Story
MEET BO BO!Bobo is a sweet, gentle, playful puppy! He is quite shy and timid at first, but once he feels comfortable with his people, he is cuddly and loyal and really comes out of his shell. He would do best in a household who will respect his need and space to become comfortable with a new environment on his own terms, preferably in a home that can maintain a calm environment for the first couple of days. He quickly becomes a playful puppy when he feels secure! He is still learning how to be a household puppy (walking on a leash, going to the bathroom outside), so gentle, positive reinforcement with plenty of praise goes a long way with this sweet guy. He seems more motivated with praise and snuggles than treats, but will always happily accept a treat for good behavior! Bo Bo is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Bo Bo or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Story
*Name: Amelia (spayed female)*Age: 3 years*Current Weight: 48 pounds*Rescued from: Houston, TX (will travel with an approved adopter or foster) *Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)*Health: Up to date on vaccines  Hi! My names Amelia EARhart, and if you look at my photos, I bet you can guess why! I'm a super cute brindle plott hound mix girl from Houston Texas. I only require moderate exercise and get along with other dogs and children. I am also housebroken and walk very well on a leash, I try not to pull too much! I am looking forward to meeting you and joining my forever home! To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Please note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email. ##1839726##

Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Courtesy post. GDHS does not own this dog nor have we met him. Contact Jen at Jmol3125@gmail.com with questions and interest.  Hey! I’m Rocky. I may be 9 years old, but don’t let my grey face fool you, I don’t act my age. I love to play fetch but my favorite thing would be to snuggle with you while you watch tv and get all the pets while you remind me how I am a good boy. I have these soulful eyes that will melt your heart. I would love a home with a big fenced in yard to run, maybe a teenager to play with and I guess a cat wouldn’t be so bad as long as they are dog savvy. I used to have my own kid and cats but unfortunately my dad passed away and I don’t have any family members I can live with because I really don’t want dog friends and they all have dogs. I don’t know many commands, but I know how to sit like a good boy. The trainer lady who met me said I should probably get some training so I can go on long walks with you and listen to everything you want me to know. I’m a big smoosh I hear, whatever that means. I would love to find a home soon as the shelters nearby don’t have space for me in their foster homes. Please share my story so I can find my best family.  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. May 12, 2024, 7:27 am

Story
Meet ROCKY-courtesy post ROCKY 9 yrs young 85-90lbs This handsome boy is not with our rescue, but he’s still in need of a loving home. He would not do well in a shelter environment, so we’re hoping we can help! Poor Rocky’s owner passed away, and he is very, very sad. He is a very sweet boy who loves to cuddle with his people. He is smart, loving & loyal. Rocky loves to play in the yard, go for walks and loves to go for car rides. He would love a quieter home without kids, but teenagers are okay! He is not a fan of other dogs, but has done well with dog savvy cats. If interested in this sweet boy, please contact JEN-603-566-8500 or jmol3125@gmail.com
