Story
Meet an endearing male Pomeranian named Noah (weighing in at 8lbs) recently rescued from a commercial breeding facility, now seeking a loving home at National Mill Dog Rescue. This sweet and friendly pup is ready to share his warmth and companionship. Stay tuned for updates as we uncover more about his charming personality in the days ahead. If you're ready to make a positive impact on his journey, consider completing an adoption application on our website at nmdr.org. Your interest could be the key to opening a new chapter of love and happiness with this deserving canine companion.- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Learn about mill dogs and fill out an application at our website.

Story
Say hello to the oh-so-fabulous Pom Pom! She made her way to the Alliance from Texas with her puppy, hoping to find the loving family she longs for. She's a petite gal but has a bigger-than-life personality. Pom Pom has been soaking up some extra love in a foster home where she's made friends with her canine foster sibling. She's a little iffy about cat friends, so she would prefer a feline-free family. Pom Pom would make a wonderful lap dog for an introverted homebody but would also be a perfect purse pooch going along on adventures with her new human. She walks great on a leash, goes potty when taken out, and her adorable puppy eyes will convince you she needs more treats- or maybe a second dinner? She will let you know when she wants some extra love or attention with gentle paw pats until you shower her with cuddles and pets. If you're looking to add a new family member to your home, Pom Pom may be the pup for you!

Good with dogs,
Story
** If you are interested in adopting Fiona, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Fiona is the sweetest, friendliest little girl ever! She is 3 years old and 12 lbs. She is believed to be a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix. Fiona was a victim of circumstance through no fault of her own. She was found as a stray in Texas where the streets are crawling with homeless dogs. Fiona ended up in a small town shelter where no dog should ever be. Farfel's Texas rescue partner was very pleased to find that Fiona is very healthy, cuddly, playful, and loves other dogs. They made the collective decision that the greatest home they could imagine for Fiona would be in Colorado. Farfel's was contacted (we were thrilled!) and a transport ticket was issued for this wonderful girl. Fiona is just gorgeous! She has a stunning blonde coat that you just want to pet her and tell her how beautiful she is. Her coat could be much more soft and shiney with commitment to periodic baths/brushing and excellent nutrition. 5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are recommended for excellent general health and to keep her coat silky-soft and very healthy. Most of the time these rescue dogs have not had any training. Unfortunately we do not know Fiona's background, as she was found as a stray. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young girl whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. Fiona is up to date on her vaccines, heartworm tested (negative) and spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
All 1-year-old Archie wants is to have fun, fun, fun! Percolating with spirit and spunk, this sweet 13-pound pup thrives as much on activity as he does on affection and adores being in the company of his foster mom. While he’s not a fan of being patted, he loves resting his head on her, rolling over for belly rubs, burrowing under the covers and performing the cutest of ranger crawls. He also LOVES toys, especially his animals, balls and dog puzzles, chewing bones, playing fetch, jumping around in the snow, and going on two 30-minute walks a day, honing his leash skills along the way. Always friendly towards every person and other dog, large or small, that he meets, Archie, who has a high prey drive, would not fare well with cats, but he’s highly intelligent and is ever so eager to please and to learn. Motivated by food, toys and love, he likes all treats, accepting them gently, presently knows “come,” “sit,” “stay” and “no,” is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now, for Archie to thrive, he needs an especially active home with older children, preferably with another equally energetic doggy playmate, and patient adopters to put his energy to the best use possible, complete his training, including his commands, and promise to adore him fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location. Hi!
