Story
Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Hi, my name is Jack and I am a super, duper sweet boy looking for my forever home. I’m a 2 year old Plott Hound mix, around 72 lbs. I am a big fan of the hoomans and other doggos and I would be happy to have a doggo friend to hang and play with. I love being active and I'm super smart - hey we could be hiking buddies. I am a big boy at 72 lbs so probably best I don't go to a home with the really littles, I would hate to knock one over, or even sit on one! Can you find room in your home for me? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Hi, I'm Baby Dog, and though I am not officially a "baby"... I can still be your baby! I’m a 2 year old Plott Hound mix, around 70 lbs. I'm a super sweet boy who is looking for his forever home. I love all the peoples and the doggos. I am quite a big boy though so probably best I go to a home without the really small peoples because I don't want to be knocking little ones over. As with all hounds, my nose works really well and I am a smart boy, so I would love to be active and kept busy. Maybe even a nose work class, they sound like fun! Find out about me soon and let’s start the New Year off together! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Meet Shyla, a delightful 3-year-old Plott Hound/Retriever mix with a lovely brown and white short-haired coat. Weighing in at 67 lbs., Shyla exudes confidence with a medium energy level that perfectly balances her zest for life with moments of tranquil companionship. She is on the hunt for a forever home, though, having found herself in rescue due to circumstances beyond her control.Trained in the art of sitting, Shyla is a quick learner who thrives on positive reinforcement. She adores the company of adults and children, as well as fellow canine friends. While her feelings towards cats remain a mystery, she is more than eager to embrace new experiences with the right guidance and patience. Her house-training skills are almost at the point of mastering them, but Shyla is hoping to find a family committed to maintaining her routine, including house and crate training. With a leash in hand, Shyla transforms into the perfect walking companion, whether it is a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, a romp in the local dog park, or a sandy adventure on a pet-friendly beach. She relishes the opportunity to stretch her legs and bond with her loved ones, making every outing an unforgettable family affair. At the end of a bustling day, Shyla will find her favorite spot right by your side, whether it is nestled on the couch or cozied up in her own plush dog bed nearby. Her affection knows no bounds, and she is eagerly awaiting the chance to shower her new family with love and loyalty. Could your home be the one she has been dreaming of?
