Meet Buttercup! Buttercup is a 2 year old Pomeranian mix who was saved from a hoarding situation along with her boyfriend and three puppies. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a family who understands of her past and gives her the time she needs to learn to trust new people. She is slowly learning we are only here to provide her love and care, and is doing wonderful in her progress at her foster home! As with all rescue dogs, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learn to live in a house and around people. They will need time to trust their new family before working on training, such as house training. We require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY. Buttercup will to do best in a home without young children as well (10+), that has another confident dog in the home. Tater Tot was allegedly hit by a car and unable to walk. After a few days at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates, with good care, pain meds and lots of love, he started to recover. Bit by bit, day by day, he got better. He had no injuries consistent with being hit by a car and an MRI did not indicate any breaks but did confirm some changes in a few of his discs. None of this slows him down a bit! He loves to run even if it looks a bit wobbly! Tater takes a while to warm up to new people but once he loves you, he loves you with his whole heart.
