While he can be a bit shy and standoffish when meeting new friends, it doesn't take long for his sweet, affectionate personality to shine through.   Personality & Highlights * Great with Pets: Gets along with both dogs and cats. (Behavior around children is currently unknown.) Meet Edward, a 6–7-year-old pug who likes his walks with a side of zoomies and his naps with a side of you. Edward has a jet-black coat, a dusting of white on his face, and a playful streak. He loves getting outside, walks nicely on leash, and has a blast zooming around with his foster dog friend. Once he comes inside, he’s ready to snuggle. If he can tuck himself against your leg and sneak in a few little kisses, he’s right where he wants to be. Edward is house-trained in his foster home and sleeps through the night in his crate. He marked a couple of times when he first arrived and has settled into his routine since then. He also likes to announce breakfast and dinner while his foster scoops the food. He takes mealtime enthusiasm seriously. Edward enjoys other dogs, and his foster thinks he’d be happiest with one compatible dog sibling or as the only dog in a home where he gets plenty of company. He sometimes tries to squeeze in when another dog is getting attention. He’s curious about the resident cat, so a slow introduction would be best in a home with cats. His experience with kids is unknown. Edward would thrive with someone familiar with pugs or other flat-faced breeds who can give him regular walks, a predictable routine, and plenty of time together. He’s had limited practice being home alone in foster care, so a family who can ease him into their schedule would be a great fit. Meet Rocky—the tiniest little shadow with a talent for making everyone fall in love. 💕 Rocky came to us as a stray, so we’re estimating he’s about 8 years old. At just 12 pounds, this little guy doesn’t take up much space, but he’s already claimed a whole lot of hearts. Everyone who meets him is immediately smitten. Rocky is learning how sweet life can be when you get to be someone’s beloved dog. He doesn’t seem used to being allowed on furniture, so he’s figuring out how to use the steps to the couch and discovering that he’s welcome to join his people. At bedtime, he’ll stand up to let you know he’d like an invitation for nighttime snuggles. How could you possibly say no to that? He’s a little shadow who likes to stay close. Rocky is kennel trained, but he’d much rather sleep near you. He’s also neutered, housetrained, and knows how to use a doggy door, though he does occasionally mark. Now, a little warning: Rocky is a catfish. 😂 His photos don’t really capture what he looks like in person, so you’ll need to meet him to fully appreciate this tiny heart-stealer. Consider his pictures a sneak peek with questionable accuracy. Rocky is ready for a family who will help him keep discovering the good stuff: a cozy couch, a spot near you at bedtime, and a home where he knows he belongs. 🐾
