Story
Bear was surrendered when his owner was evicted with his chihuahua fur brother. He was quite frightened at first but has come out of his shell and doing well. He loves to walk on a leash and has finally gotten used to potty breaks off leash in the fenced yard. He has been completely vetted now. He did wear a belly band in the beginning until after he was neutered to stop marking. He is now on the lookout for stability and his very own forever home. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please email us for the link to the adoption application

Story
Meet Brady! He is recovering from the major change in his life. He had a family his whole life, and now he finds himself with Miri's, through no fault of his own. Brady has settled into his foster home like a total champ. He’s officially unbothered by his feline foster brother, gets along beautifully with other dogs, and has found his new rhythm. He adores going for walks and is also happy to spend time snuffling around in the yard. He enjoys one-on-one attention, gentle head scratches, and full-body massages (when approached slowly and thoughtfully). Brady is sensitive about his back and hind legs and does not like being picked up, although he has been improving on that in his foster home. He’s not very interested in toys or rough play with other dogs and prefers a calm environment over chaos. He seems ok with calm, quiet older kids but would probably prefer not to live with rowdy, noisy youngsters. He enjoys having a routine and plenty of peace and quiet for naps on soft beds. He likes hanging out near his person. If you’ve been out of sight too long, he’ll bravely venture upstairs just to keep you company, ears perked and mission-focused like a tiny guardian. Brady will politely but persistently announce when it’s time for breakfast, dinner, or a potty break, and he’s not shy about demanding attention once he decides it’s deserved. His commentary is a full-time feature. He has a heart murmur which does not currently require any medication but will need to be monitored. He is on prescription food for liver function. Brady will need someone calm, gentle, and willing to help him feel safe again. Could it be you? Brady is approximately 13 years old and 10 lbs. Fostered in Baltimore, MD Please apply at MirisHaven.org
