Story
Contact the foster at, jsokley@gmail.comMeet Greta — your ideal match might be waiting!Greta is a beautiful, gentle soul with a funny, affectionate personality. She’s a curious girl who enjoys hanging out in the yard for a game of fetch, hunting for the perfect stick, sunbathing and lounging on the couch with her favorite human. Greta has all of the basics covered and is potty trained, crate trained and walks nicely in a harness. This funny girl enjoys keeping herself entertained by tossing her toys up and down the stairs and often strikes hilarious sleeping poses (imagine one paw up in the air!). She loves toys and has a hard time picking which one to play with when there are so many choices! Treat-motivated and eager to please, she’ll do just about anything for a tasty snack — especially bananas or doggy ice cream! She is making wonderful progress with training and knows Sit, Down, Shake, Leave it and Wait. Despite her goofy side, Greta is a sensitive pup who appreciates a calm, gentle home. She has a shy, cautious personality but opens up quickly when she trusts you. Greta is happy to be the only dog in the home or enjoys (and is in foster with) a low key doggy sibling (always with a slow and proper introduction). If you’re looking for a smart, silly, and loyal shadow who will make you laugh and melt your heart, Greta might be your ideal match.More about Greta:- Walks well with a front-clip harness- Enters her crate easily and does well for hours without complaint- Very quiet around the house and rarely barks at outside distractions (people, dogs, deliveries, etc)- Non-destructive when left alone in a spare bedroom and is content to curl up near a window to watch the world- Potty-trained and will let you know when she needs to”go out”- Dog friendly - In foster with a low key male dog and has attended daycare (always best with slow and proper introductions)- Gives gentle kisses to her favorite people!- Rides well in the car- Has the most adorable, webbed paws - Cutest jogging gait— it’s like she’s trotting at an angle!- Greta needs to be in a cat free home - they are too fun to chase

Kiki Female, born 3/15/26 8lbs at 6 weeks-- she'll be a big girl! Curious, playful and snuggly-- the most observant of the bunch Loves her foster siblings, toys and tug of war Kiki and her siblings were orphaned when their mom died during their birth. We don't know anything about their parents, and her appearance is really changing as she grows! They've been lovingly bottle fed, and now they're eating big puppy food and starting to explore the world. They'll thrive in homes with puppy experience and tolerant adult dogs to help them continue learning how to dog.Adoption fee: $400 and includes worming, puppy shots, microchip and spay when she's old enough.Apply here: www.northmeckanimalrescue.org ##2709925##

Story
Name: Tatum Estimated Birthday: 11/1/2022 Breed: Pitbull/Hound Mix Size: 65 lbs House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Good with Kids: Yes – best with older kids due to his enthusiasm Good with Dogs: Yes, but prefers slow introductions Meet Tatum—resident goofball, professional snuggler, and longtime rescue favorite who’s been patiently waiting far too long for his big moment. If this were a movie, he’d be the underdog you can’t help but root for… and trust us, he’s ready for his happy ending. Tatum is the best of both worlds: part zoomies, part couch potato. One minute he’s tossing toys in the air and doing his signature silly spins, and the next he’s curled up beside you, fully committed to a Netflix (or “dog TV”) marathon. He’s got that lovable, slightly goofy charm that makes every day a little brighter—and a lot more fun. This smart boy has his basics down like a champ. He’s fully house trained, loves his crate (his cozy “room”), and already knows commands like “sit” and “stay”—especially when snacks or outdoor adventures are involved. He’s eager to please and enjoys learning, which makes him a great candidate for continued training or even fun activities like agility or nose work. Tatum adores people and does great with older kids who can match his enthusiasm. He can get a little bouncy when he’s excited (he just really loves life), so a home without tiny kiddos would suit him best. With other dogs, he’s more of a “let’s take it slow and be polite” kind of guy—he can absolutely make friends, he just appreciates thoughtful introductions. Tatum is more than ready to foster life for a home of his own. Busy, crowded environments can be a bit overwhelming for him, so he’d thrive in a calmer setting where he can truly relax and be himself. Here’s the thing about Tatum: he’s not just looking for a home—he’s waiting for his person. The one who sees how special he is, goofy quirks and all. And when he finds you? You’ll get a loyal, loving, endlessly entertaining best friend who’s been saving up years of love just for you. If you believe in second chances, big hearts, and dogs who make life more fun… Tatum is ready to meet you. Tatum’s Favorite Things: - Ladies! All the woman fall in love with him! - Sniffing and exploring the outdoors - Watching Dog TV and cuddling on the couch - Digging through his toy bin to find the one - Enjoying some well-earned naps after playtime Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only.
