Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website. Text (863) 617-8453 or email alaynabrown16@gmail.com for more information or to adopt the pet.Poppy is a 6-year-old Pointer mix who has tons of energy to run around and play, but also LOVES to snuggle. He’s very smart and eager to learn more, and he’s very food-motivated, making his training even smoother. He also has a quirky personality and is always ready to make someone laugh. He does come from a previously abusive situation before the current house he resides in, with a past history of being attacked by other dogs. He might freeze from time to time if he gets anxious, and he doesn’t particularly like loud noises or voices. Despite this, he is still very friendly with just about everyone and seems to enjoy the presence of other dogs as well as cats. He is up to date on all vaccinations, is neutered, and is also microchipped. He weighed roughly about 56 pounds when he was last weighed a few months ago, but has since put on a couple healthy pounds and is probably closer to 60 pounds. Poppy is a wonderful and sweet boy, who deserves someone with a lot more free time on their hands and yard to run around in. Please help him find his perfect home.My preferred method of contact is text or email, as I work a lot, however, I can call you back if you leave a voicemail. My phone number is (863) 617-8453 and my email is alaynabrown16@gmail.com. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. She quickly made friends with our two male border collies with whom she enjoys hiking, playing stick and frisbee. While she is spayed and our border collies neutered, unfortunately our collies compete, sometimes aggressively, for her attention through no fault of her own. She has had all required vaccinations to date as well as a heartworm test. She is good with other dogs, tolerates cats and children well, loves to run for balls/sticks/frisbees, and she is a great cuddler. Her ideal home would include no more than one other male dog and room for her to exercise. I can be contacted through my email: bhpwwp@gmail.com, or my cell phone:828-551-2157. Story
Addie is a well-rounded queen! She loves to play with friends but she can also keep herself entertained. She has proper manners and knows when it's time to chill. She is crate-trained, likes dogs, kids and cats! She's a triple threat!  Addie has a little stranger danger when meeting new people but she warms up pretty quickly.   The best home for Addie would be one with another dog or two; she prefers them to be smaller than her because larger dogs scare her. Cats are no bother, but if there is a daddy in the home, he will need to be patient and provide some of the treats and meals.  She is a little more nervous of men, but food is the way to her heart and after a few days of treats, a daddy is acceptable.  Don't miss out on your chance to meet sweet Addie. Addie is 2 years old, weighs 45 pounds, is up to date on vaccines, spayed, is on monthly flea and heartworm prevention and her adoption fee is $250Apply to meet Addie at mpravl.org All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption.
