You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bandit, a handsome young pug with an adventurous streak and a heart full of love! Born around May 14, 2024, this sweet 18.4-pound boy was found exploring a local subdivision, charming multiple neighbors along the way. While everyone wanted to help the little runaway, Bandit proved himself to be quite the escape artist, cleverly digging out of various yards in his determined quest to find the action! Bandit is a true social butterfly. His main goal in life is to be right where the people are. When he gets loose, he doesn't run away; he rushes towards companionship! He is looking for a secure yard and a family who will give him plenty of attention and keep him close by, satisfying his deep desire to be part of the pack. Bandit has been fully vetted and is now receiving treatment for anaplasmosis, a common tick-borne disease discovered during his initial exam. He is doing great and just needs to complete his 30-day course of medication. He's on the mend and ready for his fresh start. This resilient, people-loving pug is eager to trade his days of solo adventures for a lifetime of cozy cuddles and family fun. If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly companion who promises to keep you entertained and loved, Bandit is eagerly waiting to steal your heart! You can apply for Bandit at www.adoggie4you.org.  His adoption fee is $350.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Now Fostered in Bothell WA!! If happiness had a mascot, I’m pretty sure it would at the least resemble Koi. This boy is the definition of a peoples-dog, spreading wiggly affectionate and an enthusiasm for love everywhere he goes. To him, it is absolutely a thrill to be loved! The moment you start petting him, you can see him light up like it’s the best day of his life- tail wagging, body wiggling, whole-face smile.. Standing still for love is just not his style! Take a look at him in action- it's worth it- then come back to read more - https://youtu.be/_-aMxaMQHH4 Koi is estimated to be 1.5-year-old, he weighs 33-lbs and we suspect he is a pug mix but we cannot guarantee breed or birthday considering he is a rescue. Koi enjoys adventure and is an eager explorer who has basic leash skills and will polish to perfection with practice and the occasional gentle correction. He checks in often and is happy to deliver on your expectation. Dog-wise, Koi is a social and playful guy. No surprise right, you can just see it in him. We spent the afternoon introducing him to new dogs and watching him play and he was polite during on leash introduction, with a little excitement sneaking in here and there but it was all in a friendly nature. He loves a good playmate with matching energy- think medium-energy, fun-loving dogs who enjoy a mix of zooming around playing chase followed by extended chill-time. Koi’s ideal home will give him an outlet for his energy- walks, playdates, or backyard fun- and people who don’t mind his occasional joyful jumps or sneaky smooches (aka-face licks.) He’s a small package with a big-dog heart and a contagious joy for life. The perfect dog if you love hosting and have a dog-loving bunch of friends and family. He is friendly, outgoing, and greets new people with open paws and a full-body wiggle, so much so that people may want to come over just to hang out with him. He does jump up gently to give hugs so a family with slightly older kids who can handle his excitement would be perfect. This boy is going to be the sweetest sidekick and promises to help keep life fun. If the words compact bundle of sunshine or wiggly joy are on your list of must-have qualities for your dog, look no further Koi is your boy and his tail is already wagging for you! Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.PUDDIN' and her mother PEACHES are 2 pugs that were dumped early one morning at a local car dealership.  Luckily there were some employees who are dog lovers and took them in for a little while until I was able to pick them up. As usually we look for the flaws in a dog if it was intentionally dumped but very few times do we find any.  That certainly is the case with PUDDIN' & PEACHES, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.  Each of them is very happy, PEACHES is the more social butterful and PUDDIN' is more reserved.  They love each other and love to be with each other although they do play and interact with the other foster dogs in the home. PUDDIN' is 9 months old and 14 pounds.  PEACHES is 3 years old and 13 pounds.  They both like to cuddle and get head rubs but PUDDIN' lays on her back to get a belly rub.  PUDDIN' is also the one with the slight underbite that makes her look just that more special. PEACHES & PUDDIN' do not need to be adopted together but they would be very happy dogs to have another dog in the home to play and cuddle with. They already walk well on a leash and ride in the car without getting sick.  And on the plus side they are not yeppers, no barking or whining, just running around playing and kind of submissive.  I would love for them to be adopted together but to separate them there would have to be another playful dog already in the home that is interested in one of them.  Neither of them would do well as an only dog. Their activity level is normal, nothing hyper but they do love to run around the backyard playing with each other and toys. If you are interested in adopting PEACHES and/or PUDDIN', please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you for your interest. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         August 21, 2025, 10:07 am

