Story
Colt is a 4 year old pointer mix who likes to roam. He has broken our fence many times and we do not have a very kind neighbor when he gets out. She has called animal control and has threatened to shoot him if he gets out again. He doesn't like our neighbor's dog who is frequently not on a leash nor do they have a fence. In the last year, he has escaped so many times, we are so afraid that either the neighbor will hurt him or he will get hit by a car on our busy road. He is loving and full of energy. Since my husband passed away in October, he has not had much exercise. He needs a home where there's a sturdy fence or acerage. We have 3 other rescues and they get along fine with each other. He just doesn't like the neighbor's dog. Our vet has prescribed some prozac for his anxiety with this dog. Colt has been well cared for and just recently had his annual exam and proheart shot. I am asking for a rehoming fee to make sure he is in a good home. We live in Troutman.

Meet Chip! Chip is a happy, sweet, and loving boy! He had a tough past, so he’s a little shy at first but comes around with patience. Once he gains your trust, he adores pets and attention. He would be happy to sit with you ALL day!! Chip gets along great with dogs of all sizes. He is crate trained and house trained. He sees his crate as a safe place and will go in it with the door open.Chip walks very well on a leash, enjoys outdoor adventures, and loves car rides. Chip takes a solid 2-3 days to get comfortable in a new home, But once he does, he is playful, cuddly and happy! If you will open your heart and home to Chip, he will definitely steal your heart and make a loyal loving companion! Meet Gretchen! Age: est 2 years. Breed: pointer mix. Size: approx 50lbs. Training: crate, leash, and doing well with house trained. Good with dogs/cats? Yes to both. Good with men/women/kids? Yes. Personality: friendly, affectionate, and playful. Reason for rescue: Gretchen showed up and had pups in someone's carport. Animal control picked mom and pups up once they were old enough. When she came in, she was heartworm positive, but has been treated. She will also go home with the remainder of 6 months of heartworm prevention. Story
Hello, my name is Lola! I am an English Pointer born 7/18/22. I came to Richardson rescue because my owner died and there was no one to take care of me and my siblings. She has a gentle temperament and we have observed no aggressive issues. Being a hunting dog and living outside, she does have a bit of shyness that her new family will need to work on with her. She is very submissive when she meets another dog and would do great, if not better, with another dog in the home. She walks well on a leash and loves walks. She loves to run also so an active family with a fenced yard would be perfect. Lola also loves cuddles and has the softest fur ever! Like velvet to the touch. Lola is spayed, microchipped and current on all medical, heartworm and flea prevention. If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue.org.        - Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2025, 2:08 pm
