Story
Female, 7 years, 25 lbs Personality: quiet, goofy/funny, eager-to-please, snuggler, affectionate, and gentle. "Who is this cutie in this picture you ask, why it is me - Misty! I am a sweet pug who is happy to share all the love! Despite my cuteness, I am no diva. I have been told that I am the perfect companion to help you get out and walk a few times a day to keep up your step count. If you are working from home, I am happy to participate quietly in your work calls by just curling up at your feet. I am a respectable lady who will stay off your furniture, but if you are looking for some big-time snuggling, I would love to be your personal lapdog. Bonus points: I do great with the cats in my foster home and I'm house trained and crate trained too! Could you be the one for me? Come by and "play Misty for me and let's make some sweet memories together. Story
Grady is a loving mixed breed (pug, boxer, boston terrier), 32 lbs. that loves to cuddle. He is a bit of an anxious guy that has a hard time relaxing, if you suffer from anxiety he wouldn't be the best companion for you. He loves to go for walks and is great at fetch. He would be great for someone with a yard and who has lots of love, energy and patience for him. He’s done great with other dogs at home, ( he had a Boston Terrier brother), they played and snuggled great together. He does great with our three children at home. House broken. Crates cause anxiety, does better in a larger gated area. He is an inside dog. He’s looking for someone to give him a loving furever home. Special considerations: Anxiety/Dry skin. Takes Apoquel for skin itching and Zyrtec (over the counter). fluoxetine for anxiety. Will provide 1+ month supply of medications and Simparica trio.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Grady is a pug/boston terrier/boxer, is 5yo, weighs 32lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Grady knows 'sit' and 'off'; he is kept in a gated area with his bed during the day; he is kept in a gated area with his bed and blankets at night; he has a hard time sitting still during car rides.  Grady is fed Purina Pro Plan Complete Essentials Shredded Blend Turkey and Rice Formula High Protein Dry Dog Food.  Grady's guardian adds:  "He loves to sit on the couch with you and snuggle.  He is not a dominant dog.  He has always been with another dog to play with, but we feel he would also be ok as a single dog.  Does well with puppy interaction." Grady's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:   "Grady is a bit of an anxious guy.  He has a hard time relaxing. When it is just my husband, he will be calm and relaxed.   When I come home Grady paces, whines and can’t relax.   His anxiety and my husbands increasing anxiety over the years no longer are compatible.   We have tried training and currently have him on Reconcile for anxiety."   Grady's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  Grady's guardian administers 3 medications for various ailments; for anxiety, Reconcile; for itchy skin, Apoquel; for seasonal allergies, Zyrtec." Grady's guardian states the following regarding children:  Grady lives with children (ages 7, 9, and 10), so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating:  "Initially, he barks and is very excited.  Over time he calms down and tries to sit beside/wants to be petted". Grady's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Grady lives with a dog, so his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "Grady is reactive to other dogs.  He will bark during walks". Grady's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Grady doesn't live with nor otherwise has interacted with cats, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats. Grady's guardian describes him as: Playful Likes to be touched Always at your side Indoor dog Nervous House-Trained Crate-Trained Separation anxiety Grady's guardian describes his ideal future home: "Grady needs a home with a yard where he can run and play fetch—he’s amazing at it!  Also would be great for someone who is active that would take him for walks.  He would need someone that allows couch cuddling.  Would not be a good fit for someone with anxiety.  Needs to be with someone that can be patient with his barking at the Amazon delivery man." Story
This fun boy was part of a forced surrender group but he shows no mean signs of his neglect. He is friendly and a lot of fun. He loves to play!! Definite terrier energy and a great boy to hang around with. He loves people and other dogs, although his barking to get others to play with him does tend to have the opposite effect. He is not mean and does well sharing. He likes any sort of toy but does have a short attention span with them. He would do well with any type of household but will need the basic training of being inside, we don’t think he was inside at all. He does spill his food out and will chew any bed given to him, it will take some time for him to get used to any of that. A house with kids that like to run and play would work great with him or any active family that can wear him out. He is a love and is waiting to share it all with a new family to call his own. We also use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Meet New Arrival - Bailey! Bailey is about 1 year old and weighs about 21 pounds - a little on the chunky side - lol. We think Bailey is a Pug mix (just a guess). Bailey is a sweet girl who is curious about her surroundings. She has through "inspected" every aspect of her foster home:) Bailey is good with other dogs, but we have no idea on cats. Bailey would do best in a home where someone is around a good portion of the day. Bailey has done well with the 7 year old child in her foster home. Bailey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

https://foha.org/pet/bee2024/ Hello there, I'm Bee! I'm a sweet older gentleman who's deeply bonded with my smaller buddy, Honey. When I'm in the mood for some love and affection, you'll find me cozied up close, ready for cuddles and gentle pets. Curiosity drives me-I'm always on a mission to explore every nook and cranny of my new environment. Sniffing around, investigating interesting scents, that's my kind of adventure! I've just found my way to FOHA, and quickly found myself a foster home with Honey, so as my friends here and I spend time together, they will discover more about me. Keep an eye on my bio page for updates as I reveal my charming personality and quirky ways. Submit an application, that way the foster team can coordinate a time to meet me and Honey. Then you can experience for yourself how truly special we are. We will make delightful companions for a special home filled with love and warmth. Hope to see you soon. Warm wishes from Bee I am bonded with Honey.

** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.My name is Ki-Ki. I am a sweet, sweet girl who can't wait to meet you. I have lots of energy and lots of love to give. I may take a few minutes to get to know you but once I do I will happily lean into you with my whole body for as many pets as possible. Although I was a stray and in the shelter for two months, I already know how to sit and I am learning other things too! I am pretty good with my house-training and I haven't had any accidents at nighttime. I am learning not to pull on leash (especially when I see squirrels) and my previous foster mom says I have improved so much because I am really smart. I love playing with toys and I got the zoomies running from the couch to the doggy bed and back -- over and over. I also love walks and I am very curious about everything I see and smell. If you are looking for a sweet, loving and energetic doggie, I promise I am your girl!To learn more about Ki-Ki, check out her video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4_TH2MTE0Y
