She has a calm personality, enjoys being around people, and would be happiest in a quiet, stable home with plenty of room to relax.As Dixie has gotten older, her future family should understand that she is a senior and may need more frequent opportunities to go outside, patience, and a home environment that is well suited for an older dog.Dixie would likely thrive in a larger home, especially one with a securely fenced yard or some land where she can easily spend time outside. A quieter household with adults or older/adult children would be the best fit for her.Dixie should be the only dog in the home so she can have her own space and receive the individual attention she deserves.She still has so much sweetness left to give and my hope is to find a home for this next chapter of her life.

New people and unfamiliar situations can make me a bit nervous at first, so I like to take things slow and get to know you at my own pace. Once I feel comfortable, I enjoy being close to my favorite people and soaking up quiet affection. There’s nothing better than knowing I’m safe and loved. I’m looking for a family that understands that trust takes time and is willing to help me build my confidence. With gentle encouragement and a stable home, I know I’ll continue to come out of my shell and show just how wonderful a friend I can be.
