Story
Cotton (Female) Relationship with human Cotton is very fond of people. Gets along children very well. May be shy towards strangers but doesn't push them away either. [Relationship with other dogs and a cats] She's not interested in other dogs and cats. Rather prefers playing with people. [Potty training] Both indoor and outdoor possible. [Walk] Loves going for walks. Enjoys her walk with concentration, and does not bark towards other dogs or cats, and doesn not mind them. [Allergy] None. [special note] Loves person so much that she follows around everywhere. Toys do not get her attention that much; that's how nuch she loves human. Due to the nature of pomegaly, Cotton has a 2nd grade patellar luxation, but according to the doctor, she wouldn't have problem without surgery and gets taken care of. [Recommended house for adoption] Hope it's a house with a lot of family members and a house where she can receive lots of love. A house where there are no others dogs where she can be loved all to herself would be a perfect match.

Story
Meet Tabasco, despite his name he isn’t spicey at all. This laid back guy is ready to steal your heart. He typically walks at a slower pace and prefers short distances, and may even ask you to pick him up, but this is because of a back issue that can occasionally affect his stability. However, it is managed with daily medication and he does just fine. Tabasco’s favorite thing is to relax and nap on the couch, when hes not snoozing he loves to play with his squeaky toys and tennis balls. Tabasco would do best in a home with low-energy furry friends. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion, Tabasco is your guy.

Story
Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Jojo from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 2 year old male Pomeranian- Spitz mix.  I weigh approximately 13 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,595 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application. Story
Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees. The call was put out for the need from a commercial breeder with health problems who needed her breeding dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of nowhere in South Dakota. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we cannot walk away & leave them there. The house was a run down shack where Johnny Rose & his other breeding friends were living was deplorable. They all stank so badly you wanted to vomit with the smell up to 2 weeks later. We believe it was the smell of the nastiest food coming out of their pores. Non of us could get rid of the smell off them until they had been on our food for roughly 14 days. They were matted, had very long curled nails & were dirty & some even had raging skin infections & raging UTI’s. Not to mention several were pregnant. But despite where they lived & were used to make money off their backs, they were still very sweet & friendly. But Johnny Rose, he was still so playful & so lovely & grateful to get the hell out of the shack he was caged in 24/7 living his life outside in the stinking heat day after day then in the freezing cold in winter time in the shack was over. His life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. On this day we rescued a total of 8 breeding poms & shi tzu mum & dads who all they knew was to breed in a life of hell & then being sold. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Johnny Rose how he is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home. Johnny Rose & his friends were bought back to the WA state where he is now is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Another sweetheart of a fun loving soul. The horror he endured on his little body & mind all to make money off his back is so disgusting. After everything he has been through he is still so fun & oh so spirited. He is beyond grateful to get out of that hell hole he was in & radiates gratitude. Johnny Rose’s foster mum said he is a cheeky little bugger, he wants her attention sometimes & can be demanding but he is so very spirited & loves his dog friends. He lets you pick him up & lets you give him kisses & hugs. The reality is, the foster homes are his real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. At first with his food in his foster home he wasn’t motivated, probably because he was so confused with his new life & was so used to eating the cheapest grade food. But once he got a taste of the homemade food, it was all over & he woofed it down. He is such a good boy & he gets comfortable & he is so easy & so sweet. He deserves the very best home. His foster mum said he taught himself to go up & down the stairs. Fun, fun fun is a great way to describe his personality. He is good with his baths & being dried by the hairdryer but wonders what is happening? He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. He is such a lovely little lad who just wants to be loved & to make up for his past. He would still need work walking on his harness & leash but since being with us he has learnt so quickly & enjoys going on walks but it’s all completely new to him considering he was never ever taught until coming into the rescue. He does not discriminate against breeds. He adores going outside & having a wander around & sitting in the backyard. He has always been with other dogs & adores other dogs & must have other dog friends in the home. Johnny Rose rides beautifully in the car & considering the only times we know of was when he went to auction to be sold & when we got him & going home with his foster family’s & back & forth to the vets & now on his adventures, he has done so amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. He spent his whole life confined for breeding. Johnny Rose as you can imagine spent such a long time in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Johnny Rose where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Johnny Rose is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. We have spent over $3000 on Johnny Rose. Johnny Rose has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in his foster homes & he is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs, so he must go to a home with other dogs present in the home. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory in a house. Parti is roughly 10 lbs & he is 3 years old. He has put on weight since being in his foster homes. He is a pomeranian, what he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he is neutered by laser by our wonderful vets. He is microchipped, he had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. He is up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Johnny Rose with paying for him from a commercial breeder in South Dakota. Bringing him to WA with his travel/flight costs, his transportation to WA. All of his medical care, in WA etc & bringing him to WA than his adoption fee comes close to covering. His adoption fee does not even cover half of what we have spent on Johnny Rose. Johnny Rose has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Johnny Rose was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Johnny Rose’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Johnny Rose potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Johnny Rose & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Johnny Rose who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Johnny Rose has an adoption fee of $1550 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
