She quietly stays nearby, observes, trusts slowly… and then one day, she melts into your arms and holds on tight. 🥹💞 Calm, gentle, and loving — the perfect companion for a peaceful home. 👨‍👩‍👧 With Adults & Kids 🧑 Adults: Takes time to warm up, but becomes affectionate and loyal once she trusts you 🧒 Kids: Calm and gentle, okay with being next to them or being touched ⚠️ If kids run or shout loudly, she chooses to observe from a distance 🐶 With Other Animals 🐕 Dogs: Excellent! — polite greetings and sometimes playful with her favorite friends 🐱 Cats: Good! — sniffs and ignores 🦜 Lives peacefully with a parrot in her foster home 🚽 House-training ✨ 100% reliable! ✔ Outdoor potty ✔ Indoor pee pads ✔ Balcony turf ➡️ Very easy and stress-free 🔋 Energy Level ⚡ Low ~ Medium 🏡 Quiet and peaceful at home 🐕 At the park, lightly plays with familiar friends or just jogs along with the group 🗣 Separation Anxiety / Barking / Aggression 💛 Separation anxiety: ❌ 🔔 Barking: ❌ (very minimal) 💥 Aggression: ❌ If scared, she may growl or bark once/twice to say “I’m uncomfortable” — never attacks. 🚶‍♀️ Walks & Car Rides 🌳 Loves walking 🪑 If you sit on a bench, she sits right beside you for comfort 🥹 🚗 Excellent in the car — even waits politely before getting in 🏃 Escape Tendency Because she can get startled, double safety (double leash + secure harness) is recommended. In familiar places, even if the leash slips, she stays close and doesn’t run far. ➡️ Once bonded, she wants to stay within her person’s sight ❤️ 🐾 Rescue Story Jisu lived one year at Gokseong Shelter with her sister Subin. On the day they were scheduled for euthanasia, both were rescued together. She was pregnant at the time and later gave birth to three puppies (she is 💗 Pony’s mom). Now, after everything she has survived… it’s finally her turn to be loved. 📍 Jisu is ready for her forever home. She doesn’t need much — just patience, kindness, and a safe heart to land in. 🤍 If you think she may be the missing piece of your family…♡

Story
Meet Hobart, a Pomeranian that was part of a rescue mission that saved 62 discarded puppy mill survivors. Given his tough start to life, Hobart spends most of his time decompressing and adjusting to a home environment. He enjoys quiet exploration with short bursts of social play with the resident dogs in his foster home. His ideal home will be one that can provide a predictable routine with patient, loving pawrents who can show him just how safe the right home can be. Hobart currently lives with five dogs (two large and three small) and two cats. He enjoys short, low-intensity play sessions with the small dogs and coexists peacefully with the larger dogs, whom he generally ignores. His interactions are brief and self-directed, and he benefits from being allowed to initiate contact at his own pace. He has also had positive interactions with the resident cats in his foster home. Hobart is most relaxed and secure when nested into soft blankets or on a heating pad. At this stage, providing quiet comfort and a sense of safety is more rewarding for him than traditional forms of play or enrichment. As his confidence grows, gentle exploration and low-pressure enrichment opportunities may become more meaningful to him. With the support of a loving family, Hobart will continue to show glimmers of adaptability and resilience that are truly rewarding to see. With the right environment and steady, compassionate care, Hobart has the potential to continue unfolding at his own pace. And what a special sight to see!

Story
Zuzu is a spirited puppy. She's a charming girl who arrived at our rescue as a breeder release from a commercial breeding facility. While she did not have the same start in life that puppies born in a family do, she is a little timid to start. However, with a little time to develop her trust she blossoms into a charming companion, Like all puppies, she will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all puppies—not only to give Zuzu important learning skills, but because you and your puppy will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Zuzu is fully vetted. She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption donation is $1200..00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Zuzu wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 9 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate for Zuzu, please fill out an application for her adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/adoption. The first step in the process is to complete an application. We are all volunteers with full-time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours. We are an in home foster group. We are not a brick and mortart. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at: RescueTailsAnimalWelfare@gmail.com. If you aren’t looking to adopt but still would like to help Zuzu , please consider a donation for her food, housing, and veterinary care.
