I got Tokyo in January of this year from the local shelter and she has been the most amazing addition to our family. She is a ball full of energy who loves to play and run around but also loves to snuggle at night. She is fully house trained but loves going outside or playing at the park with her friends. She has a goofy personality, loves people and other dogs. It breaks my heart to have to find her another home, but unfortunately due to the military I have to move and can’t take her with me but the last thing I want to do is have to bring her back to the shelter. I’m looking for a forever home for her with someone who can give her the love and attention that she deserves!

I came to the Humane Society of York County as a stray and I’m a heartworm warrior, successfully completing my treatment and back to full health. I’m a medium-size guy, about 55 pounds, and my estimated birth date is October 2022.I’m a gorgeous brindle boy with crazy soft fur, and I’m wonderfully social. I’ve represented the HSYC in the community and have been a sweetheart meeting new people. Penny came to the shelter as a stray, but it didn’t take long for her to win over the hearts of staff and volunteers alike. She is incredibly sweet, friendly, and affectionate. Penny loves getting pets, cuddling on the couch, and spending time close to her people. She also enjoys going for walks and seems like the kind of dog who would happily join you on adventures. Penny is about one year old and weighs around 35 pounds, making her a smaller, manageable size. While she resembles a Plott Hound, her exact mix is unknown. She has a medium-length coat and an adorable, distinctive curly tail. Penny is currently perfecting sit, down, and paw. We have also caught her play bowing with other dogs between kennels. Because of this, we believe she would do well with other dogs and children, though meet-and-greets are always recommended. With some structure and basic training, Penny has all the qualities to be an amazing companion. She is affectionate, playful, smart, and loyal. Most importantly, she is ready to find a loving home of her own. Fun tidbit: She wiggles her butt when she gets excited!

Hugh was owner surrendered to us. He is super sweet and playful and seems to get along with other dogs. He does not like men however. video included of him playing with his buddy Mia est dob 9/24/16 The standard adoption fee is $200, but it may vary depending on the situation and the animal. This includes vetting such as shots, spaying or neutering, microchipping, deworming, and heartworm testing if the animal is over six months of age. Please note**** We are a volunteer organization. Adoption events are held every Saturday 10-2 at our facility located st 2049 Badin Rd. Most of our animals are in foster homes. Please contact the foster if you would like to meet one of our rescues.
