LOCATION: Linden, VA Chip's adoption fee is fully sponsored — lucky pup! 🐶 Meet Chip! Chip is a fun-loving, energetic pup with a big heart and an impressive affinity for fetch – he’s truly a natural athlete! Whether he’s chasing a ball or entertaining himself with his toys, Chip brings a playful spirit and joy to everyday life. He also loves baths! Chip may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and loyal personality shines. He forms strong bonds and loves being close to his people—whether that’s relaxing on the couch or lying at your feet while you work. He’s still a puppy, though, and can get a little mouthy or overly excited during play but redirects well when given cues and boundaries. He will thrive in a home that offers structure and encouragement where he can continue building confidence. • Secure yard: Chip loves having space to run and play freely. • Exercise: He’s an active pup who benefits from regular playtime. He’s improving on leash walks but can still be a little fearful in new environments. • Companions: Chip has done well with other dogs, from calm companions to rough-and-rowdy playmates. He is also good with cats! • Crate trained: Chip does well in his crate and settles nicely, sometimes putting himself in for naps or chew toy time. He sleeps through the night and does not have crate accidents. • Potty training: Chip is still working on potty training and will need continued consistency and routine. • Toys: Chip has experienced a lot of change in his short life so far and can sometimes be protective of toys or high-value items, but he responds well to trades and positive reinforcement. • Kids: Chip does well with older children who can respect his space and help him continue building confidence. Are you Chip's hero? If so, apply to adopt today!

Story
Meet Sweetie – Equal Parts Angel, Comedian, and Backyard Security Officer! At just 6 months old and 25 pounds, Sweetie has already mastered some impressive life skills. She knows sit, can catch treats like a pro, and when you tell her "Go to bed,"she'll happily trot right into her crate. She's smart, eager to please, and always ready to learn what's next.Sweetie is also incredibly resourceful. Need a better view out the window? No problem—she'll simply use her foster sibling as a booster seat. (Don't worry, they don't seem to mind.) She's happiest when she's with her people, romping around with her foster dog siblings, or patrolling the yard for the highly suspicious chipmunks daring to invade the garden beds. Sweetie takes her landscaping security job very seriously. She gets along wonderfully with dogs, kids, and would thrive in a home where she has plenty of love, toys, and maybe another pup to wrestle with. If you're looking for a puppy who is equal parts cuddly, clever, and guaranteed to make you laugh every single day, Sweetie just might be your perfect match.Warning: Sweetie may steal your heart... and your favorite spot by the window.  Apply at bcaaofnj.orgInterested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
Meet Sundae Sundae is a beautiful, mature girl who is 8 years old and weighs around 60 lbs. She has been a loved family dog her entire life and has been well cared for, including regular yearly veterinary checkups (most recently seen by the vet in June).Sundae is affectionate and enjoys being pet and loved, but she does have clear boundaries. She does not do well with rough handling or having her body messed with (ears, tail, etc.). Because of this, she is not a match for homes with babies or toddlers who are still learning how to interact with dogs. She has never shown aggression toward adults or older children who understand and respect a dog’s boundaries. A home with kids around 7 years old or older who can listen and interact appropriately would be just fine. She is friendly with people and has done well around strangers. Sundae has also been around cats, puppies, and small dogs and does well with them, though her ideal home would be one where she can soak up attention as the only pet.Sundae is house trained and was crate trained in the past, but has not used a crate in the last couple of years. She does not chew furniture or belongings. While she isn’t interested in dog toys, she enjoys treats and bones and is very easy in the home.On leash, Sundae generally does well, but she may get excited if she sees another dog or a squirrel. The ideal home for Sundae would be a calm, stable household—preferably an adult couple or individual—with no babies and no other pets, where she can receive plenty of love, attention, and consistency for the rest of her life. She would also do well in a home with respectful, dog-savvy older children.Sundae is currently still living in her home and is safely managed by being kept separate from a toddler. She is free-roaming when appropriate and will remain with her family until the right forever home is found. The goal is not to rush her placement, but to ensure she goes to someone who will truly love her and honor her needs for the rest of her life.Sundae deserves a home where she can finally relax, feel understood, and be cherished. Story
Located Seven Valleys PA Meet Sammy! 🐾 If you’re looking for a best friend with a heart of gold, Sammy might just be your perfect match! At just 6 months old and around 40 pounds, this handsome suspected Lab/Pointer mix is as sweet as they come. Sammy can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a few minutes and you’ll quickly see what a gentle, loving boy he is. Once he trusts you, he’s all about quiet companionship and soaking up affection. He’s doing wonderfully with potty training and is crate trained, only voicing a few initial complaints before settling down. Sammy walks nicely on a leash, loves spending time with other dogs, seems to do well with cats, and enjoys kids too. While some puppies are always on the go, Sammy’s favorite hobby is catching up on his beauty sleep! When he’s awake, you’ll usually find him happily chewing on a bone or enjoying time with his furry friends. Sammy is the perfect blend of playful puppy and laid-back cuddle buddy. He’s ready to find a patient, loving family who will help his confidence continue to grow and show him what forever feels like. Could that be you? ❤️
