Story
Animal Profile: Murphy is an estimated four year old, 10 pound Pomeranian boy who joined us from Stockton, CA, on January 22, 2025. Murpyh has a lot of potential to be a great family pet but he wasn't showing well in the shelter, where he is pretty scared and shut down. Shelter staff reports that he is nervous about handling but warms up on a leash out of the kennel, and comes around for affection with just a little patience. We can't wait to get him settled in here in Seattle! Foster Update: Meet Murphy – The Perfect Little Co-Pilot! Murphy the Pomeranian is a joy to have around. He recently joined me on a long drive to pick up my kid from college and was the perfect travel buddy—calm, cuddly, and totally adorable with his head out the window. He loves being held, is great with new people, and handles new environments like a champ. Murphy really shines when he’s getting attention and being close to his people. Murphy needs a home with no small children and no apartments. He’ll do best with someone who can give him lots of love and companionship. Ready to meet your new best friend? Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services in Modesto, CA.  She arrives in Seattle on 01/22/25 via START rescue transport and will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.May 12, 2025, 2:26 pm

My name is Coconut, and I'm an adorable 4-year-old female Pomeranian from South Korea, weighing in at a perfect 11 lbs. I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, where I lived in heartbreaking conditions. Thanks to dedicated local activists, I made it out—and now I’m looking for a home and start a brand new life full of love and cuddles! Despite my rough start, I'm friendly, sweet, and eager to be part of a family. I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs. I’d love to join you on walks in the park, or just snuggle up at home. I'm looking for a forever family who can give me all the affection and care I missed out on. Adoption Fee: $1,695 This includes my spay surgery, DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, heartworm test, microchip, boarding fees, health certificate, and my flight from Korea to Seattle. Note: A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own or purchase an AirTag from us. We highly recommend our trusted rescue dog trainer, who can visit your home and help with the transition. The adoption fee helps us save more dogs like me and support others who need medical care.
