Story
Meet Shyla, a delightful 3-year-old Plott Hound/Retriever mix with a lovely brown and white short-haired coat. Weighing in at 67 lbs., Shyla exudes confidence with a medium energy level that perfectly balances her zest for life with moments of tranquil companionship. She is on the hunt for a forever home, though, having found herself in rescue due to circumstances beyond her control.Trained in the art of sitting, Shyla is a quick learner who thrives on positive reinforcement. She adores the company of adults and children, as well as fellow canine friends. She is a great gal as she can coexist with cats as well. She is more than eager to embrace new experiences with the right guidance and patience. Her house-training skills have been mastered and she continues to work on her crate training. Although Shyla is house trained, it is important to remember that potty accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. With a leash in hand, Shyla transforms into the perfect walking companion, whether it is a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood, a romp in the local dog park, or a sandy adventure on a pet-friendly beach. She relishes the opportunity to stretch her legs and bond with her loved ones, making every outing an unforgettable family affair. At the end of a bustling day, Shyla will find her favorite spot right by your side, whether it is nestled on the couch or cozied up in her own plush dog bed nearby. Her affection knows no bounds, and she is eagerly awaiting the chance to shower her new family with love and loyalty. Could your home be the one she has been dreaming of? Come meet Shyla today and discover the joy of welcoming her into your heart and home. The adoption fee for Shyla is $500. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/11/24 Pepper #2 (because we have 2 Peppers in rescue right now). PLEASE SHARE! Hound mixes seem to always take awhile to get adopted, so the more shares, the better!! This handsome hound mix boy was rescued back in October. The finder agreed to foster him until he could be adopted. We got him neutered, UTD on vaccines, etc. Then a couple weeks later they asked to adopt him. Now they can't keep him due to landlord. We’ve found a foster for Pepper, but we’d love to see him go to his forever home soon!! Pepper is a sweet boy. He is about a year old. He is very affectionate and gets along well with other dogs. He is excellent with kids and has lived with a toddler who he loved. Pepper is shy, calm, and so laid back but also loves to play. He loves to snuggle too. He is working on potty training. He is neutered,UTD on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Not cat tested. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
Hi, my name is Jack and I am a super, duper sweet boy looking for my forever home. I’m a 2 year old Plott Hound mix, around 72 lbs. I am a big fan of the hoomans and other doggos and I would be happy to have a doggo friend to hang and play with. I love being active and I'm super smart - hey we could be hiking buddies. I am a big boy at 72 lbs so probably best I don't go to a home with the really littles, I would hate to knock one over, or even sit on one! Can you find room in your home for me? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
