Story
LOCATION: Linden, VA Chip's adoption fee is fully sponsored — lucky pup! 🐶 Meet Chip! Chip is a fun-loving, energetic pup with a big heart and an impressive affinity for fetch – he’s truly a natural athlete! Whether he’s chasing a ball or entertaining himself with his toys, Chip brings a playful spirit and joy to everyday life. He also loves baths! Chip may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and loyal personality shines. He forms strong bonds and loves being close to his people—whether that’s relaxing on the couch or lying at your feet while you work. He’s still a puppy, though, and can get a little mouthy or overly excited during play but redirects well when given cues and boundaries. He will thrive in a home that offers structure and encouragement where he can continue building confidence. • Secure yard: Chip loves having space to run and play freely. • Exercise: He’s an active pup who benefits from regular playtime. He’s improving on leash walks but can still be a little fearful in new environments. • Companions: Chip has done well with other dogs, from calm companions to rough-and-rowdy playmates. He is also good with cats! • Crate trained: Chip does well in his crate and settles nicely, sometimes putting himself in for naps or chew toy time. He sleeps through the night and does not have crate accidents. • Potty training: Chip is still working on potty training and will need continued consistency and routine. • Toys: Chip has experienced a lot of change in his short life so far and can sometimes be protective of toys or high-value items, but he responds well to trades and positive reinforcement. • Kids: Chip does well with older children who can respect his space and help him continue building confidence. Are you Chip's hero? If so, apply to adopt today!

Story
Sweetie is a 5 month old mixed breed puppy with the cutest spotted nose and belly. She weighs about 23 pounds now, so she will not be a huge dog full grown. She was in an overcrowded shelter just begging for pets and attention. She loves her belly rubbed and is so cuddly. She is a happy, friendly girl. She is good with other dogs and kids too. She is working on her house and crate training in foster care. Apply at bcaaofnj.orgInterested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Meet Sundae Sundae is a beautiful, mature girl who is 8 years old and weighs around 60 lbs. She has been a loved family dog her entire life and has been well cared for, including regular yearly veterinary checkups (most recently seen by the vet in June).Sundae is affectionate and enjoys being pet and loved, but she does have clear boundaries. She does not do well with rough handling or having her body messed with (ears, tail, etc.). Because of this, she is not a match for homes with babies or toddlers who are still learning how to interact with dogs. She has never shown aggression toward adults or older children who understand and respect a dog’s boundaries. A home with kids around 7 years old or older who can listen and interact appropriately would be just fine. She is friendly with people and has done well around strangers. Sundae has also been around cats, puppies, and small dogs and does well with them, though her ideal home would be one where she can soak up attention as the only pet.Sundae is house trained and was crate trained in the past, but has not used a crate in the last couple of years. She does not chew furniture or belongings. While she isn’t interested in dog toys, she enjoys treats and bones and is very easy in the home.On leash, Sundae generally does well, but she may get excited if she sees another dog or a squirrel. The ideal home for Sundae would be a calm, stable household—preferably an adult couple or individual—with no babies and no other pets, where she can receive plenty of love, attention, and consistency for the rest of her life. She would also do well in a home with respectful, dog-savvy older children.Sundae is currently still living in her home and is safely managed by being kept separate from a toddler. She is free-roaming when appropriate and will remain with her family until the right forever home is found. The goal is not to rush her placement, but to ensure she goes to someone who will truly love her and honor her needs for the rest of her life.Sundae deserves a home where she can finally relax, feel understood, and be cherished. Story
I adopted Hazel May 16, 2026 to give her a loving home. Sadly, I've realized that I cannot provide what she needs. Through no fault of her own, I need to rehome her, so that she can have the life she deserves. She was born February 16, 2026. She is adorable, smart, super sweet, and very gentle. She's relaxed with short bursts of playfulness. She loves to be snuggled, and wants attention from both children and adults. She's already showing signs of being a great companion. House training is coming along nicely, and she has learned place. She's very eager to please. She's a small pup, 8 pounds at this time and not expected to exceed 44 pounds. The perfect home for her would be one where she has plenty of attention and some room to run and play. Rehome fee 125.00 or best reasonable offer. She is microchipped, spayed, has rabies vaccine, DHLPP, Bordetella, dewormed, and heartworm prevention. Only serious inquiries please.

Story
Meet Cooper! He’s a 1 year old Great Dane/Pointer mix with the sweetest personality and the cutest goofy side. Cooper is friendly, affectionate, and loves being part of whatever you’re doing. He enjoys toys, chew bones, and hanging out with his people, but he also has a playful side and would love another dog to romp around with or a couple of walks each day to burn off some energy. He walks well on a leash and is doing great with both crate training and house training. Cooper gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy fit for many different kinds of families. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a forever home of his own. 🐾
