Please contact Jodi Rosenberg (jodi.rosenberg@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Sweet girl looking for her forever home Camila  NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! We haven’t seen her with kids or cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopter Currently Living At: South Carolina SHELTER. She needs a forever or foster hom. Special Adoption Considerations: Camila  is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Camila is Looking For: Long walks and sniffing around, she’s got that beagle nose! Belly  rubs and snuggles sound great to Camila. She would love to continue to work on her training to help her thrive. She would like to make new friends to play with at the dog park. Camila is ready to find her new family and get a fresh start. She is ready to bring joy and love to your home.   What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Gouda is part of the Cheese Litter of seven (Munster, Mozzarella, Gouda, Parmesan, Cheddar, Swiss and Colby Jack). These sweet babies came from an overcrowded shelter in Chesterfield, South Carolina. The shelter is no place for a tiny puppy, fortunately they have been rescued by K-9 Lifesavers and are ready to find forever homes. Could that be with you? Gouda is your typical sweet and friendly puppy. He is great with people and other dogs. At his young age, Gouda is in his prime for training and socialization. Gouda is ready to find his people for life and in return he promises to shower them with all his sweetness and love. With Gouda, every day is a new adventure filled with joy and companionship. The question isn't why you should adopt Gouda, but rather, why wouldn't you want to bring such a bundle of cuteness into your life? Submit an application today and change his life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter.