Introducing Reed! This adorable pug mix is enjoying life with his foster family in Rhode Island but is so ready to meet his forever family. Unfortunately, Reed cannot be adopted to Massachusetts. His foster Mom says he is so sweet and a great puppy! He sleeps through the night in his crate and loves a good snuggle in bed with his people in the morning! Reed has mastered using puppy pads and is working on housetraining, but baby it is cold outside for this pup! He has met big dogs, little dogs, and kids. Reed is cat friendly too! He does great with everyone and will make a great addition to a lucky family! If you are looking for a 2nd or 3rd dog to add to your pack Reed would fit right in. Reed is a great car passenger, relaxing in his crate during the ride. He loves to snuggle with other dogs and nap. Reed now has a girlfriend pup named Lola. She is a little bossy and Reed accepts correction from her well. He would love to be your work out buddy or office assistant; he just loves to be with his people. Check out his new coat. Reed is the most adorable model and he ready for whatever the weather decides to dish out! Watching the blizzard from inside was fun for this youngster, deep snow is no place for this little guy. He has the cutest little underbite and loves to show it off. Reed is a wonderful, fun pup who is excited to be in his new home in early 2026! Reed has been growing into a healthy, vibrant pup, eager to start the next chapter of his life with a family who can provide him with love, care, and plenty of playtime. He is always ready to cuddle when picked up and, when showered with affection, he will happily snuggle in your arms and drift off into a peaceful slumber. The ideal home for Reed would be one with a family committed to the ongoing training and development of a puppy. He might be a small guy, but he has a big heart, and he is not afraid to use his puppy eyes to get his way! Reed is heartworm negative, 6 months old, and up to date on his vaccinations. Apply for him with a free application @ www.americanlabrescue.com. Reed is looking forward to learning about what it means to be a part of a family, and he is hoping that family is yours! Story
This Fiona is not locked in the highest room of the tallest tower, nor does she have a dragon to keep away hopeful rescuers. She DOES have a massive love of butt scratches, a cute underbite, and a habit of making happy little grunts while interacting with humans.OTHER PETS: Fiona is comfortable and relaxed greeting other dogs and then either continues interacting in the same way or becomes disinterested and goes off to do her own thing. Fiona would likely get along with most social dogs, and should meet any dog she would be living with prior to adoption.[Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] Experience with positive reinforcement or willingness to learn. KIDS: Fiona is comfortable with most handling and has not exhibited resource-guarding while at TJO; she does nudge with her muzzle to get attention and is a mouth breather while playing so she may not be a good fit for very small humans or humans with very thin skin. Fiona would not be phased by the loudness of an active household as she is presenting as deaf but care should be taken to ensure she is not startled awake from sleep. [7+ (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Fiona enjoys a good nap, no matter what time of day it is or how recently she woke from her last nap. She does enjoy exploring outside, still gets playful, and has the zoomies occasionally - just with more napping in between. Fiona would not be opposed to walks, but careful attention should be paid so ensure she does not over exert herself. Moderate regular exercise combined with mental enrichment will help meet her needs. [Couch Potato] VETERINARY CARE: Fiona is an aging dog with a mammary mass who will need a good relationship with a vet to ensure that she gets the medical care she needs to enjoy her golden years. She is also currently looking to lose a few pounds, and has some allergy-related ear inflammation that should be able to be resolved with her prescribed medications. [Above Average] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Fiona bond with her new owner while learning new skills and maybe some fun tricks, as well as building confidence. [Minimal] GROOMING: [Minimal]February 5, 2026, 10:56 am

Story
