Story
Oscar is such a sweet and very intelligent 6 months old Plott hound mix. We rescued Oscar from MSPCA Salem MA 1 month ago. Unfortunately, my daughter is allergic to Oscar fur. In order to keep Oscar my daughter would need to be on medication going forward which is not ideal. This is sad for us all, but we hope to find a sweet loving home for Oscar. If you are experienced dog owner who can also train him as he is still a pup that would be also great for him.

Story
Gypsy is a joyful little girl who is just 12 weeks old (as of 2/2) and heading to New England from Mississippi—escaping the rough weather down south and ready to start her next chapter! This pup is truly eye-catching, with stunning brindle-and-white coloring and the most beautiful, expressive eyes. Gypsy first appeared as a stray in Batesville, but thanks to a kind Good Samaritan who took her off the road, she found her way into foster care—and she’s been thriving ever since.Gypsy is a classic happy, lively spitfire puppy. She’s curious, playful, and full of personality. She’s already working on crate training, and while her foster mom (who is almost 80!) will be the first to say she’s “doing her best—LOL,” Gypsy is making great progress for such a young pup.She absolutely loves other dogs and has even been doing well playing with cats, too. Gypsy would do best in a home ready for all the fun, structure, and patience that comes with raising a puppy.Gypsy arrives in Massachusetts on 2/7 and will be ready to head into her forever home shortly after.Puppy Expectations:Gypsy is still very much a baby. Like all puppies, she will need time, consistency, and positive training to continue learning house manners, crate skills, and basic obedience. Puppies require supervision, routine, and plenty of patience—and adopters should be prepared for chewing, accidents, and lots of energy as she grows. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and absolutely adorable puppy to grow up with, Gypsy may be the one for you.Name: GypsyBreed: Plott Hound/Labrador RetrieverSex: FemaleAge: 12 weeks as of 2/2Weight: 20 lbs at 12 weeks ( looking in the 75-80 lb range when full grown)Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. All vaccinations required after adoption are the adopter's responsibility.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not usually, but is crate trained.Microchipped: YesLocation of dog currently:   Massachusetts as of 2/7Puppy Adoption Fee:  $600.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for your benefit and your puppy's, so if you experience behavioral issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.IMPORTANT INFORMATIONPaws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Hi there, I'm Emmy! My world is full of playful leaps and goofy wiggles. I love the rustle of leaves under my paws and the joy of a good game of fetch. Sometimes, I can be a bit shy, but give me a moment and my sweet nature shines through. I have so much love to give and I dream of a family to share it with. Every day, I'm learning new things and growing braver. I'm young, so I have lots of time to make wonderful memories with you. Adopt me, and let's create a beautiful life together!
