Story
Hi there, my name is Jerry! I came all the way from NC in hopes to find my forever home :) I'm a young guy looking for some love. At first I can be a little nervous meeting new people, but if you give me some time to warm up I'll love you forever. One of my favorite things to do once I warm up to you is give you a big hug or crawl in your lap so I can have all your attention. Since I'm nervous with meeting new people, a household with no little toddlers running around would be best for me, those small children move too quickly for me. Since I've been at the shelter for a little over a year, I've become a bit depressed and moody. I'm losing hope finding my forever home but I know it has to be out there somewhere! My friends here would love to go over my behavior with you if you think I may be the one for you! I would do best in a home as the only pet. I just want you all to myself! If you are unable to adopt, please consider helping support Jerry and his friends by clicking on the donate button below his profile. It would be pawsitively awesome!

Story
Quincy spent his life chained to a tree but when the heat index hit 100 and he was tied in full sun, one of our volunteers couldn't take anymore and knocked on the man's door. She ended up giving the man $50 for him. He was very skinny and hot but other than that in good shape. He is 2 years old and now weighs a healthy 40 lbs. He is neutered, UTD on all required vaccines and HW negative. He is also microchipped. Quincy is the sweetest dog! He is house and crate trained and really is a wonderful companion dog, loving everyone he meets. he is also energetic and playful. If you would like to make this special guy your new family member, please contact omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com and we will send our info and application.

Story
My name is Danica and I am a 4 month old puppy that God painted in a very special way.  My black and white markings make everyone notice me. I have black splashes on my face that stand out and then you add my strong desire to be your shadow in life and to love intensely the people who give me shelter and affection, well you have a special canine companion.  I love and embrace all living creatures and all people no matter their size or loudness (I live around 3 very busy young boys).  I have not been exposed to lots of things in my life so I have some shyness that will disappear with experience and time.  I am building my confidence every day.  I was born to a Pointer mix dad and a Bulldog mom and there were 9 of us originally. I just want a nice soft dog bed, a reliable family that keeps me on a schedule that is predictable and who will love me unconditionally.   I want to learn and I want to be a girl puppy that you are proud of.  I will be a 50-60 pounds girl when I am all grown up.   I am ready for a home TODAY!   I promise to make you a great friend and companion for a long, long time. Please email to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you want to know more about me…and yes there are brothers and sisters just like me!!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 7, 2023, 1:37 pm

Story
My name is Breanna and I am a pretty little girl puppy that is almost 5.5 months old and born around May 1st.   I won’t bore you with the sad story because most of the southern pups have one, but I was lucky that me and my   7 siblings got out of our situation alive.  I didn’t have the best start to my life and I wasn’t handled by loving people when my litter was born.  In fact the people moved off and left all of my litter in an outdoor pen with no food or water.  Luckily some neighbors there in the country learned of this and brought us some food and water a few days each week.   I have to eat all by myself because I am fearful another dog might take my food if there is one around.  But my foster mom says that I am the most loving and dearest, sweetest girl on the planet.    I love to snuggle with her and I love to have her tell me how pretty that I am and loved, too. Naturally when I first meet new people, I am timid for just a short time and then I warm up when I feel that they will be nice to me.   I adore playing and being with other dogs and I could be at a dog park every day and I would be in heaven.  I could also live with other dogs or cats in a home and that would be fun too!  My foster mom says that I am like a Teddy Bear at night as I sleep right next to her in the best snuggle position ever.  I am crate trained and I truly like my crate and sometimes when I want some alone time I will go there on my own.  I would love to have a family with another dog that could be my best friend and show me the ropes of confidence.   I also would like to go to some fun training classes too.  I am smart and would love to learn more about being the best dog I can be.   I am using a harness right now and that is my best way to walk on a leash.  I will whine when I need to go outside but it is still hard for me to go 8 hours straight without going outside.  When I grow up I will be a 45 -50 pound girl.  I will be a loving and very devoted girl that you always be proud that you rescued and adopted.  Let’s be forever friends!   Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com right now!    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 7, 2023, 1:37 pm

Story
Our pretty little girl is called Cora and what a loving and sweet little Pointer mix girl she truly is.  She loves playing with other dogs and sleeping in the bed with her foster mom.  This little girl was one of 8 puppies left in an outdoor pen and basically abandoned by the former owner when they loved.  Neighbors stopped by for 3 months to feed and water the puppies and sadly that was all.  They grew and grew and eventually started fighting over the little food they had and the small pen was just so confining. One of the great Critter Cavalry Rescue foster moms heard of their plight and went to get them out of their hot, and confining pen that offered no exercise and not enough food daily…and NO HUMAN LOVE.  Now Cora and her siblings are seeking homes where they can spread their wings and bask in the love and care of their new families.  Cora is remarkably loving and fun and seems to not have been emotionally stunted by their early months of growing up abandoned.  We know that she loves other dogs!  She plays with a 45 pound black lab male that is a year old and “Her and Bo are like two peas in a pod”.  They absolutely love playing together, tug of war, chasing each other in the yard, or just sleeping in the dog bed together.  Cora is good with cats and loves the young children that are in the home, even with all their noise and high energy play.  She is almost there with her potty training and she is good with being in the crate at times needed.  Cora relates to people and loves them.  She always needs to be right by someone and loves to lay on your feet. She has learned not to be possessive of her good or toys as she first started out being.  We totally understood the possessiveness and now she is relaxed and eager to share.  This pretty girl and her siblings have come such a long way.  We are so happy for them to be in out foster care and receiving the love that they so readily deserve.  If you really want to adopt a “rescued dog” then Cora is the total definition of a rescued puppy! If you are interested in making her your own please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com!!!
