Story
Meet Goose – the handsome, 10 month old, Plott Hound mix, who is quite an interesting guy.  The breed itself, is the official State Dog of North Carolina and what an honor!  In one North Carolina county there are two Plott Hounds that are Commissioned Deputies.  To be honest we can’t say that Goose is a Barney Fife, because this boy is extremely intelligent, loyal, calm and affectionate.  Our handsome Goose loves the outdoors and is open for any adventure or hiking trail that you want to conquer.  His owner moved and unfortunately the landlord said; “no dogs”, so it was NO GOOSE.  He is in a loving foster home right now, but he needs a safe haven of his own to call home.  Goose is excellent with children, very trustworthy, and is a great and loving family companion.  He is still a baby (under a year) and looking for that family to grow up with.  Goose has been neutered, UTD on all shots, HW prevention and microchipped.  He weighs roughly 45 pounds, and still has some growing to do and probably another 10 pounds will be the additional weight.  Wait until you meet him in person – his pictures do not do him justice as his coat is stunningly rippled with the unique brindle coloring that everyone’s eye is drawn to when in a crowd.  He is a standout in every way as a dog and as a wonderful personality.  If you are interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   Tell us where you live please.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 3, 2023, 6:04 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Amelia (TX) is a female Plott Hound mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Amelia is 3 years old at the time of intake in December 2020.  Amelia is good with people and other dogs and cats.  This beautiful brindle girl was dumped at a kill shelter in an advanced stage of pregnancy.  Amelia tried so hard to avoid delivering her puppies in the risky atmosphere of a kill shelter, but with nowhere to go, she had no choice.  Fortunately, we got Amelia and her puppies out of there as soon as we discovered them and before any harm came to them.  The puppies are now living a life of luxury in their forever homes.  Amelia is an empty nester and looking for her happy home.  Amelia is not only gorgeous but an incredibly sweet pup she is great with kids, other respectful dogs and even likes cats.  She is the total package. Who would not want this stunning pup walking by your side, you'll be the envy of your neighborhood.   If you would like to be Amelia's forever family, please apply online to adopt Amelia (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.   RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 4, 2023, 11:47 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We received a call for help, this person had more then 20 animals on his property, adults and puppies he needed food and to get the girls fixed. A local spay/neuter clinic helped with spay/neuter, rabies and heartworm testing. All the adults were taken back to the owner and he is given dog food to help with feeding them. We were able to take in some of the young pups, had them heartworm tested (which was negative) spay/neutered all vaccines and microchipped. We took the puppies hoping they would be heartworm negative and they are. Since having them here we have had to work with them to learn to trust us, at first they will be a little nervous but give them time and they will fill your heart. They are crate trained, but not house broken. If you have a big heart and would like to give these puppies a chance, please email BakerBridgeRescue@aol.com and ask for an application, we would love to talk with you in detail about each pup. Once approved, we will call you. We transport every other week to a location near you with the most animal friendly transport - Rescue Riders Transport.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My name is Bella, and my story starts with my family being evicted from their home. There were several of us and we were left behind. The rescue took us in, and things have been looking up since then. I am around 2 years old. I was used for hunting and have an excellent nose on me. I still have a prey drive, so I can’t live with cats or animals I am used to hunting. I currently live with my foster family which includes several dogs and one child. I have adjusted to life in the house. I will even sleep in a crate or a doggie bed. I have a fenced in yard, which I love playing with my foster friends. My foster mom says I am very playful and silly. I need to see more of the world, since I lived in a very rural area. I do walk on a leash but still pull a little. I still act scared at new things and people. Once I trust you, I am the most loving hound around! Oh, and everyone compliments me on my looks. I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped and heartworm negative. My adoption fee covers a health certificate and transport from Tennessee.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ralphie is a male dog. He is very sweet, although very hyper. He is a good boy. He weighs about 60 pounds. He is brown and black with beautiful long legs. He is very vocal. He loves walks and play time. He loves his toys as well. He prefers stuffed toys bout the rubber toys work better because he destroys the stuffed ones fairly easy and soon. He desires his very own special family with less animals so he can have more attention on him. He craves people time and lots of affection. He rides well in the vehicle. He's very eager to please. He's very trainable if he has someone to work with him on a regular basis. He needs to be worked with on potty training. He walks on a leash but is still in the early stages of learning not to pull and walk the walker. He gets along with other animals, dogs and cats, but he does need time to warm up to them before they are just turned loose together. I would suggest slow, short introductions to start with and go from there. He has has all his vaccinations and is heart worm negative. He is on monthly heart worm prevention. He has been microchipped so if he were to get away from you, you will have a better of chance finding him. He is neutered. He is roughly 2 to 3 years old. He loves kids, but I would suggest older kids due to his young age and overly hyper tendencies. He loves to jump high and run. It would be great if he could have an area to run and play with his family so he doesn't have to worry about getting away or having any accidents. A fence of some sort would be ideal. He is food aggressive. I believe he had been deprived of food in the past and that is why he is this way. I do believe he can be worked with on this and in time it will cease. In my opinion, he just needs to know he doesn't have to fight for his food and his food is available when he is hungry. Other than that, I have never heard him growl or show unhappiness. If interested in adopting me contact bakerbridgerescue@aol.com. We transport every other week via Rescue Riders Transport to a location near you. We have the most animal friendly transport ever. Thank you for considering us and me.
