Story
Pippa is a friend to everyone she meets! She can moderate between zooming and couch potato depending on the vibe (and she's great at reading a room). She's loves fetch and tug-of-war, she'll even actively grab whatever toy she's most feeling to bring to people to toss or chew on. Pippa would thrive in a home where people are close by, or with another small dog companion. She has so far loved every person she's met, and done well with children aged 2-10 in short meet and greets. Pippa has been curious and playful at cats, but does well with redirection to respect their space. Pippa is food motivated and consistent with basic cues (sit, down, stay with duration and mild to moderate distractions, leave it, paw, touch, and recall) both in our home and on walks.

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, July 12th from 12-3pm unless adopted prior to the event. To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance.   Adoption fee: $750 Meet Papaya! The cutest little Chug (Chihuahua + Pug) you’ll ever lay eyes on— Papaya is 9-10 weeks old, a petite 5 lbs and already has the whole “adored by everyone” thing mastered. Rescued from a shelter where she was abandoned all alone, Papaya has blossomed in her foster home and is now ready to find her forever family!   Papaya is full of puppy energy, curiosity, and love. From the moment she arrived, she made herself right at home, charming everyone she met— humans, dogs, and even kids (she’s been great with children ages 6-8). She’s definitely a velcro pup who follows her foster mom from room to room, but she’s also happy to hang out with the whole family. Her favorite activities include cuddling on the couch, basking in the sun with her toys, and launching into play mode at a moment’s notice.   She’s currently working on her potty training— she has access to a backyard and is doing well with her business outside, though nighttime potty habits are still a work in progress (she's a baby, after all!). Like any teething tot, Papaya loves to chew her toys… and occasionally your toes!   Papaya hasn’t gone on leash walks yet but is curious about the world around her. She sometimes barks at loud noises, squirrels, or delivery trucks, but overall she’s just a happy, playful, and loving little girl who wants to be by your side.   Her ideal home would have lots of opportunities to explore, humans who will shower her with love (and cuddles!), and maybe even some kiddos or another friendly pup to keep her company. She’s already made her foster family fall completely in love— and her Roomba vs. Papaya debates are legendary!   If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining companion, Papaya is your girl. Apply to adopt her today and let the puppy adventures begin!July 13, 2025, 8:44 pm

Story
Hello there! My name is Pupper though my fosters sometimes call me Charlie. I’m a little pup who adores my humans. If you have treats with you, I’m even more excited to be your best buddy. I’m a well-behaved walker on leash, but I do have a strong personality around other male dogs if they get too close–I’m just a little territorial and don’t want other dogs near my owner. I’m the best buddy with female dogs, cats, and children, so don’t worry about me being part of your lovely family. My favorite activities include playing with my stuffed toys, going on short walks, and soaking with your affection you give me. I’m a smart, vocal, and affectionate pup who even enjoys howling from time to time. Pupper is up to date on all vaccines, chipped, and neutered. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group and/or private training to ensure a successful adoption. If you're interested in Pupper, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.
