Story
Jet Jetson is about 5 months old and ready for a home to call his very own! This little fellow's mom is a pure bred Pug, but we aren't really sure who daddy might be. Whit his squatty body, we are guessing it's some sort of chunky terrier something. Whatever he is, he is 100% adorable and a funny little fellow. He'll be a wonderful addition to any loving home. If you're looking for a chunky snuggly buddy, apply for Jet today at www.cprdogs.com. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Derp was removed from a neglectful situation with several other dogs. They all had horrible demodectic mange and took quite some time to get cleared up. Derp still has some thin spots but I believe at this point he's reached his hair growth potential. This guy has the absolute best and most hilarious personality. He will have you cracking up constantly!

Story
Welcome Johnny to CCPAL Rescue. Johnny is a 10-week-old Pug mix puppy. He is a beautiful tan color with a black muzzle. He has an underbite and a shortened nose. He is a bigger-sized boy pup in the liter. He should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. He is a laid-back boy and was easy to take photos with. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Johnny is one of two boys in the litter. He was the last puppy to come out of his kennel as he was enjoying his nap. He was very workable and stood stil and sat willingly on the table for the photo shoot. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever homes. We would prefer pug people for these pups, as they know the breed best. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever homes soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Johnny is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1869 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See his cute video!!

Story
Lola is the equivalent of a clown cars trunk, full of the fun stuff! Take cartoonish features, add four squeaky toys, a bouncy ball, at least one crinkle toy, and a pogo stick… and somehow turn it into a 20 lb dog. That is Lola! She is estimated to be around a year old and looks very much like a pug/boxer mix, though rescue rules absolutely apply and we cannot guarantee either. What we can guarantee is that Lola arrives preloaded with comedy, athleticism, and a level of enthusiasm that rivals a sugared up kid about to get on their first carnival ride. Go watch Lola on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this zoomie-powered party goblin. https://youtu.be/Lmiv_G04_1w Lola is wildly entertaining and genuinely a very happy dog. She loves fetch with her whole entire being, though we would currently rank her return skills at approximately 97% mastery because once she gets the toy, she can easily forget who threw it and occasionally what the next step is to get someone to throw it again. She absolutely thrives with playful dogs that enjoy chase games, wrestling, and rough-and-tumble antics. She is an absolute toy lover, easily self-entertains, and wakes up every day ready to turn life into recess. Lola would likely thrive with someone who genuinely enjoys training and wants an active sidekick to pour into. Think adventure buddy, hiking pal, training class enthusiast, enrichment queen, “let’s work your brain and body” kind of home. She is the kind of dog that will be incredibly rewarding in the right hands. She handles environmental stressors well, recovers quickly, and remains social and confident with people always. She is loving, goofy, resilient, and very game for whatever comes next. Lola’s dream home includes an equally playful dog who enjoys chase, shares toys, and enjoys the occasional playful wrestling match. This dream home will be cat-free and she would like to pass on apartment living, the girl wants room to run! More than one playmate is welcome as long as they are sturdy, playful dogs over 25 lbs that enjoy physical play, have good tolerance levels, and know how to take breaks. Because Lola is young and driven she will benefit from a structured home committed to helping her learn how to “dog-well.” She is learning how to settle in the home and will need encouragement to slow her busy brain down in exciting environments. The encouraging part is that she responds well to guidance and is very responsive to appropriate corrections. We love Lola! From her mini-boxer look to that pug-like tail, she is one-of-a-kind gal ready and waiting for her forever! Ready to make the first move? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gus – Your New Best Friend!  Gus is a lovable Pug mix with a heart as sweet as they come. Through no fault of his own, he found himself owner surrendered to a shelter, but he's ready to leave that chapter behind and find the forever family he deserves. This gentle boy loves being close to his people and enjoys simply sharing your company. Gus is happiest when he's nearby. He's also fantastic with other dogs. Since arriving at the rescue, Gus has shown very little anxiety and has settled in nicely. Like many dogs, he'll benefit from a patient family who will give him a little time to adjust to his new surroundings.  We were told when being owner surrendered, the Gus is potty trained and does know how to use a bell to alert when needing to use the bathroom.  Gus is neutered, 4DX negative, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto.  His adoption fee is $400. To apply to adopt Gus, visit www.adoggie4you.org. Gus is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 22, 2026, 3:12 pm

