This handsome brindle boy is pretty laid back, enjoying running around as much as getting his belly rubbed. Trotter is looking for a home where he can be his affectionate, goofy self and soak up lots of love.Trotter thinks that meeting new people and dogs is the best thing ever. He goes right up to both to say hello and see if they want to play with him. Trotter has met kids and loves to play with them, too, so he would do fabulously with dog-savvy kids who enjoy canine attention. He likes to play with squeaky toys to entertain himself.Trotter is crated consistently during the day and overnight. He sometimes wants the encouragement of a nudge or a treat to go into his crate, but then settles immediately for a good snooze. Trotter is house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in foster. He walks well on his leash and takes corrections easily. Trotter already knows “sit” and is a quick learner, so he will likely have fun learning new skills.Trotter is a big ball of love with one of the best smiles around. Story
MEET CLYDE! Clyde is a young active boy who came to us from Louisiana. Before traveling to us, he was fostered in a home where he was reported to be a great house guest! He was working on potty training, crate training, and some basic cues. Here we have learned that he loves people and enjoys playtime with other dogs. His big claim to fame is his love for sniffari walks where he can sniff the world around usHe would love to continue to work with an adopter on positive reinforcement training. If you`re looking for an adventure buddy to welcome the spring season with, Clyde might be your pup! Check out his video: Clyde is currently up to date on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped and has been seen by our veterinarian. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog-savvy catsGood with kids: Yes, dog-savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse trained: MostlySay hello to Poe!This stunning sweetheart will steal your heart the moment you gaze into his two-toned brown and blue eyes. His unique coloring and striking markings make him truly one of a kind. Poe’s early life was filled with uncertainty, so he can be a little slow to adjust to new environments. But his gentle timidness never reflects the way he feels about people. Poe lives to love. He’s a dedicated cuddle bug, a loyal companion, and a dog who wants nothing more than to bond deeply with his people.Poe thrives in the company of other dogs and would likely do best in a home with a confident canine friend. Having another dog around helps him learn, grow, and continue building his confidence. He has previously lived with a cat and was very respectful. While he hasn’t spent time around children, he could do well with kids who enjoy cuddling and understand the importance of gentle, patient introductions.Poe is making wonderful progress with his training and is almost fully potty trained, with only an occasional accident. He would do best in a home where someone is around frequently—such as a work-from-home household—so he can have regular opportunities to go outside while he continues building consistency. Poe is crate trained and may briefly let you know he’d rather be with his people, but he settles in quickly. He walks calmly on a leash and is a pleasant companion on outings, though he may appreciate a little extra reassurance in busy or high-traffic areas.Poe is searching for a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and encouragement he needs to feel safe and confident. In return, he promises unwavering devotion, endless snuggles, and a lifetime of love. Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. She loves to get her energy out but has no problem toning it down when asked, or when needed. She is so gentle with cats, small dogs and loves kids. There are no strangers on this earth that she wouldn’t want to love!  Daffodil is also mostly crate trained and fully house trained. She goes into the crate for a treat and may whine for a minute or two, but then settles. She is a sweet, easygoing girl who is ready to be your perfect companion! This medium energy girl has short bursts of energetic playtime followed by a solid cuddle session with her humans. Gretchen would do well in nearly any home looking for a calm, affectionate cuddle buddy to shower with love.Gretchen is great with other dogs and takes cues well. She loves playing with her dog friends in the yard but adjusts her play style accordingly, so she'd be fine with or without a canine sibling. She ignores the cat in her foster home and peacefully coexists with them. Her gentle, calm nature will likely do well with children. Gretchen enjoys playing in the yard with her dog friends and loves her daily leash walks around the neighborhood. This well mannered and smart girl is fully crate trained and house trained. Gretchen settles well in her crate at night and is crated occasionally during the day without any issues. Gretchen walks well on leash and is easy to handle, adapting nicely to any routine.  Her favorite skill to show off is jumping onto your lap on command for snuggles! This gentle, affectionate girl is ready to bring calm, joy, and love to her forever home.
