Meet Lucy! 8 years old | Female | Professional Netflix Buddy Formerly known as Greta, this lovely lady is now Lucy, and after spending some time in foster, we’re getting to know what an absolute sweetheart she is. Lucy is about 8 years old and has mastered the art of being a homebody with just enough adventure mixed in. She’s calm, confident, well-mannered indoors and even knows some commands. She is potty trained and kennel trained and heads to the back door when she needs to go outside. Her ideal day? Breakfast, plenty of naps and following her people around the house to keep tabs on whatever everyone is doing. She enjoys affection and will happily approach you for pets and butt rubs, but she doesn't need to be glued to your lap. She's perfectly content just knowing you're nearby. Don't let 8 fool you, though. Lucy still has some pep in her step! She gets the occasional zoomies, has energy for adventures and can even do a little roughhousing when the mood strikes. On leash, she's an easygoing girl who doesn't pull and tends to simply follow along. At night, Lucy sleeps peacefully in her own bed next to her foster's bed and sleeps straight through. She's also been left home for about three hours and simply slept the entire time. Her foster says one of the best things about Lucy is when she gets excited, starts giving kisses and breaks out her crazy wiggle butt. Lucy would love a calmer household where she can enjoy her golden-girl era. She's looking for someone who wants a bestie for Netflix nights, naps and the occasional adventure. She's reported as good with other dogs, although her interactions are still being evaluated. She hasn't been around children or cats enough for us to confidently say how she'd do with them. She'll also appreciate a family willing to give her a little patience while she learns her way around a new environment. If your idea of the perfect companion is a sweet, mellow lady who wants to be part of the action without needing to be the center of it, Lucy might just be your girl.

Allow me to introduce myself... I'm Otis, an 11-year-old professional napper, part-time cheese inspector, and full-time lover of humans. Within seconds of meeting someone, I'm already handing out big sloppy kisses and leaning into them for pets. I don't believe in strangers—just friends who haven't paid the cheese tax yet. Speaking of cheese... I somehow discovered exactly which drawer in the refrigerator keeps the good stuff. Now, whenever it opens, I politely remind everyone that taxes are due. My preferred method of payment? Cheese. Obviously. I'm your classic senior pug. My ideal day includes a leisurely stroll around the backyard, a snack (or two), a nice long nap next to my favorite person, another snack, and then curling up beside you for the evening. If you're looking for a hiking partner... well... I'll happily cheer you on from the couch. I'm wonderful with other dogs, although I'm not exactly interested in wrestling or zoomies. What is "play," anyway? Sounds like an awful lot of effort. I'd much rather share a cozy bed or sunny patch of floor with another dog than chase them around the yard. I'm mostly potty trained and know to go outside, though I may mark in a brand-new environment at first, so a belly band during my transition can help me settle in. I'm also learning that kennels aren't the end of the world—but I'll probably let you know exactly how I feel about them with my signature pug howl. My foster thinks it's adorable... your neighbors might have opinions. My perfect home is quiet, relaxed, and full of people who appreciate the simple things in life: naps, cuddles, snacks, and unconditional love. Professional cuddler. Amateur mountain goat. Full-time best friend. If velcro dogs are your thing, Abby would like to submit her résumé. This adorable 2-year-old pug mix has one life goal: to be wherever you are. Making coffee? She's there. Folding laundry? She's supervising. Watching TV? She's already claimed her spot curled up next to you (or on top of you). Abby is as sweet as they come and loves the company of other dogs. She thrives with other pups and would love a forever home with a canine sibling to help her build confidence and keep her company. Cats? No problem. Chickens? She couldn't care less. She's just happy to be part of the family. She's still gaining confidence in this big world, so loud noises can make her a little nervous, but with love, patience and another friendly dog by her side, she continues to blossom. Once she trusts you, you've got a loyal little shadow for life. Abby is working hard on potty training and is already doing great on a leash. She's looking for a family that understands she's still learning and will cheer her on through the process. There is also an important medical update we want Abby's future family to understand. When Abby originally came to us, her finder reported a history of seizures. We did not initially observe any seizure activity while she was in our care. Following her spay, Abby experienced a seizure and later had additional seizures on separate days. Abby has since been evaluated and started on anti-seizure medication. She currently receives medication every eight hours and is doing well with her treatment plan. We are also working with her veterinary team toward transitioning her to a different medication that can be given every 12 hours. Her future family will need to be comfortable continuing her medication and veterinary follow-up. And now, a few additional disclosures from Abby's legal team: She believes personal space is a myth. She may insist on sitting in your lap regardless of what you're doing. She occasionally channels her inner mountain goat and thinks coffee tables are climbing gyms. If a door is open, she may decide it's adventure time, so her family will need to be mindful of exits. Abby would do best in a home where someone is around much of the time, she has a furry sibling to snuggle with, and cuddles are considered a daily requirement, not a bonus. Her seizures are something her family will need to manage, but they don't define her. Abby is still the same goofy, affectionate, people-loving little sidekick who wants nothing more than to be part of your world. If you're looking for a best friend who will love you with her whole heart, Abby is ready to make herself right at home, preferably in your lap.

Meet Buddy Buddy is a 3–4 year old boy looking for a family willing to give him a little time to show them just how sweet he can be. Buddy isn't necessarily going to walk into your house and immediately demand a spot in your lap. He's a little more reserved with his affection at first. He likes to be in the same room as his people, usually hanging out nearby where he can see you, and as he gets comfortable, he starts coming closer. One of his foster's favorite moments is when Buddy finally climbs onto her lap and accepts some pets and his favorite belly rubs. He's a medium-energy guy who enjoys walks and would probably love more outdoor adventures when Arizona decides to stop being Arizona. At home, he's perfectly happy eating, napping and hanging out with his people. Buddy already has quite a few of the important things figured out. He's potty trained, uses a doggy door, is crate trained, sleeps through the night in his crate and does well on leash. He's also been left alone for about three hours and did great. Buddy is good with kids and currently lives with four young children. Loud noises and sudden movements can make him nervous, so allowing him to approach new people at his own pace helps him feel comfortable. The biggest thing we're still learning about Buddy is his relationship with other dogs. He has done well with dogs overall, but in his current foster home he has been trying to dominate the male dogs and has gotten into some disagreements with them. His previous caretaker reported that he did not have this issue with female pugs. His foster is working with him and has already seen improvement, but based on what we know today, we would be cautious about placing him in a home with another male dog. Buddy isn't the dog who needs to be the center of attention. He's the handsome guy quietly watching you from across the room, getting a little closer each day until one day you realize he's decided you're his person. If you're looking for a good boy who already has the basics down and just needs some patience, stability and belly rubs to really come out of his shell, Buddy may be your guy.
