Story
You have to know something special about our little Reba the Pomeranian/ Eskimo dog…Pomski….she has the best funny faces and gives the best kisses ever. This little small girl is only 22 pounds and 3 years old.   She has come to us as an owner surrender and horrible conditions that no dog should have had to live in. Her owner surrendered her and another dog and now they have escaped a sad life and ready to embrace a great life that Critter Cavalry Rescue has promised to find for her.  She is learning about a schedule to go outside and house manners.  She knew nothing at first.  When you see her pretty little face with those piercing blue eyes, you just want to hug her and take her home in your pocket.  She is a playful and active girl as most Pomskis are.  It is in their DNA.   Reba is great with other dogs and she will cuddle with you give you best dog friendship ever.  If you love a Husky but can’t deal with the larger size, then Reba is the ONE FOR YOU!  22 pounds is as big as she will get!   If you are interested and will be patient with continuing to train her, then email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Treat yourself to an early Christmas present!  Write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 6, 2023, 10:04 pm

Story
Petie is a sweet Orphaned Pomeranian mix boy that is about 12 years old or a little less and his momma of 11 years just died suddenly on 11/28. Petie weighs about 20 pounds and is mostly long luxurious thick fur that begs to be strokes and brushed.  This boy might be 11-12 years of age but you just cannot tell it.  He was the brightest spark to his face and his eyes dance as they radar lock on to any new surroundings or groups of people that he might be able to make friends with.  Petie is happy and healthy and on his way December 6th for a full dental, bloodwork, Update on shots and fecal and all the things that he will need to be ready for a new step in to home.  Don’t let his age deter you.  He might just be the dog that can outlive you, the human.  He plays well with other dogs, adores women and loves children.  He is good around cats even though he never lived with cats, he is fostered with some now.   He could benefit from a fenced yard but a dog park is fine and a robust and active new parent or couple would be ideal to show him off daily on nice neighborhood strolls.  We know that Petie will transition smoothly and we know that he will miss his momma who watches down from heaven on him now. We are getting Petie updated on shots, heartworm test, a dental and bloodwork to get him ready for a new home for the holidays. We promised the sister to his mom that Petie would be placed in a well checked out and stable home.  Could that be you who wins this prize boy named Petie? He is housebroken too. If interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 6, 2023, 10:04 pm

Story
This sweet little boy is a pure-bred Pomeranian. His family was unable to keep him because of a divorce and lacking the time to properly care for him. He is adorable and playful. He is paper trained and we will be working on housetraining him. Poochie gets along with the other little dogs in his foster home and is also good with the cats. This little doll loves his squeaky toys nad is very affectionate.  He will fall asleep next to you when he is 'played out'.  If you are looking for a small dog- he is the one for you. Fill out an application and bring it with you to a show, as we are pretty certain he will be very popular!Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org December 5, 2023, 5:35 pm

Story
As soft as a stuffed toy and just as cute. Ransom the Pomeranian is a very smart, affectionate little guy. Originally aged at 12 years old by the shelter where he was turned in as a stray, we agree with our vet team that he’s more likely about 8 years old. Ransom loves to play fetch with stuffed squeaky toys as much as he loves being cuddled. He’ll use his paw to pull your hand to his face to stroke him. We initially thought he needed to be an only pet but since he was neutered, he is doing much better. We have taken things very slowly with him and the other dogs here. When he first met the other dogs, he was territorial and showed resource guarding towards humans. We have worked with him and he has made great progress. He learns quickly and really wants to please. He knows sit, wait, watch, and come, walks nicely on the leash and is perfectly crate and house trained. Ransom needs a very special adopter. Please read our Senior Moments post to learn about him: https://www.flfosenioranimals.org/post/ransom-notes FLFO requires a home visit therefore adopters must be within 40 miles of Baldwin MD. Thank you for understanding.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Carrie is 3yo, weighs 14lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped.  Guardian states:  "Carrie is a sweet snuggler.  She loves to curl right next to her human and feel safe.  She loves her squeaky stuffed animals, especially ones you can play tug-of-war with." Carrie's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:   "We are experiencing family issues and the environment is not good for this dog. She has bitten under stressful conditions and I don't have the time/capacity to be able to work with a trainer with her right now. She's reactive and not a good fit for our family at this point. It's unfair for her to have to live like this." BITE INCIDENT:  On 10 November 2023, Carrie bit her human sibling; the bite didn't break the skin and animal control was not involved.  Carrie's guardian explains:  "No medical attention was required.  My daughter was moving near her too fast and Carrie bit her leg." Carrie's guardian states the following regarding children:  Carrie lives with a 12yo child, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children, unless they are calm, stating "She pulls toward them and barks; I don't trust her leashed".   Carrie's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Carrie hasn't lived with dogs, but her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "She barks, but eventually calms down and gets along with them.  Does have leash aggression".   Carrie's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Carries lives with a cat, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "She tries to chase the cat at all times". Carrie's guardian describes her as: Barks a lot Likes to be touched Protective Always by your side House-trained Likes women Likes men Separation anxiety   Carrie's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "A home with no cats.  Calm children, other dogs ok.  Ideally there would be someone home all day."
