Story
MEET BO BO!Bobo is a sweet, gentle, playful puppy! He is quite shy and timid at first, but once he feels comfortable with his people, he is cuddly and loyal and really comes out of his shell. He would do best in a household who will respect his need and space to become comfortable with a new environment on his own terms, preferably in a home that can maintain a calm environment for the first couple of days. He quickly becomes a playful puppy when he feels secure! He is still learning how to be a household puppy (walking on a leash, going to the bathroom outside), so gentle, positive reinforcement with plenty of praise goes a long way with this sweet guy. He seems more motivated with praise and snuggles than treats, but will always happily accept a treat for good behavior! Bo Bo is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Bo Bo or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. *Name: Amelia (spayed female)*Age: 3 years*Current Weight: 48 pounds*Rescued from: Houston, TX (will travel with an approved adopter or foster) *Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)*Health: Up to date on vaccines  Hi! My names Amelia EARhart, and if you look at my photos, I bet you can guess why! I'm a super cute brindle plott hound mix girl from Houston Texas. I only require moderate exercise and get along with other dogs and children. I am also housebroken and walk very well on a leash, I try not to pull too much! I am looking forward to meeting you and joining my forever home! To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Please note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email. ##1839726##

Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Courtesy post. GDHS does not own this dog nor have we met him. Contact Jen at Jmol3125@gmail.com with questions and interest.  Hey! I’m Rocky. I may be 9 years old, but don’t let my grey face fool you, I don’t act my age. I love to play fetch but my favorite thing would be to snuggle with you while you watch tv and get all the pets while you remind me how I am a good boy. I have these soulful eyes that will melt your heart. I would love a home with a big fenced in yard to run, maybe a teenager to play with and I guess a cat wouldn’t be so bad as long as they are dog savvy. I used to have my own kid and cats but unfortunately my dad passed away and I don’t have any family members I can live with because I really don’t want dog friends and they all have dogs. I don’t know many commands, but I know how to sit like a good boy. The trainer lady who met me said I should probably get some training so I can go on long walks with you and listen to everything you want me to know. I’m a big smoosh I hear, whatever that means. I would love to find a home soon as the shelters nearby don’t have space for me in their foster homes. Please share my story so I can find my best family.  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. May 12, 2024, 7:27 am

Story
Meet ROCKY-courtesy post ROCKY 9 yrs young 85-90lbs This handsome boy is not with our rescue, but he’s still in need of a loving home. He would not do well in a shelter environment, so we’re hoping we can help! Poor Rocky’s owner passed away, and he is very, very sad. He is a very sweet boy who loves to cuddle with his people. He is smart, loving & loyal. Rocky loves to play in the yard, go for walks and loves to go for car rides. He would love a quieter home without kids, but teenagers are okay! He is not a fan of other dogs, but has done well with dog savvy cats. If interested in this sweet boy, please contact JEN-603-566-8500 or jmol3125@gmail.com

Story
Rocky the Plott Hound is a gentleman who loves LOVE! This 9-year-old male is from S. NH & his owner suddenly passed away. He is lonely & cant wait to love & adore his forever home. Family are heartbreakingly unable to take Rocky, and are desperately searching for someone to adopt him soon. His temporary arrangement ends May 20th 2024. Rocky's a chill guy, loves playtime, zoomies, & spending time in his yard (a fenced yard is ideal; sorry no apartments). He loves car rides & walks. Heeling is ok, but needs a little work. Rocky doesn't get along with other dogs so an aware owner is best to help redirect his attention to prevent reacting. Rocky previously lived with a calm teenager. To help Rocky flourish & overcome loss, he would do best with an experienced dog owner who is willing to work with him in a positive manner. Rocky is smart & wants to learn. Training can be fun & help build a bond with his new owner. One look in his sweet loving eyes you'll be hooked.

These pups are in Boston, Massachusetts too!

MEET ME AT OUR MAY 11th ADOPTION EVENT IN WEYMOUTH, MA!Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesLittle Bit Bit is a sweet, easy going, fun and friendly girl. She is a medium energy dog who loves to go on adventures, just as much as she loves to nap. With her playful demeanor Little Bit Bit would thrive in a family with children. She is a total sweetheart who has never met a stranger she didn’t like. She is currently fostered in a home with two other dogs and enjoys playing with her canine foster siblings. She would do well in a home with other dogs or would thrive as an only dog. Little Bit Bit can be a bit too fixated on cats and would do best in a cat-free home. Fully crate and housetrained Little Bit Bit sleeps soundly in her crate overnight and takes naps in her crate during the work day. She is an intelligent girl who loves to learn new tricks. She has already mastered “sit”, and “off” and is currently working on “wait”. Her favorite toys are puzzle toys or brain games. She enjoys going for walks and is still working on her leash skills. With time, patience, and routine she will thrive in her forever home. Is Little Bit Bit your newest adventure buddy? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.May 12, 2024, 5:59 am

Story
MEET Dewy!Dewy is a young, energetic and everloving lady! She will need guidance on normal puppy manners such as potty training, and crate training, but is smart as a whip. Whether it be strangers or family members, she is an absolute love who will try to cuddle up with any person she sees. This level of affection means she does best with lots of people time and minimal alone time. With her energy level, she would prefer to have access to places she could run or lots of exercise opportunities. She gets along well with other dogs and may enjoy another dog friend to show her the ropes.
