Story
Mauser is a striking Pointer mix with the kind of energy and spirit that make life a little more exciting. At around 2 years old and 39 pounds, he’s that perfect medium size for adventures; big enough to keep up on the trails, small enough to curl up beside you when the day winds down. He’s a ball-driven boy through and through– focused, athletic, and happiest when his mind and body are engaged. A home that offers plenty of playtime, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help him thrive. He’s looking to be your one-and-only pup, not because he lacks love to give, but because he shines brightest when he has your full attention and trust. For a dog-savvy household ready for a loyal, spirited companion who turns every day into an adventure, Mauser might just be your perfect match. Mauser's adoption fee is $50 (not including tax) which includes each animal fixed, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, kept on monthly preventions, and dewormed. If you are interested in adopting any of our animals please fill out an application on our website lastchanceranch.org. 🏠Last Chance Ranch 📍9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA ⭐️PA Kennel License #4518

Story
Meet Waylon! 🐾❤️ Waylon is an absolutely adorable 2-year-old Pointer/Hound mix with the softest, most soulful eyes and a sweet, earnest expression that melts you the moment he looks your way. He has this gentle little head tilt that makes him look like he’s truly listening to every word you say — it’s impossible not to fall for him. Waylon is a tender, humble boy who just wants to be close to his people. He’ll quietly follow you around, happy to be near you and share in whatever you’re doing. He starts off a bit shy, but once he trusts you, he opens up into the most loving, loyal little shadow. Waylon does wonderfully with kids, loves other dogs, and even does well with cats, making him an easy fit into a wide variety of homes. He’s already crate trained and picking up on new routines and commands fast — he truly wants to please. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a family who will cherish his gentle heart and lovable personality. Story
Luna Star is a sensitive, sweet 1-year old Pointer mix who’s still adjusting to shelter life. She was recently surrendered due to allergies by the only family she had ever known. Losing her home has left her unsure, but each day she’s warming up, showing her gentle nature, and making new friends here.Once she feels safe, Luna Star starts to show gentle curiosity and enjoys taking things in at her own pace. She’s not quite ready for big zoomies or full-on play yet, but she’s slowly building confidence day by day. She’ll do best with an active family who can give her calm encouragement, steady routines, and opportunities to grow into her potential. A fenced yard is still a must so she has a secure space to explore and stretch her legs as she gains confidence. Luna Star may enjoy living with another friendly, playful dog who will welcome her and help her feel secure. Because she’s still building confidence and adjusting to big changes, she’ll thrive best in an adult-only home that offers patience, predictability, and the stability she’s been missing. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will blossom with love, structure, and activity, Luna Star may be the perfect match. Come meet this shining girl and help her find the steady, loving home she truly deserves.

Story
Current Location: Strasburg, VA Hello, my name is Dottie! I'm thought to be a Pointer mix, about 2 years old and currently weigh about 40 pounds. I'm a submissive gal with a sweet temperament and do very well with the people and dogs I've met. I love, love, love to snuggle and like nothing better than to sit next to my people and get lots of attention and hugs. I'm also house trained and walk well on the leash. I just weaned my litter of pups and will be spayed on 12/1. I'm heartworm positive and will receive treatment on 12/15 and can go home with my new family in time to celebrate the new year. I am microchipped, current on my vaccines and monthly preventives, and will be spayed and have received heartworm treatment prior to adoption. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable.

Story
Hi!  My name is Biscuit and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up by Animal Control and taken to a scary place called a shelter as a really tiny pup who contacted a small local rescue 'cause I needed to be bottle fed which the shelter could not do.  After I got older and started eating on my own, I then found myself in something called a "Dog Prison Program" where I got to meet different folks who helped me to start learning things to help make me become a good adult dog.  A volunteer with that program contacted BCAA to see if they could now help me find a home and they said yes!  I appear to be about a 12-14wo pointer mix and right now I weigh between 10-15lbs, so best guess is I'm going to be a medium sized dog when I'm grown, say about 35-45lbs.  I am a typical, sweet puppy and while I have started on the basics of good manners and walking on a leash, as a puppy I will need continued training and socialization as I grow.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org. Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
