hate to knock one over, or even sit on one! Can you find room in your home for me? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

We have an amazing pup who truly is a super trouper and he's waiting for his chance to come up north and show everyone just how very special he is! If interested in adopting, fostering, or fostering to adopt Trooper please fill out an application here http://www.bestfriendsforlifeanimalrescue.com/ Tonight the super trouper lights are gonna find me Shining like the sun Smiling, having fun Feeling like a number one Tonight the super trouper beams are gonna blind me But I won't feel blue 'Cause somewhere in the crowd there's you - from 'Super Trouper' by ABBA Trooper is 3 months old, and currently 18 lbs. He will likely be a big boy over 50 lbs when full grown. We believe he is a Plott Hound or Cur mix, either way a lovable, loyal Hound mix. He is working on house training and is already crate trained and leash trained. Trooper is a typical pup with energy who will run and play until he wears himself out. He is great with other dogs especially big ones, and he is fine with cats. He adores the grandkids who visit his foster home, but he may be a little to playful for tiny tots so older kids would be a better fit. Trooper had a very rough beginning to life. He and the rest of his family were abandoned and left to fend for themselves by eating out of garbage cans and scavenging for whatever food they could find. Trooper was really afraid of his rescuers for a couple of days until he understood he was safe. Now he has been well socialized and is very good with the people he meets. Trooper is great when traveling by car so going on adventures or road trips are just fine with him. He has a passion for lots of toys, stuffed ones are his favorite. This sweet boy loves to snuggle and give kisses. He is already neutered up to date on vaccinations, current on preventatives, and microchipped. His best and well-deserved life would be with a family who want a loving loyal affectionate boy and will be committed to giving him the daily exercise and playtime he will need so will continue to be the awesome super trouper he already is. If you're looking for this super Trooper, you'll find him shining like the sun, smiling, and having fun.

Story
Star was rescued in Louisiana. A lady that found her called me and said that she could not find a rescue group in Louisiana to take her. She had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in pain. She brought her to me in Mississippi, and I got her the medical treatment that she needed. She had jaw surgery, and now her tongue permanently hangs out. We think this makes her uniquely special!! I know that her tongue hanging out may be a deterrent for a permanent home, but Star is such a sweet baby. She cannot help it that somebody shot her. She is a Catahoula hound, and her tail is docked. Star is a very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart. She loves to load up and ride in the car, and I believe that she was somebody’s baby at one time! Also, if you live out of state we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We alternate between the Northeast and the Midwest every other weekend.

URGENT Foster mother has medical issues, and he must be moved asap! Let me introduce Ralphie! This awesome guy was abandoned in the woods when he was still a puppy – left to die young, scared and alone in the middle of nowhere. He is extremely sweet. Very friendly, never meets a stranger and loves absolutely everyone he meets. He still has a puppy spirit and needs activity & exercise - playtime is also high on his wish list! He would be great for an active family that hikes or runs, as long as there is cuddles and belly rubs too. His leash walking is coming along well but he does need a firm hand. Like others of his breed, he can be quite vocal. He gets along well with other dogs if he is properly introduced and has time to warm up to them. He has been hunted and showed promise but has not really been trained to hunt. He will be much happier as a loving family companion.
