Our Rescue conducts adoptions by appointment only. We are currently closed to the public. We have many animals to care for daily, and are facing a shortage of volunteers. We will respond as soon as possible. A fluffy, tiny little dog gets adopted with no problem. But whenever you have a dog that's a little mutt, they seem to be very difficult to adopt. It's very sad because they have the best personalities and get along with an array of animals. For example, Kaplan has grown up in our cat room and gets along great with cats. He has been introduced to large and small breeds and wants nothing more than affection and to play with them. He has been around farm animals and has been raised in a loving environment. He's a goofball, super lovable, and wants nothing more than to be someone's best friend. If you have it in your heart to get past his breed of Chihuahua, Pug, and French Bulldog, then reach out to us so you can meet Kaplan and see how wonderful and loving he truly is. She was adopted from us as a young puppy, but unfortunately, for personal reasons, Barry had to be returned to our rescue. The family is devastated. They wrote a really nice bio about her. We would like to add that when she was with us, she was raised around cats, was always loved, and has always been a happy girl. She is spayed, current on all vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed. She is in a foster home in Ontario if you would like to meet her. From her mom: Barry is a one-year-old stunning Husky-Pug mix with striking blue eyes and sable fur. She gets attention everywhere she goes, and she loves it! She enjoys back scratches from anyone. She is friendly with people, small dogs, puppies, children, and cats. She is potty-trained and knows simple commands like 'come,' 'sit,' 'stay,' and 'leave it.' She walks very well with a front-clip harness. She has been well-socialized at daycare, and she loves the dog park! She goes to the dog park almost every day! She loves splashing in puddles and playing fetch when she's there.