Looking for a little dog with a whole lot of heart? Meet Ian! Ian is a 1.5-year-old black and white sweetheart who proves every day that a rough start does not define your future. This pint-sized boy previously suffered a hip injury, which has healed beautifully, and his happy, playful spirit never missed a beat. Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of contagious joy. He loves attention, enjoys romping around with his toys, and is always ready for a cuddle when playtime winds down. He does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a home with canine friends. Ian also loves his food and is happily not picky. He eats from a slow-feeder bowl to help him enjoy his meals at a healthy pace and aid digestion. Medical Transparency (the important but reassuring part): Ian has Diabetes Insipidus, which is not the same as diabetes mellitus. This condition affects how his body concentrates urine and has nothing to do with blood sugar. • Oral medication only — no shots or injections • Takes medication twice daily to maintain healthy urine concentration and support full bladder emptying • Medication may be lifelong or temporary, depending on future veterinary guidance • Medication cost can vary depending on the veterinarian or pharmacy • Needs frequent potty breaks Ian does wonderfully on his routine and is otherwise a happy, active, affectionate young dog. He is looking for a loving home that will appreciate his joyful personality and continue his simple daily care so he can thrive for years to come. Are you ready to give this resilient, playful boy the forever home he deserves? Basic Info: Male, 1 yr old, Boston Terrier/Chihuahua, Coat: Black and White, neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and preventions, preventatives. Local adoption fee (Texas) - $200 Out of state adoption (includes transport to your area) ‐ $450

Story
Ever met a living, snorting, walking cartoon? That’s West Lee. He’s a professional back-talker, four legged tornado of joy, chaos, and pure Wreck-It Ralph energy. Absolutely no concept of personal space or consequences, built like a tonka truck, and he’s all about that mouthy, goofy, relentless affection. Basically, West Lee is a 60 lb toddler full of personality stuffed into a wrinkle suit. If you’re a bulldog lover, then you definitely know the type. If anything of this intrigues you, keep reading and watch his video below. You’ll either be insanely entertained or better yet, you’ll be wanting to bring this adorable menace home: https://youtu.be/NhKfqZn0o08?si=Bcr7wm3lZ8SCapUj Mr. West Lee is estimated to be around two-years-old and is a bulldog mix weighing in at 60 lbs. With rescues we cannot guarantee age or breed given we do not know their past. This guy has the looks of a bulldog and he certainly has the personality to go along with it. West Lee is a classic bulldog through and through- built like a solid brick, handsome as all-get-out, a little stubborn because he can be, and considers himself to be a “foodie.” He can smell food from a mile away too. How he does that with all those wrinkles, we have no idea but he does. He’s a mild-mannered sweetheart until a crinkle bag announces the hunger games. West Lee would probably even sell me for a chicken nugget and not feel bad about it if he could. So safe to say that once food is involved, all loyalty is up for negotiation. West Lee is a bowling ball powered by Wreck-it-Ralph energy and has a sour patch kid personality. First he’s chaos, then he cuddles. Fair warning though, most cuddles with West Lee do end up with you covered in slobber, hair, and him very heavily breathing on you with his hot breath LOL. You gotta be someone that likes that type of affection. He stomps, snorts, and accidentally (debatable) redecorates your living room, so best of luck to your pillows. Consider him equal parts demolition crew and sugar-coated sweet heart. He is not for the faint of heart or the faint of food hoarder LOL. He will get those snackies. He is somewhat energetic for a bulldog mix but it makes for a good balance of goofy-boy with couch-potato tendencies. True to his bulldog nature, he’s better suited for short walks or backyard playtime rather than long-distance strolls anyway. A securely fenced yard would be ideal since he’s a curious explorer who likes to keep tabs on what’s happening outside. Are you someone that works from home? He’ll be great but hopefully you have extra paper copies of anything important, have toys out for him to play with, and aren’t going to be bothered by his hot heavy breathing. Sweet boy just can’t help it but be noisey. Even with toys, he loves the squeaky toys and likes to conduct his very own squeak symphony with all his favorite toys. It’s quite comical. West Lee is ready and waiting to find his perfect match: a family or person who appreciates his bulldog quirks and gives him the structure and security to thrive. In return for that (and a few treats) you will get a loyal, strikingly handsome companion who will keep life entertaining and people asking “Where did you get him? He is gorgeous!” Ready to add this speckle-nosed charmer to your life? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/689a60c240bf23fc020254ff Questions?
