Story
Dakota is a young adult probably 3 years old. He weighs about 65 lb. When he arrived he was heartworm positive. He has completed treatment as is doing great. Dakota is friendly but can be distrustful of strangers at first. He walks well on leash and will sit when asked. He can pull a bit. I use a training collar on him. He is well mannered. He will jump up but I've not had him put his feet on me. He loves attention and enjoys going for hikes with me. He would become a devoted, protective companion. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative (on monthly heartworm and flea preventive) and are microchipped. Upon adoption, the microchip will be registered with your contact information and you will be eligible to activate a free 30 day health insurance policy. If you are interested in Dakota, please contact Gail Posey at 678-361-7304 or email pspp_inc@yahoo.com.

Story
Corina is a 1.5 year old female Catahoula Leopard dog mix with a gorgeous coat of blended coloring that turns heads wherever she goes. Luckily she remains humble with her beauty, and is actually a bit shy and reserved when she meets new people. Corina may even tuck her tail and tremble slightly … the loud shelter can be very scary to some dogs. But with just a little kindness and time together, her sweet personality begins to shine. Corina loves getting out to go on walks with you, and once she’s away from the shelter noise, her playful spirit comes alive. She enjoys running alongside other dogs in adjacent play areas and seems to get along well with them (of course, a Meet n Greet is always recommended if you have other dogs). One of Corina’s favorite things is exploring while in the park, checking out the different scents along the way. And after a while, she will lay down near you to savor the fresh air and sunshine together. All she needs is to find her person or family to share those happy moments together. So be sure to meet Corina soon and see just how special she is - it’s time to start building a lifetime of good memories together! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Hey there, friend! I’m Spice, and let me tell you—I’ve got just the right mix of sweet and sass to brighten up your life! I’m a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog/Terrier mix, weighing in at a solid 80 pounds of pure love and loyalty. And my coat? It’s a stunning chocolate merle, full of swirls and spots that make me look like I was painted by an artist. Seriously, I turn heads everywhere I go! I landed at the shelter on 06/10/2025, and while I’m making the best of it, I know my real adventure begins when I find my forever home. I’m super sweet, playful, and (humble brag) pretty obedient too. I already know sit, stay, shake, and down—just imagine what else I could learn with someone like you by my side! I’ve been tested negative for heartworms, I’m up to date on all my shots, and I’ll be neutered before I head home with you. Come meet me in cage 59—my ID is 10767. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and strikingly handsome companion, I’ve got the personality and the coat to match. Let’s make life a little spicier—together! 🐾❤️ Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Gorgeous, freckly Daphne really speaks to you through her pretty dichromatic eyes. What is she saying? Let's play! She likes toys but loves squeaky balls the best of all. She's a springy girl who can clear a shorter fence, so the tall and solid variety is best. Oh, and Daphne has a superpower - she can adapt her play to match pretty much any dog! So bring your pup for a meet-n-greet. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~ Est DOB: Mar 2023~ Intake weight: 56# ~ Adoption details: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 4, 2025, 5:43 pm
