John Boy is a 1 year old brindle boy with the cutest ears and white spotted chest and feet. He weighs 35 lbs right now and we think they may have Plott Hound/ Mountain Curr/ Lab/ and Cattle dog in them but it is hard to say other than that they are cute! John Boy showed up on a farm with his brother and sister and they fostered them until room opened up at the rescue. They are good around farm animals and have learned house and leash manners since being at the rescue. He is good with cats, kids and dogs. John Boy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative, and dewormed! His adoption fee is $250.April 19, 2024, 12:33 pm

Story

Dakota is a young adult probably 3 years old. He weighs about 65 lb. When he arrived he was heartworm positive. He has completed treatment as is doing great. Dakota is friendly but can be distrustful of strangers at first. He walks well on leash and will sit when asked. He can pull a bit. I use a training collar on him. He is well mannered. He will jump up but I've not had him put his feet on me. He loves attention and enjoys going for hikes with me. He would become a devoted, protective companion. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative (on monthly heartworm and flea preventive) and are microchipped. Upon adoption, the microchip will be registered with your contact information and you will be eligible to activate a free 30 day health insurance policy.
