Story
Isabella is a 6yo 8lb Pom mix. She is dog friendly. She’s house broken when kept on a schedule, pee pad and crate trained. She is very good with people once she confident she is safe. When she feels unsafe, she will bark obsessively to make you aware that she is not comfortable with her surroundings. She requires minimal amount of noise. She does not do well with over three dogs. Confusion and stress make her bark. Isabella’s foster requires a home that understands she is blind so it takes a little time to feel safe. She will sit right by your side and be completely content. She learns her surroundings quickly and maneuvers well as long as you don’t keep moving things around. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Isabella as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Isabella is blind, she was born with a micro eye defect, and has dry eye which requires eye drops two times daily. She also has arthritis in her hips and legs, which makes her walk a little funny but does very well under pain management. She is spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Meet Leo Fostered in Franklinville, NJ (with his brother, George!) Leo is a sweet, 13 week old Pomeranian mix breed pup (while we don't know what his mix is, we are sure he's totally adorable!). He weighs 12 lbs.  He is a playful little pup with a gentle heart and the cutest puppy eyes He’s full of happy energy, loves to explore, and then happily snuggles in when it’s time to relax. We expect him to grow to a medium size (around 20–25 lbs) He’s doing well with wee-wee pads, sleeps nicely at night, and is growing into a smart, loving little companion. Leo would adore a family to grow up with — one that will give him guidance, patience, and lots of cuddles. Up to date on age-appropriate vaccines & microchipped (neuter deposit required). Meet Pixie Fostered in Wenonah, NJ Pixie is an 8 lb, almost 4 month old Pomeranian mix (but we don't know what her mix is other than cutie!).  Her foster affectionately calls her Georgie, and with the sweetest heart. She’s a total cuddle bug who loves fetch, chew bones, and snuggling up on her favorite human’s lap. Loyal, sweet, and playful — she bonds deeply with her people. She’s doing great with crate training and sleeps through the night. She knows pottying outside earns treats but will need continued patience as she perfects her training. Pixie can be shy with strangers at first, but with time and love, she blossoms beautifully. She’d love a home with another friendly dog and does best with older or calm children. Hi, My name is Percy . I came from a hoarder that had over 80 dogs . I’m now in an awesome foster where I get to play with other dogs and cats and I love them all . I was a little timid but now I follow my foster mom all over and honestly always like to be right next to her . My favorite thing is to hang out on the couch or playing with the other pomeranian in the house . I’m not use to a leash so I would prefer a fenced in yard as it’s really helping me with potty training . I do have some accidents but My foster mom takes me outside a lot till I potty and I’m getting it. I’m around 5-6 years old and weigh around 9-10 lbs . My foster mom thinks I’m amazing and great with people but feels young kids may make me run away so maybe kids a little older that can go slow around me . Hi!  My name is Paddy and I am looking for a forever home. I was part of an operation to rescue over 80 small dogs in order to put a backyard breeder out of operation as we were not being very well taken care of.  One of those rescues reached out to BCAA to see if they could help some of us and they said yes ... yeah!  We were all pretty scared when we first came into foster but everyone has been so nice to us and with some TLC and time, we are slowly coming out of our shells.  I would love to find a  quiet home, maybe with a friend or two to help me learn the ropes.  I appear to be all pomeranian although I do not come with any paperwork so no guarantee!  I weigh 10lbs and at around 3years old, I shouldn't get any bigger.  I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and even shared a crate with one of my friends without any issues.  I have done well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any of our bedding.  I have never had a leash on before & they do scare me so I will need a physically fenced yard in order to take care of my business.  If you would like to meet me or one of my friends, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
