Story
Meet Fable: Fable is a one year old (as of October 2024) plott hound mix (best guess) that weighs 36 pounds. This rootin tootin cowboy litter of 3 (Farley, Farris and Fable) are sure to steal some hearts! These cuties were found abandoned in a rural area and luckily made it to our rescue. Fable is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Fable is a sweet, playful handsome boy that is looking for his very own family! To put it simply, Fable is a big love bug! He just wants to be with his person and that’s what makes him happiest! Fable loves playing with toys and exploring around the dog yard. In the play yard he avoids rough play with the other foster dogs and likes to hang with the easy going ones. Fable has a gentle spirit and lots of love to give! Fable is working on his house training. We would love for Fable to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely! Fable is up to date on his shots and neutered. If you are interested in adopting this cute cowboy, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. CURRENT  LOCATION: Mississippi, awaiting transport to PA ##1807994##

Story
Mindy's human passed away. She lived with a Border Collie and a Newfoundland who have been rehomed. We could not find her vet records. She is very sweet and benefits from daily walks and playtime. Mindy must go to a home with only women and no cats. We think she had a rough start in life because she is uncomfortable around men. She is very affectionate and responsive to her foster mom, but not her foster dad. She has a high prey drive so she is not good with cats. She is crate trained and walks well on a leash. She needs someone who can spend some time with her to continue her training. She is on the waiting list for the BerksARL, but if she is adopted from us, the only fee is to reimburse the listing fee.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ASPEN IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Aspen is a friendly fella who was brought in as a stray, so his history is unknown. He’s friendly with people and a bit food-obsessed, and he is fairly energetic. He’ll do well with an owner who can keep a firm hand on him and help him expend his energy in a constructive way. Aspen is extremely underweight so needs to gain a few pounds. He will be neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting Aspen, please contact: Bath Animal Welfare Foundation EMAIL: bawfrescue@gmail.com PHONE: 1 (540) 968-6635Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 29, 2025, 11:41 pm
