Hi everyone, I’m Olive, an 10-year-young, 72 lb, Pointer/Great Dane and I am very tall! I am starting to get cataracts, but so far my vision is fine and I'm not having any trouble seeing. I was living life in San Antonio Texas when my owner split and left me with her 90-year-old mother, who then surrendered me to the city dog pound. I was pulled out by a rescue, placed in a foster home and then the rescue went out of business and I have been living with my foster mom for about 2 years. Due to too many dogs, my foster mom can't keep me forever, so 4 Little Paws Rescue has come to my aid, so I can FINALLY find a forever home!
I am a sweet and happy girl with a medium energy level and a gentle soul, just looking for someone to love and to go for walks with. I love all people young and old and I love other dogs, so it would be wonderful if I end up with a dog buddy in my new home, since I have always had built-in dog friends to play with. I am very well-behaved in a home. I rarely bark, I do not chew up your stuff, I potty outdoors, and I don't dig or try to jump over your fence. I happen to be very loyal, and my favorite place in the whole wide world is lounging on my doggy bed nearby my people. I have a beautiful “crooked smile” and so much love in my eyes that it will surely warm your heart. My foster mom says she loves my gentle nature as much as my kisses and I deserve so much better than I have had so far. I am an amazing lady, not ready for retirement, and I adjust well every time I am presented with a new environment and new people to love. There is a rescue dog transport van leaving Texas next week and I am hoping like crazy that I will be on board and on my way to a brand new future with a real forever family!
