Story
This fun boy was part of a forced surrender group but he shows no mean signs of his neglect. He is friendly and a lot of fun. He loves to play!! Definite terrier energy and a great boy to hang around with. He loves people and other dogs, although his barking to get others to play with him does tend to have the opposite effect. He is not mean and does well sharing. He likes any sort of toy but does have a short attention span with them. He would do well with any type of household but will need the basic training of being inside, we don’t think he was inside at all. He does spill his food out and will chew any bed given to him, it will take some time for him to get used to any of that. A house with kids that like to run and play would work great with him or any active family that can wear him out. He is a love and is waiting to share it all with a new family to call his own. We also use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Gabriel - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I am with another rescue that is having a family emergency. If interested in adopting me, Hay Dude Rescue will pull me into their rescue to complete my adoption. My name is Gabriel and if you're in search of a handsome lil fella, well, shoot...look no further. I am right around 6 months old and very sweet and playful. That typical puppy that just loves living life. Exploring this big ole world and playing are 2 of my favoritest things with snuggles and eating coming in a close 2nd. I will need to have continued house training. I'm almost there but still need a little more training. I'm a pretty smart lil cookie (it must be so cuz my foster mom tells all the time) and should have the hang of it in no time at all. I come in at around 14lb and shouldn't get a whole lot bigger at my adult weight. But don't you worry none, I'll be the perfect size for giving you all my love and cuddles. And it's also the perfect size for, yep...everything! From neighborhood strolls to some nature trails!! My short coat is going to easy peasy in the grooming department and that means lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. Oh my, what could be better?!! Are you in search of a family addition that will be there by your side, a constant in your life thru all your daily going on's? A BFF to share your joys and sorrows? WAIT, stop scrolling, I am that fella!!!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Introducing Nemo, the handsome male black pug with a heart as big as his affectionate personality! Born around March 27, 2021, Nemo embarked on life's adventures alongside his dear companion, Dory, a lovely female pug. Their journey together took an unexpected turn when they were owner-surrendered due to their previous owner's health concerns. Nemo is the epitome of charm and friendliness. He adores people and has a knack for making everyone he meets feel special. His favorite spot is nestled in your lap, where he can shower you with love and soak up all the attention in return.  He like to take walks, but he gets excited and tends to pull on the leash.  This dashing pug weighs approximately 25.0 pounds, a testament to his hearty appetite for life. While he may have faced a health challenge with a heartworm-positive diagnosis, Nemo is undergoing treatment with ProHeart 12 and a 30-day course of Doxycycline to ensure his well-being. Rest assured, he's in good hands and will be retested in six months to monitor his progress. Nemo's adoption fee of $500 includes his ProHeart heartworm treatment, a small investment in exchange for the boundless love and joy he'll bring to his forever family. While he gets along famously with his sister Dory and most female dogs, Nemo's a bit selective with his male companions, preferring to charm the ladies. He plays well with most males, but occasionally, he may exhibit some alpha tendencies. If you're searching for a devoted companion who will steal your heart with his irresistible charm and unwavering loyalty, Nemo is the perfect match for you. Don't miss the chance to welcome this lovable pug into your life!  You can apply for Nemo at www.adoggie4you.org    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 2, 2024, 10:02 pm

Story
Names: Barbie Age: 3 years Sex: Female Breed: Pug Weight: 14 lbs Before OMD: A Doberman and two Pugs walked into (after animal control picked them up roaming) the city shelter..... The Doberman found rescue and we took in Barbie and her male Pug friend. At her intake vet exam, we got the surprising news that Barbie was expecting and a few weeks after she delivered one chunky, healthy Pug pup. Her puppy, Tug, has been adopted and it's now Barbie's turn to find her forever home. Energy Level: Higher, but she’ll match you. She’ll go, go, go right alongside you but as soon as you crash on the couch, she’ll be on your lap snoozing. Key descriptors: Diva. Cuddly. Snuggly. Affectionate. What makes us laugh: Her bursts of energy resulting in spectacular zoomies. She’s a snorer; when you catch her and laugh, she’ll open one eye to know she doesn’t appreciate being mocked. What we love: How she puts her paws on either side of your neck and buries her face under your chin. What she loves: Food (She is a Pug). Love. Attention. Peace and quiet. Bones. Toys to bat around like she’s a cat. Motto to live by: Any attention is good attention. What that means for you: She needs rules and boundaries. She will be a Pug tyrant if you let her. Chaos tolerance: Low. She likes things quiet, peaceful, and predictable. She hates loud noises, the vacuum, and any craziness going on around her. What you should know: She seems to do just fine in public, but is protective of her home and humans at her house and goes into defensive mode. She needs to be introduced slowly to visitors. What she knows: Sit (when she wants). Coming when you call her name. Working on: “Easy” to take treats. Jumping. Mouthing. Leash pulling. Dogs: Depends on the dog. She is currently fosters with other dogs and ultimately does well, but she thinks she deserves all the attention (and will try to push other dogs out of the way), so a future sibling needs to be tolerant. Cats: Not tested Kids: No thanks. Seem to make her uncomfortable. House-trained: Working on it. Hard pass during inclement weather though. Crate-trained: Yep! Loves her crate. Barbie is vaccinated, heartworm negative, and will be spayed prior to adoption. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from omdrescue.org.

