Story
Moe, Pointer mix, White and Brown, Male neutered, 3 years old Moe is a very friendly and social boy!  He is very easy going and loves to get attention!  Moe is friendly with other dogs, but has never lived with cats and seems unsure of them.  He would do best with children over the age of 7 years old.    **This dog is at the Ocean County Animal Facility North located at 615 Fremont Ave, Jackson NJ (off of Hope Chapel Rd).  All dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and have age appropriate shots.** To adopt our dogs you must come to the facility with your entire family, including dogs, to meet with our staff and the dog you are interested in. We are open to the public seven days a week between the hours of 1pm and 4pm.   Please call our facility at 732-657-8086 for more information about any of our pets! May 21, 2025, 4:29 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Scott is a handsome boy who is looking for a new home. Scott is currently with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters.  Scott was found as a stray and taken in by our partner rescue. His owner saw him on social media to let them know that he used to be their dog but they can't take care of him. She said he was an outside dog and ran off during a storm. Could you blame him? Left out 24/7 in the weather no matter if hot, cold, rain or wind...at the mercy of mosquitos 24/7 just about 365 days a year... a horrible way to live. Scott is doing great at the shelter and very loved by the volunteers. He is dog friendly! Scott is fixed, microchipped and he is up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. Of course he tested positive for heartworm due to his neglect but his treatment is underway. Treatment can be done in Louisiana or NJ if we find a foster willing to see him through it. His  adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wagoninn.rescuegroups.org. Click on the orange  Online Adoption Application  button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 19, 2025, 10:16 pm

Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Dottie needs a very active leader for her best fit. She is a dominant personality and if she had an energetic owner, who is a pack leader, she’d be golden. She is a working breed and needs someone who can guide her. Very affectionate as well as active. She’s a great dog just needs to land in the right place. A fenced yard is definitely needed Age: 1 year. WT: 58 lbs. Temperament: Good with energetic male dogs, no small kids, she is a herder. Vetting: spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative. Training: crate trained, house trained, knows commands Sit-stay-down-heel . For questions, please email loramyers51@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.

Story
Meet Sammy! Sammy’s owners can no longer care for him because of their own health issues. Help us find Sammy a new home with an active family! He is a lovable 1-year-old pointer/mixed breed weighing around 75 lbs. With a heart full of energy and a playful spirit, Sammy is always up for adventure! He loves to run, play ball, and dig holes, making him the perfect companion for an active family or someone who enjoys outdoor activities. While he enjoys cuddles and loves to be close to his people, Sammy is still working on some basic training, like walking nicely on a leash and learning not to jump up. He’s also a bit of a furniture chewer, likely due to his high energy levels and need for more playtime than what his current home can provide him. Sammy would thrive in a home that can offer him the exercise and attention he craves, with a bit of training to help him become the well-behaved dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion who will keep you on your toes, Sammy is the one for you! http://www.coldnosewarmheart.org/dog-application.html @cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj

Story
Meet Rubix - a lovable, playful one-year-old mixed breed weighing 59 lbs. Rescued from NYCACC, his past remains a mystery, but we believe he once had a special boy in his life whom he dearly misses. He’s particularly drawn to his teenage foster brother, showcasing the affectionate bond he can form with older kids. One thing is for sure and his foster family can attest to this: he makes a wonderful companion. Known for his bright personality, Rubix is an absolute sweetheart and so smart with an impressive command of tricks. He responds to commands like sit, down, settle, wait, search, drop it, and is a jokester who can even play dead! He’s house trained and will let you know when it’s time to go outside (and boy does he love playing outdoors). Whether he’s cuddling up for a nap like a full-body pillow with the nearest human or racing around the yard, Rubix brings joy to everyone around him. At the heart of it all, he simply just loves to be loved. This sweet boy is perfect for a family with older kids or empty nesters who can appreciate his energy and love for play. He adores other dogs and enjoys playing with them, though he may need an active family familiar with larger breeds (though in his head, he thinks he's a little guy not aware of his size). Rubix is the quintessential pup who loves toys and is always ready for adventure—whether it’s hiking, beach days, or jogging alongside you. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who thrives on love and play, Rubix is your guy! Let’s give him the fresh start he’s been dreaming of. Apply today to adopt Rubix at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application using a computer or laptop. Together, we can make a difference for this amazing pup. If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG!
