Story
Gloria is 5.5 years old, 50 lbs "Fantastic Fido: The Outdoorsy, Foodie, and Social Canine Sensation!" Woof woof! I'm an adventure-loving, farm-ready pup that's always on the move. My name? Well, let's just say I'm known as Gloria When it comes to the great outdoors, count me in! I'm a natural-born explorer, always sniffing out new scents, chasing butterflies, and investigating every nook and cranny . With my keen senses and hunting instincts, I'm always on the lookout for exciting things to discover and investigate. Who needs TV when you've got the great outdoors, right? Speaking of food, I'm a bit of a connoisseur. . I've got a discerning palate and a preference for home-cooked meals. Real chicken, beef, or fish? Now we're talking! There's nothing like a delicious, homemade feast to satisfy my hunger and keep me fueled for my adventures. But my foster mom now has me eating high quality dogfood as well, so I'm not as picky as I used to be. And let's talk treats! I'm not one to easily fall for just any treat. It's got to be the good stuff - real meaty goodness! Chicken, beef, or fish treats? Yes, please! I'll wag my tail and give you my best "puppy eyes" for those tasty morsels. One of my many talents is getting along famously with other dogs. I'm a social butterfly, always ready to make new furry friends and have a blast playing together. I've got great doggy manners and know how to play nice with others. After all, life's more fun when you've got a pack to run with! With my boundless energy and athleticism, I'm always up for some action. I love to run, jump, and play to my heart's content. Staying cooped up inside a house is just not my style. I need wide open spaces to stretch my legs and let my adventurous spirit soar. I've been known to give my paw-rents a run for their money when they try to keep me indoors - I'm just too full of life and excitement to sit still for long! But don't worry, I've got some good manners too. I know when it's time to do my business and I'm always cooperative when my paw-rents need to take me outside to pee. I've got a bladder of steel and can "hold it" like a champ! So, there you have it - the "Fantastic Fido"! I'm a fun loving, treat-demanding, adventure-seeking pup who's always ready for some outdoor fun. If you need a furry companion to join you on your outdoor adventures, look no further. I'm your girl! Woof woof!

Story
Anubis is a 2–3 year-old Plott Hound mix who was pulled from Animal Care & Control just in time, with his euthanasia deadline quickly approaching. This scared boy has a huge heart, and since coming into rescue, he’s been working hard to learn that the world can be a safe place. Anubis is a sweet, sensitive dog who needs someone willing to give him the time and patience he deserves. He can be fearful and lacks confidence, which means he does have a bite risk when he feels scared or overwhelmed. Because of this, we are looking for an experienced adopter who understands fearful dogs and is committed to continuing his training and building his confidence. The good news? Anubis is making incredible progress every single day. As he gets more comfortable and learns to trust, his sweet personality shines through. Once Anubis trusts you, he is truly the sweetest boy and will happily show you just how much love he has to give. Anubis is crate trained, house trained, and leash trained. He is dog friendly with the right introductions and does best when given time to properly meet and feel comfortable with another dog. His cat compatibility is currently unknown. NO KIDS! Anubis needs a patient, experienced adopter who will allow him to decompress, respect his boundaries, and continue helping him build confidence. He may need a little more time than some dogs, but we promise he is worth it. Anubis is currently located in the Charlotte area and is looking for someone who will give him the chance he almost never got. His adoption fee is $350. 🧬 Plott Hound mix 🎂 2–3 years old 💉 UTD on vaccines ✂️ Neutered ❤️ Heartworm status: Negative 🐶 Dog friendly with proper introductions 🐱 Cat compatibility unknown 🚽 House trained 💤 Crate trained 🦮 Leash trained 🧠 Building confidence & making great progress 💙 Sweet, sensitive, and incredibly loving once he trusts you ⚠️ Bite risk due to fear/lack of confidence 🏡 Experienced adopter required From Anubis: Hey, I’m Anubis. I know I can be a little scared at first, but I promise there’s a really sweet boy underneath all that fear. I’m learning every day that people can be kind and that I don’t always have to be afraid. Once I trust you, I’ll show you just how sweet I really am. I don’t need someone to fix me overnight, I just need someone patient enough to believe in me and give me the chance to become the dog I know I can be.

Story
Meet Taeko, who comes to us from the community, as her original owners surrendered her to us because they had a lifestyle change and no longer had time for her. Taeko was then adopted from our rescue less than a year ago, but per her second owner, fell down the stairs and her injury was too expensive for him to take her to the vet to give her the much-needed medical attention. Taeko is a 3-year-old, 57 lb., Plott Hound mix. She has had a very rough start in life and is in need of a safe and loving environment to be her soft landing and finally her forever home. Her previous injury was so bad, she had to have her back leg amputated. But this doesn't slow her down at all. She gets around just fine and hangs with the best of them. Taeko is very smart, housetrained, crate-trained, loves car rides, has impeccable leash manners, is calm, quiet, and very well-behaved. She is affectionate and is good with people and kids. While she does play with other dogs, she is dog selective and prefers to give all of her affection and attention to her human friends and family. We feel she would thrive best in a home with no other fur siblings and no cats. Taeko is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and microchipped. She has captured the hearts of the volunteer walkers and staff at boarding and if given the chance, she'll capture yours as well. If you are interested in meeting this smart girl, for adoption or to foster, (she's currently living in boarding) please reach out to us for an application.