Story
This is "Goldie". Goldie is about 90% an English Bulldog and the rest maybe American Bully. She has all the characters of an English Bulldog. Goldie is about 5 years and10 months old and weighs about 46 pounds. Goldie comes to us with a sad story. Goldie and 2 other dogs (not related) were left behind in an apartment because their owners had no means to take care of them any longer. Someone did take the dogs from the apartment but had no place of his own to go with them. So he was desperate to find a place for these dogs. This is where we came in. We took Goldie. The other 2 dogs were taken by another rescue. All 3 dogs were not starving and they were in good health. Goldie was a little confused at first, understandably so. She is doing much better. Goldie is a sweet dog and she even looks sweet! She is calm, she sits when told and she gives her paw when asked. Goldie is a very good dog. In fact, Goldie is a great dog! Goldie gets along with other dogs and it looks like she gets along with cats. In Goldie's new home, children must be 14 years old or older. You MUST own your own home. You MUST own your own condo. Absolutely no apartments. Goldie came to us already spayed. She went to our veterinarian and she got her shots and tested negative for heartworm. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Goldie is $100.00 if you are the perfect family with an excellent veterinarian reference. No credit cards. If you are interested in Goldie, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. You can meet Goldie on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. Goldie will be looking for you! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS !

Story
Meet Frankie! 🐾 Frankie is a 5-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart who is looking for a family to call his own. This handsome "mega mutt" has all the qualities that make a wonderful companion and family dog. Frankie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, house trained, and crate trained. He has successfully lived with children, dogs, and cats and is known for his sweet, friendly personality. He enjoys being around his people and is happiest when he is included in everyday family life. Frankie's current family loves him dearly and has made the difficult decision to seek a new home for him due to changing family circumstances, including the demands of a growing family and multiple pets. This decision comes from a place of love and a desire to ensure Frankie receives the time, attention, and environment he deserves. Frankie is a well-mannered boy who has adapted beautifully to life in a home. He enjoys companionship, settles nicely indoors, and is already familiar with the routines that help dogs succeed in family environments. Like many dogs, he can become nervous during thunderstorms and fireworks and appreciates a safe, comforting place to relax when loud noises occur. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is already past the puppy stage and ready to become part of the family, Frankie may be the perfect match. He has so much love to give and is ready to start his next chapter with a family who will cherish him. Could Frankie be the missing piece your family has been looking for? If you are interested in learning more about Frankie, please contact SDBP CT Rescue. We would love to introduce you to this special boy.

Story
🌙💙Meet Teddy Oliver Moon (a.k.a. Ollie)!🌙💙 Teddy is a 90-pound bundle of love with the biggest head and the biggest heart you’ll ever meet. This gorgeous tricolor boy is playful, goofy, and so excited to show you just how happy he is, especially when toys are involved! His foster family loves him so much that everyone wanted to name him, so now he proudly goes by Teddy Oliver "Ollie" Moon because one name just isn’t enough for a dog this special. Teddy’s story hasn’t been easy. He was found tied up with another dog and sadly ended up on the euthanasia list at the shelter. His smaller companion was rescued first, and Teddy nearly lost his chance but thankfully, he’s now safe in a wonderful foster home where his true personality is shining through. Teddy is housebroken, crate-trained, good on walks, and great with other dogs. He’s friendly, affectionate, and always ready for fun. Because he’s a big, bouncy boy who can be a little jumpy when excited, we’re looking for an experienced home with older kids (just due to his size). We’ve seen no signs of aggression just lots of joy, energy, and love. This sweet, special boy deserves the forever family who will give him the second chance he almost didn’t get. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, goofy best friend who will fill your home with love and laughter, Teddy Oliver "Ollie" Moon! is your guy. 🐾 Reach out to learn more!
