Story
Meet Shyla, a delightful 3-year-old Plott Hound/Retriever mix with a lovely brown and white short-haired coat. Weighing in at 67 lbs., Shyla exudes confidence with a medium energy level that perfectly balances her zest for life with moments of tranquil companionship. She is on the hunt for a forever home, though, having found herself in rescue due to circumstances beyond her control.Trained in the art of sitting, Shyla is a quick learner who thrives on positive reinforcement. She adores the company of adults and children, as well as fellow canine friends. She is a great gal as she can coexist with cats as well. She is more than eager to embrace new experiences with the right guidance and patience. Her house-training skills have been mastered and she continues to work on her crate training. Although Shyla is house trained, it is important to remember that potty accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. With a leash in hand, Shyla transforms into the perfect walking companion, whether it is a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, a romp in the local dog park, or a sandy adventure on a pet-friendly beach. She relishes the opportunity to stretch her legs and bond with her loved ones, making every outing an unforgettable family affair. At the end of a bustling day, Shyla will find her favorite spot right by your side, whether it is nestled on the couch or cozied up in her own plush dog bed nearby. Her affection knows no bounds, and she is eagerly awaiting the chance to shower her new family with love and loyalty. Could your home be the one she has been dreaming of? Come meet Shyla today and discover the joy of welcoming her into your heart and home. The adoption fee for Shyla is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.May 4, 2024, 7:46 am

Story
Alma is a super sweet girl with the most amazing coat, softer than velvet. She is 8 years old, very fit and young at heart. She is fully trained and on an invisible fence system, will to include collar with transmitter. Alma needs to be in a home as the only dog as she no longer gets along with our other 2 dogs whom she has lived with for several years.

Story
Hank was nabbed by animal control with his sisters, Harper and Harley. They were not microchipped, and their owners never bothered to claim them. Each of these kids are loving and super sweet. Would recommend that they can have kids in the house fro about 7 up. Please give them a look on our website at GreenePets.Org Oh, Hank has to be in a female dog only household. We have another Plott Hound named Waylon that he constantly picks a fight with. Unreasonably, Hank only goes after Waylon and we have many other male dogs.

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Chase, and I'm here to steal your hearts with my charming personality! The wonderful folks at the shelter describe me as a "total lovebug," and I couldn't agree more! I thrive on affection and can't wait to shower my future family with endless cuddles and kisses. One of my favorite pastimes is playing ball - there's just something so exhilarating about chasing after that little round object and bringing it back triumphantly! And let's not forget about my special talent: zoomies! You'll often find me zooming around the yard with sheer joy and excitement - it's my way of spreading happiness wherever I go! Now, when it comes to adventures, I'm all in! But here's the catch - I'm not a fan of car rides. They tend to make me a bit nauseous, and nobody wants to deal with a messy situation, right? So, let's stick to adventures that don't involve hopping into a car. Whether it's exploring new trails, playing in the park, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, count me in! And when the day winds down, there's nothing I love more than snuggling up with my family. There's something so comforting about feeling the warmth of their embrace, knowing that I'm safe and loved. Whether it's snuggling on the couch for a movie night or curling up in bed for a peaceful nap, I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by the ones I adore. I do have some puppy-like behaviors such as jumping, stealing food, or guarding my favorite things that need to be worked on through training in my forever home. Due to my immaturity I'm looking for a home without young children. Call or come by the shelter to meet Chase or learn more!

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/11/24 Pepper #2 (because we have 2 Peppers in rescue right now). PLEASE SHARE! Hound mixes seem to always take awhile to get adopted, so the more shares, the better!! This handsome hound mix boy was rescued back in October. The finder agreed to foster him until he could be adopted. We got him neutered, UTD on vaccines, etc. Then a couple weeks later they asked to adopt him. Now they can't keep him due to landlord. We’ve found a foster for Pepper, but we’d love to see him go to his forever home soon!! Pepper is a sweet boy. He is about a year old. He is very affectionate and gets along well with other dogs. He is excellent with kids and has lived with a toddler who he loved. Pepper is shy, calm, and so laid back but also loves to play. He loves to snuggle too. He is working on potty training. He is neutered,UTD on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Not cat tested.
