Story
Dean is 5 years old and is a very sweet dog. He loves cuddling with people. He was my son's dog who moved and couldn't keep him. We have a dog of our own and the cost to maintain 2 dogs has just become too much. Dean has been around a variety of people and has done very well. He might be excited at first but settles down quickly. He walks well on a leash and would benefit from a secure fenced in yard where he can explore.

Bertha is a 4-year-old Plott Hound mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! This sweet girl was rescued after roaming as a stray and has quickly charmed everyone she meets with her gentle and affectionate nature. Bertha absolutely adores people and thrives on attention and companionship. She’s great with other dogs, making her an excellent playmate for furry siblings, and she’s also wonderful with kids, making her a perfect fit for a family. Her playful energy is balanced by her sweet and loving demeanor, making her the kind of dog who’s just as happy to chase a ball as she is to cuddle up for snuggles. Bertha is ready to leave her days as a stray behind and find a forever home where she’ll be cherished.

Story
Meet Bella, a sweet 9-month-old, 30-pound, hound mix with soulful eyes and a gentle spirit. With her soft nature and quiet charm, Bella is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds once she feels safe and loved. She came into rescue after her previous owner could no longer care for her, and she is now looking for a fresh start with a patient, compassionate family. Bella has a short tan coat with soft white accents, and her deep brown eyes make her instantly endearing. Weighing around 30 pounds, she still has some growing ahead of her and will likely remain a wonderful medium sized dog of anywhere between 30 and 60 pounds. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is good with children. She has not had the chance to meet cats yet, so her feelings about them remain a mystery. As a young dog, Bella is still learning the basics. She is practicing crate time, house training, and leash walking, and she approaches each new skill with a willing spirit. With steady guidance and a calm environment, she will continue to gain confidence and flourish. If Bella sounds like the companion, you have been searching for, apply today and help her discover what it feels like to be truly home.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Bella is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.May 27, 2026, 7:22 am

Story
Hello there, sorry for the wait ... My name is Doc and I'm here to see YOU actually! Let's see now, you say you're experiencing the lack of a fun loving companion dog in your life? You need to get out and go on walks more? And you say here that you have a huge backyard but no one to play in it with? These symptoms lead me to believe you're suffering from INAD syndrome ... also known as "I need a dog disease." and we have JUST the cure for you!!! I am a DOC :) Well, I think I can prescribe you something that'll help reduce these symptoms and get you back on track to healthy living.... here is what one of my admirers has to say about me ;) "Doc is a super playful dude and is soo happy to meet everyone he sees and just is an overall bouncing bundle of joy. He loves walks, pets and scratches, and loves to do sprints with you. When you're walking he will walk slightly ahead of you and is super excited to meet everyone. He'll try to pull but once he realizes you are not coming too fast he will do this cute little hop thing where he bounces between his front paws and his back paws, its adorable" That is quite an admirer, right??? If you'll just go ahead and sign here on my adoption papers, we can get started right now on your treatment!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
