Story
Ollie is the definition of a lap dog, loves to be on top of you. He is a sweet snuggle bug and gives lots of kisses. He helps his brother Ollie find his way on walks and in new places. Ollie and Sushi get along great and play with each other. He is good on walks and waits for Sushi to catch up. He sleeps great in his playpen. He has had a few accidents, but he will utilize the pee pad. He is beginning to get the hang of going out on walks. He prefers the elevator over the stairs. He gets scared of the door that opens to the staircase and has to be carried along with his brother.  ##2677149##

Story
Toast is the cutest thing since sliced bread! His head looks like a Pomeranian, his body looks like a Dachshund and Terrier mix, and from behind he looks like a Chihuahua. Toast loves sleeping on your feet and standing up against your leg begging for pets while he gazes into your soul. He’s quite friendly while also a little shy. Toast is very playful and can entertain himself with toys, sometimes even throwing them for himself to go get. He’s great with other dogs, even if he hasn’t fully figured out how to play with them yet. Toast’s little underbite is the best and if you look at him at the right angle, he has two little chiclet teeth that are always visible. We would recommend a home with no shared walls, as he likes the sound of his own voice. He’s about 1.5 years old and around 8 lbs. Toast is in foster in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/toast You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Please read all of the description.Yetti is a 12-year-old Pomeranian mix weighing just 10 pounds. This sweet little girl was surrendered to a shelter with painful open sores across the bridge of her nose. She was later diagnosed with pemphigus, vasculitis, or possibly a combination of both, which are autoimmune-related conditions. Because of this, Yetti may need to remain on cyclosporine medication for the rest of her life. Thankfully, her wounds have completely healed, although some of the hair on her snout may not grow back. Despite everything she has been through, Yetti remains incredibly loving, social, and happy. She absolutely adores people and thrives on attention and companionship. She is potty trained and, aside from her autoimmune condition, has no other medical concerns. Yetti is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. She also had a recent dental. We are hoping someone will open their heart and home to this deserving little girl and give her the wonderful life she deserves. She would be happiest as an only dog where she can soak up all the attention, but she does get along well with other dogs. Yetti would love a home where she can enjoy walks, cozy naps, and lots of love from someone who is home often to spoil her. This special senior girl is ready for her second chance. Her adoption fee is $200. Please apply to adopt Yetti at Misfits Dog Rescue www.misfitsdogrescue.org June 4, 2026, 2:13 pm

Story
Sabino is undergoing heartworm treatment and will need ongoing care and return trips to the NMDR clinic. Sabino is a 4-year-old, 26-pound husky who is very shy and timid around humans. She is still learning how to feel safe and comfortable in new environments and is just beginning to understand how to navigate walking on a leash or wearing harness gear. These are new skills for her, and she will need time, patience, and gentle encouragement as she continues to build confidence. She is sensitive and will need a calm, understanding adopter who is willing to move at her pace and slowly help her grow more secure in the world around her. Sabino is vocal and enjoys expressing herself, especially when playing with toys, which is one of her favorite activities. Sabino has had her left eye enucleated, but it does not slow her down or dampen her spirit—she continues to explore and engage with her environment in her own unique way. She seems to tolerate other dogs and can show initial excitement when meeting them. Due to her heartworm burden and overall sensitivity, she may do best in a calm household setting. She may also benefit from having another calm, well-socialized canine companion in the home to help provide confidence and social support as she adjusts to her new environment. Sabino needs a secure, fenced-in yard to help keep her safe while she is learning leash skills and building confidence outdoors. This will give her a safe space to explore at her own pace while continuing to develop her trust and comfort with handling and walking. A meet and greet at the shelter is required to ensure it is a good match for all involved. Sabino is looking for a patient, compassionate home where she can continue to learn, heal, and grow at her own pace. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Meet Roof, a 10-month-old Pomeranian/Husky mix weighing 24 pounds. Roof is still learning to trust people and can be shy when first meeting new faces, but with time, patience, and a gentle approach, his personality begins to shine through. He often looks to other dogs for reassurance and guidance as he continues building confidence in the world around him. Roof enjoys playing with toys and stuffed animals, and he finds comfort and fun in simple playtime activities. He is still learning how to navigate new experiences and will thrive in a home that understands his need for patience, consistency, and positive encouragement. For his safety and success, his future home must include another confident dog to help guide him and support his continued progress. A secure fenced yard is also required, giving him a safe space to explore, play, and build confidence at his own pace. He would also do best in a calm, patient home environment where he is given the time he needs to adjust and feel secure. We are currently working with Roof on handling exercises to help build his confidence, as well as leash skills to support his ongoing progress. A required in-person meet and greet is the best way to ensure a great match for both Roof and potential adopters. If you have the time, patience, and a steady canine companion to help him grow, we encourage you to come meet Roof and see if he’s the right fit. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet.
