Story
Meet Koda! Looking for Their Forever Home A couple of months ago, we were made aware of two dogs in urgent need of rehoming. At first, we were not sure we had the capacity to help—but after meeting them, it was clear they needed immediate care, safety, and a second chance. With the help of an incredibly compassionate foster mom and a generous donor, Snoopy and Koda received full veterinary care and have been learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a home. Now they’re ready for their forever family! Koda
Koda is an approximately 2-year-old female pug—and she is everything you love about pugs. She’s petite, playful, and incredibly sweet. She comes with:
A tiny tongue that peeks out when she sleeps
, the cutest little “vampire” underbite
, a squishy muffin head that’s impossible not to kiss She’s full of personality and love, and she will absolutely steal your heart. Their Personalities
: Both dogs are incredibly sweet and affectionate
, great with people and children, house-trained and adjusting well to home life
, learning how to play, relax, and just be dogs They share a strong bond and came from the same situation. However, we understand that may not be realistic, and we are open to applications for one or both. Both Snoopy and Koda are up to date on vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered/microchipped. We are committed to finding the absolute best homes for them. Adoption Requirements Completed application Personal and veterinary references Proof of home ownership or landlord approval (verbal & written) Meet & greet Home visit Interested in adopting? Please email: sdbpctrescue@gmail.com An application will be sent to you.

Story
Welcome Johnny to CCPAL Rescue. Johnny is a 10-week-old Pug mix puppy. He is a beautiful tan color with a black muzzle. He has an underbite and a shortened nose. He is a bigger-sized boy pup in the liter. He should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. He is a laid-back boy and was easy to take photos with. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Johnny is one of two boys in the litter. He was the last puppy to come out of his kennel as he was enjoying his nap. He was very workable and stood stil and sat willingly on the table for the photo shoot. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever homes. We would prefer pug people for these pups, as they know the breed best. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever homes soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Johnny is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1869 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Lola is the equivalent of a clown cars trunk, full of the fun stuff! Take cartoonish features, add four squeaky toys, a bouncy ball, at least one crinkle toy, and a pogo stick… and somehow turn it into a 20 lb dog. That is Lola! She is estimated to be around a year old and looks very much like a pug/boxer mix, though rescue rules absolutely apply and we cannot guarantee either. What we can guarantee is that Lola arrives preloaded with comedy, athleticism, and a level of enthusiasm that rivals a sugared up kid about to get on their first carnival ride. Go watch Lola on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this zoomie-powered party goblin. https://youtu.be/Lmiv_G04_1w Lola is wildly entertaining and genuinely a very happy dog. She loves fetch with her whole entire being, though we would currently rank her return skills at approximately 97% mastery because once she gets the toy, she can easily forget who threw it and occasionally what the next step is to get someone to throw it again. She absolutely thrives with playful dogs that enjoy chase games, wrestling, and rough-and-tumble antics. She is an absolute toy lover, easily self-entertains, and wakes up every day ready to turn life into recess. Lola would likely thrive with someone who genuinely enjoys training and wants an active sidekick to pour into. Think adventure buddy, hiking pal, training class enthusiast, enrichment queen, “let’s work your brain and body” kind of home. She is the kind of dog that will be incredibly rewarding in the right hands. She handles environmental stressors well, recovers quickly, and remains social and confident with people always. She is loving, goofy, resilient, and very game for whatever comes next. Lola’s dream home includes an equally playful dog who enjoys chase, shares toys, and enjoys the occasional playful wrestling match. This dream home will be cat-free and she would like to pass on apartment living, the girl wants room to run! More than one playmate is welcome as long as they are sturdy, playful dogs over 25 lbs that enjoy physical play, have good tolerance levels, and know how to take breaks. Because Lola is young and driven she will benefit from a structured home committed to helping her learn how to “dog-well.” She is learning how to settle in the home and will need encouragement to slow her busy brain down in exciting environments. The encouraging part is that she responds well to guidance and is very responsive to appropriate corrections. We love Lola! From her mini-boxer look to that pug-like tail, she is one-of-a-kind gal ready and waiting for her forever! Ready to make the first move? Story
Hey there — I'm Tucker GC, a tiny brown and tan Pug-Chihuahua mix with a whole lot of personality packed into my 2.2-pound frame! 🐶 At just 7 weeks old, I'm still learning about the world, and I'm ready to soak up all the love and playtime you can give me. I'm affectionate and friendly, with a playful spirit that'll keep you entertained — though I'm happy to snooze beside you when the adventure winds down. I was a bottle fed, c-section baby so I love my people family, and love to be held. My surgery is scheduled for July 13th and I will be available to go home with you after that. Come meet this little bundle of joy and watch me grow into your perfect companion! 💕 Texas adoption fee is $350. Out of State adoption fee with transport $650.

I am Kano the Puggy Wow Wow! I know, I know that is not how you spell Chihuahua, but I think that I am a Wow Wow Pug! Or rather a “Chug” is the official name of my breed. I am only a little over 4 months old, and 10 pounds so based on those calculations, I should be under 25# when fully grown. Unless you feed me too much, that would be ok with me as I LOVE to eat!! I like to think of myself as a gourmet! I used to have some issues with my breathing and snorting but I recently had a “nose Job” and now my breathing is so great, and my energy is so much that I can now do zoomies around the yard! They also did some snip-snip in the nether regions so I can’t be a daddy puppy anymore but that is ok. If I can breathe better, it is a great trade off! I love kids, dogs, cats, people in general, and am learning to walk on a leash and be a proper little Chug. I am very smart and learn quickly. I taught myself the doggie door within a day of arriving at my foster home and am almost completely housetrained because I let myself in and out when I need to go. If you are looking for a sweet, energetic companion to go with you on walks or snuggle on the sofa at home, here I am! Adoption fee in Texas is $350. Out of State adoption fee with Transport is $650.

Story
Jet Jetson is about 5 months old and ready for a home to call his very own! This little fellow's mom is a pure bred Pug, but we aren't really sure who daddy might be. Whit his squatty body, we are guessing it's some sort of chunky terrier something. Whatever he is, he is 100% adorable and a funny little fellow. He'll be a wonderful addition to any loving home. If you're looking for a chunky snuggly buddy, apply for Jet today at www.cprdogs.com. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
*Nena's Adoption Fee has been sponsored by our friends at Another Shot Coffee Roasters!* Meet our goofy American Bully girl named Nena! Nena is about 1.5 years old, and she was surrendered to our shelter after her owner could no longer care for her. She is a very playful and outgoing girl once she gets to know someone. Nena can be a little standoffish at first, but give her a few tasty treats and she warms right up. Nena has a very short and stocky body type with a squishy, Bulldog like face. This causes her to honk and snort when she runs and plays. She will likely be sensitive to the very hot heat once the summer comes. Nena is a lover, and destroyer, of all fun squeaky toys. She is motivated by both food and toys, and will sit politely for both. She has little legs, but she can move fast and has no problem jumping up on couches. She also loves a good butt scratch and a couch cuddle session. Nena is not aggressive towards other dogs in general, but due to her extra love of toys, we think it would be best for her to go to a home where she can be the only dog to avoid confrontations over those. She gets a little too worked up around active kitties for us to feel comfortable placing her in a home with cats. Nena can go to a home with children 12 years and older who have experience with dogs. We would prefer Nena to go to a home that has experience with Bullies/Bulldogs. No first time dog owners please! Once we find an adopter to commit to taking Nena home, we will have her cherry eye surgically fixed and have her spayed. There will not be an additional fee for this. If you are interested in adopting Nena Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee has been sponsored! PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org
