ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13002Hi! My name is Rarity and I’m part of the transport coming to OPH 9/22/23!I’m guessed to be a Pomeranian dog and estimated to be about 7 years young. I’m a sweet girl and I currently weigh about 10 lbs.I made my way up north in search of my new family. Is that with you? If so apply today! I won’t be available long! This pet is expected to arrive at an Operation Paws for Homes Foster Home soon. If you are interested in adoption, please submit your application so that you may be pre-approved prior to arrival. All pets must be granted a Health Certificate in order to cross state lines and come to the rescue. Obtaining the health certificate is largely dependent on veterinary resources at the originating animal shelter so some pets may not arrive as planned.

Story
NEW ARRIVAL! Meet Bear! What's the best thing about a Pomeranian??? They're always smiling!!! Don't let his age fool you - this boy is SPRY! Bear loves long walks & snuggle time on the sofa. He also likes to be brushed which is a bonus because not every Pom will cooperate with this necessity. He gets along great with the other (small) dogs in his foster home, as well as the cat. Bear would do best in a home with older children who understand how to treat a small dog. Even though he's a senior boy, Pomeranians, like other small dogs, often live to be 15-20 years old. This little guy still has a lot of love & life to give to some lucky adopter. You won't regret giving this boy a place in your home & heart!!! Bear is up to date on his vaccines, microchipped and neutered. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application

Story
IMPORTANT: We are looking for a very specific adopter for Alfie as this poor little girl is very scared and it is likely she had little human contact before she came to HART. She is new to us, and her foster mom is working hard to gain her trust. Alfie has so much potential and has made very good progress in a short period of time but still has a way to go. While Alfie is not ready to be adopted yet, we are posting her now so that we can start reviewing appropriate applications. We'd love to have Alfie's adopter already picked out for her so that she has a home when she is ready to be adopted. To be considered as a possible adopter for Alfie, you will need to have dog experience as an adult (bonus if you have worked with scared dogs before), already have a playful, outgoing dog that can show Alfie the ropes, have no kids in your home, and live in a quiet, calm home with a highly secure fenced yard. Please only apply if you have the experience, commitment, and living situation that Alfie needs to thrive in your home. We want what is best for Alfie and for you. Thank you for understanding. Thank you for your interest in Alfie! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=17158 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Alfie, or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

Story
Sophie Age : 5-7  years old Weight: 4 pounds Energy level:   Low Ideal home: Applicants for Sophie must  currently own a toy breed or have a history of owning one in the past. The reason is that toy breeds have special health and safety needs due to their small size. We are also requiring a fenced yard of any size. If there are other dogs in the home, we are asking that they weigh no more than 12 pounds.                        Sophie came to CHR very shut down and scared. Over the last two months, her personality has completely changed. She acts like she owns the house now! She has no fear of other dogs and happily sits on people’s laps for cuddles. She has a great appetite and enjoys the yummy meals her foster mom provides twice a day. This little girl is doing great with her house training, but she will need regular potty breaks in a securely fenced yard.   Sophie does great with other gentle small dogs. She does get a little barky when her foster mom leaves home, so she would do best in a detached house rather than an apartment or townhouse where her barking might annoy neighbors. She does settle down after 5-10 minutes, especially if she has another small dog to hang out with.   Sophie would do great with someone who likes to cuddle with her because she loves attention. She will also happily jump up on the sofa to relax and nap while you are working. When Sophie is happy, she races around the house like a firecracker. She has a spunky personality that makes her foster laugh every day.    September 18, 2023, 1:02 pm

Story
Just like the summer blockbuster, "Barbie", you're going to want to rush to get in on this action! These pups are cuter than their movie counterparts! The puppies are now about 10 weeks old and they'd like to be in a family as soon as possible! They are very calm and extremely quiet - but don't worry they still have that playful side! They love other dogs, they really love their toys and they are very social with people. If you think you can offer them a "Barbie's Dreamhouse" life, or maybe even "Barbie's Dream Camper" life, please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out our online application. The pups are in our jail program in TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized. Goofy Foot Dog Rescue Adoption Team www.goofyfootrescue.org
