Hey my name is Samson and I’m one big boy. At 9 months old I’m am a whopping 75 lb. I might be some sort of grate Dane mix but with rescue it’s always a bit of a mystery.
I currently live with my brother apollo and we LOVE to wrestle and goof off all day long. I am more on the shy side and take a bit to open up but once I do I am super friendly and love my people. Im still learning not to jump on people when I get excited but I just can’t help it when you become my favorite people. With how big I am and because I’m jumpy I would do best with older kids in the home. When I’m not getting attention I love to lean or sit on my humans feet till they start petting me. I dont know much of what personal space is so be ready for lots of cuddles.
I currently live with a cat and love to play with it. If I can see the cat and am separated though I will bark till you release me to play. I don’t like it when the kittys swat at me and I’ll start barking at it if it does. I’ll do best in a home with a confident playful cat.
My foster has done an amazing job with training us so let me tell you all about the stuff we know. I love car rides and hop right into the car. My foster has taught me the word wait when she opens the door to the car to unload us and we wait for our release word which is “unload”. I am crate trained and actually love hanging out in there when we have some down time. My foster currently crates is at night and while they are gone at work. They leave the doors open while they are around and if it’s not play time I’ll take my favorite toy to the crate and cuddle with it till the next adventure begins. Some other commands we know include. Sit, down, off, and come and our foster is currently teaching us stay. The biggest thing I will need work on is leash training. I’m a big puller but would absolutely love to go to some obedience classes with you.
Now that you know all about me how bout adding me as your next family member?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
