I do walk on leash but due to my muscle size I do need some leash walking polishing. I will do best in a calm and active home with another dog or no dog. Callie is full of energy and can be quite hyper at times but she is super sweet and smart. She knows how to play fetch and loves to tease you with a ball or tug toy. She loves pets but would rather lick you and will give an occasional love nip when she is really excited. Callie will need a lot of training but she is incredibly smart and motivated by treats. She is potty trained and sits when asked but sometimes it takes a few requests when she is really excited or has been in her crate for a while. She is crate trained and will enter her crate using the term “kennel up”. She is super friendly with other dogs and people but will bark likes to bark, using the words “leave it” seem to be helpful. She is still learning to walk on a leash and likes to pull but is improving. A home with older kids without cats would be best for Callie because of her strong drive to chase. She is good with other dogs and loves to play but sometimes doesn’t have special awareness. She would make an excellent hunting dog. She is high energy so NO Apartments for her. A securely fenced yard so she can run and chase a ball is a must. Banfield said she has 5 breeds that she doesn`t act or look like and her former owner said she was a boxer husky, NOPE she doesn`t act or look like that. She looks like a Pointer. She acts like a pointer so we say she is a pointer. Meet Aspen! Aspen is a very sweet guy who loves attention! He has been good with kids, good with other dogs, loves to snuggle with dogs and cats alike. Aspen's best good friend is his foster fur brother, they are best pals and even nap together sometimes. Aspen loves to run and play, and is extremely food motivated. While Aspen does well with cats he does sometimes chase after cats that run. He's not out to eat the cat, he just thinks chasing is a fun game. Aspen loves giving big kisses right on your face and will mischievously steal your shoe or socks give the opportunity, he just doesn't want you to forget he's thinking of you. Aspen has a bit of anxiety and can be vocal when expressing his discomfort or displeasure. While Aspen is crate trained when he's home alone and anxious he can sometimes be an escape artist. Aspen isn't a fan of the rain, so will need some encouragement to learn to be a proper Oregonian (or Washingtonian as the case may be). With good leadership he will be a great family dog or a work buddy.

When I was born, I assure you I didn't want to grow up to be left in a high kill shelter, however, that is what happened to me. LUCKILY, the fates (and some awesome rescue folks) aligned and saved me from certain death and brought me to a safe place where I can find a REAL family and a REAL home. Let me tell you about myself, I am cute, happy, loving, nervous at times, but have the long legs of a pointer! I have lots of energy for running, jumping and playing and I have the handsome chiseled jaw that most actors would love to have! Now if you need a great looking chap, look my way!!!
