Story
Pip is an adorable bundle of cuteness! He is a perfect combination of . . . what? We're not sure but are guessing beagle, Frenchie, and/or pug. At 8 months old and 27 pounds he's a perfect size, not too big, not too small, and with just enough of a smoosh face to make him irresistibly kissable -- one look and you will fall in love! Pip (even his name is adorable!) is good with dogs and good with kids. He's already learned sit, is working on "drop it," and is doing very well with his house training. He loves toys and loves to play fetch. Pip would love a playful doggy companion, but would probably be fine as an only dog as long as he got lots of play time and snuggle time. Story
AdoptAPet Inquires are not an application and will be ignored. Looking for a Foster or Adopter Damon is a 1.5 year old, 22lb pup who’s spent almost his whole life in rescue. He’s dog-friendly (happy to keep up with any play style or size), kid approved, and absolutely fetch obsessed. His embark DNA says he is 50% pug, 26% Australian Cattle Dog and 22% Miniature Schnauzer. The ACD energy definitely comes through! He loves playing with a herding ball or any toy for that matter. Damon is high energy, toy motivated, and happiest when someone is throwing a ball for him. He will play fetch for literal hours, take a quick 10 minute power nap, then be ready to go again. He's good with dogs of all sizes, kid friendly and walks on leash like he’s showing off for a parade, volunteers say he practically prances. Recently, Damon went on a volunteer field trip, and here’s what the volunteer said: Damon was stoked to be riding shotgun like a true passenger prince. When we arrived, he waited politely before hopping out, then pranced down the street at my side, bouncing along like the happiest parade marshal you’ve ever seen. Next stop? Fetch. Damon’s favorite thing in the world. His whole body lit up with joy. He scurried after the ball, skidded into the fence, then came charging back to drop it right at my feet, eager to go again, and again, and again. He even played fetch with my 4-year-old, gentle and patient every time. Damon could truly go all day if you let him! After fetch, we wandered through town. Damon acted like the mayor, greeting everyone we passed. One person even pulled over their car just to meet him! He stopped to pose with flowers outside shopfronts like a natural-born model, soaking up the attention. Finally, we hit Starbucks, where Damon waited patiently for his order. The barista handed over a pup cup, and his day had been officially made! This is Damon! Goofy, sweet, and ready for a forever family. After spending almost his entire life in rescue, he deserves to celebrate his next anniversary at home. Maybe with you? Bear is approximately 7 years old. Extremely loving and loves to cuddle. He is house and leash trained, likes taking baths, and gets along with cats, other dogs, and kids. He enjoys going for walks, but he is most happy lounging around the house eating snacks. All he really needs is someone to cuddle with. I’ve had Bear for the past 4 years, but I unfortunately need to find him a new home due to changes in my schedule.

Tiger and his brother, Bear, are two of the cutest, happiest little guys ever!  At 7 months these bonded brothers must go together. They are still young so continued training for potty and behavior is needed but you'll find it rewarding, not a chore.  They are so happy they'll make you happy regardless of the type of day you're having.  You'll find them an absolutely joy to have around! Note:  Tiger and Bear still need to be neutered - they must be presented at the appointment HSNV/A3P makes.  We use the Kincheloe Spay & Neuter clinics in Fredericksburg and Ashland. ##2742539##

Story
Introducing, Rooster! Rooster is 3 years old and 15 lbs. He was found as a stray and sadly no one came looking for him. Rooster has been spending time in an awesome foster home. His foster mom reports: "Rooster (who we lovingly call Roo or RooRoo- he is picking up on his name) is a chi-mix through and through. Roo completely bonds with his owner and is ready for his forever person to cuddle with, play with, and protect. He is a feisty little guy with other dogs out and about and takes a while to warm up to new people, but once he decides you are his person, he will be by your side (or on your lap) as often as possible. I’ve had the privilege of being his temporary chosen person and he has given me so much love in return. He sits on my lap all day while I work, with some potty and play breaks of course. Roo is house-trained, and benefits from a consistent walk schedule. He would love to come with you to work or work from home with you! He does well with my dog and cats, even when his jealousy comes out and he places himself right in between me and them. He takes a bit to warm up and trust other creatures/humans, but if you give him the time, you will have a forever best friend." Interested in learning more about Rooster? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. *Rooster is neutered, up to date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.