Story
Welcome Stevie to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 16- month old Pughuahua is our best guess. He is a small dog at 15 pounds. He has a great appetite and isn’t picky on his food. He currently eats in his crate. He is very puppylike and playful. He loves the small dog tennis balls. He likes all toys and will take the fluff out of them if he can. He is good in a crate and currently best friends with a small female playful dog in his foster home. He likes to run and play. He is crate trained and, on a schedule, will do all business outside. He is learning the doggy door. He does respond to the word “no” and stops what he is doing when you say it. He is good in a car and now good on a leash. He is friendly with dogs after he meets them. He would prefer a family of small dogs or no dogs would also be fine. When he goes outside to do his business, he does like his family to stay out there while he does his business. He will not go in his crate and will bark when he needs to go while in his crate. He was found as a stray on the streets of San Antonio. He was picked up by a good Samaritan after her day’s work. She saw him before work and after work he was still there so she took him home. He is now in a CCPAL foster home getting his training so he will be ready for his new forever home. He is not a big shedding dog, has an adorable underbite and a very cute curly tail. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Caost. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
This smudgy little girl is WILLOW.  She also has 2 sisters available for adoption, SAGE & VIOLET.  They all 3 have different looks and personalities.  Their personalities have just started to develop but at 8 weeks old they are still young enough to train and mold into a great family pet. Currently they are sharing a play pen with a different set of puppies but they long to get out and play with the bigger dogs.  The puppies should get to be about 30 pounds as adults.  Their parents are medium size stocky and muscular dogs with very good temperaments. You are welcome to meet them anytime if you are local, if you are out of state, we will provide a video so you can see them in action.  These are funny and cute little puppies who would really love their own home. If you are interested in adopting one of them, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         September 20, 2023, 8:15 am

Story
This girl was found at an auto shop, hence her name. She is very friendly and playful. She is around other dogs her age and does well. She likes to be in charge so she would do best in a home with calmer, submissive dogs. She will need puppy training as we aren’t sure if she has had any. She likes toys and loves to show them off to people! She is good around kids but is excitable so will need to learn how to be around little ones. She is learning how to be on a leash and does okay in a kennel. She’s just an active girl who needs an active family to keep her busy. She is just looking for fun times and a family to share them with her. She is being fostered in TN but we do transport using the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.2/24/24 Still available! 2/4/24 *Bonded pair*.  Shortbread (brindle) and Poundcake (brown) are absolutely precious! These little girls are 4 months old. They were surrendered to our rescue by the breeder because they both have Spina Bifida. They have no mobility issues at all- the only symptom is that they are both bladder and bowel incontinent. They will always have to wear diapers. The upside is that you don't have to worry about house training them! These are probably the easiest pups I've ever had. They don't get into things, not big chewers, easy to correct, and they love to snuggle, but if you can't snuggle, they will find a soft spot to snuggle with each other or play together. They are just as sweet as can be, and you have to admit, they are incredibly cute in their little diapers and suspenders! Even though they are still just babies, they are old souls. Despite the diapers, they are very easy to care for. We have them sleep in a crate together, without their diapers, on a grid, so their pee/poop goes under them, and they aren't sitting in it. In the mornings, they eat in their crate, then about 30 min after eating, I put their diapers on them and they come out for the day. I usually only change them one time throughout the day. Then, at night, I remove their diapers and put them back in their crates to eat dinner, and they are perfectly content to go to bed and rest for the remainder of the night. They love to go outside on nice days and explore the yard, but it should be noted that as English Bulldogs, they should never be allowed to stay outside on warm days due to their increased risk for heat stroke. They love being picked up and held or just talked to. They are very affectionate, but not at all demanding. They must be adopted together and stay together. Before applying, please think about whether you will want to deal with diapers on 2 dogs for the next 10+ years. While they are very easy, it is still a major commitment, and I don't want them to ever be separated or booted outside due to their adopter getting frustrated. So please put a lot of thought into whether you are ready for that kind of commitment. They are not free, nor will they be a deeply discounted adoption. Even though they have Spina Bifida, they are still wonderful, and I want them to go to someone who knows their worth and will love them, diapers and all. They are special to me and can stay here with me for however long it takes to find them the perfect home. Please private message for info on the adoption fee. They are up to date on vaccinations and I have had them spayed and microchipped.  Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am FridaysPort Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive.
