Story
Pumba….if pugs started in The Lion King😂 This young adult male fawn-colored pug strides with confidence & fortunately doesn’t share the storybook Pumba’s gassy issue! He is on the large & tall side for pugs (although he has slimmed down since arriving at his foster mom’s home). He has striking markings around his eyes that would make any eye-liner applying gal jealous. His forehead is a mass of wrinkles adding to his good looks & charm. Pumba’s personality is 100% pug. Happy, active, goofy, clingy, food obsessed, always up for a good time. He gets along with all living creatures of the 4- & 2- legged variety: dogs, cats, people of all ages. Although he came to the rescue with his BFF Timon, he would be just as pleased to be a solo dog. Pugs make great family dogs & thrive in house or apartment settings. Attributes: Doggy door trained. Seldom has indoor potty accidents”accidents” Active Local adoption fee is $400(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $700 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Timon…If Pugs starred in the Lion King Timon is a young adult male pug with a glossy black coat. He does the best head tilts, as if he understands what is being said to him and is considering his response. Actually, he is more likely wondering how to scheme getting picked up for cuddles or how to convince you that he is starving - in danger of fading away into nothingness before your very eyes. Or…there is nothing but air behind his engaging brown eyes. 🤣 Despite his protests, Timon is chonky & needs to continue his weight loss journey for optimal health. This won’t be too difficult as, like most pugs, he is quite playful, active, a clown, liking toys, dogs, cats, people of all ages & sizes and FOOD! He will do almost anything to earn a tasty tidbit! Timon is crate trained & housebroken with a doggy door. He has seldom had an indoor potty “accident”. Although Timon came to the rescue with his BFF, Pumba, he would be fine as a solo dog, given lots of attention. (Such a hardship!) Pugs make great family dogs & will thrive in an apartment or house. Are you ready to make Timon part of your family? Attributes: Housebroken with doggy door Active Local adoption fee is $400(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $700 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet the Spice Girls! Their mama was taken in by a loving family shortly before they discovered she was pregnant. Her previous owners had surrendered her to the shelter, and thankfully, a wonderful family stepped up to give her a safe place to have and raise her babies. They worked hard to help Mama and her five daughters thrive while a rescue was found to help these girls find responsible, loving homes. Mama, believed to be a Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix, has now been spayed and is happily staying with the family who opened their hearts to her. Dad is a mystery, but based on these adorable pups, we suspect he may have had some Pug in his family tree!  At 10 weeks old, these five girls are busy, playful, curious, and absolutely adorable. We expect them to remain small, likely under 20 pounds full grown. They would be wonderful additions to just about any family ready for the fun, patience, commitment, and joy that comes with raising a puppy. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as a forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website! Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. These puppies would do great in a home with...Cats : Yep! Dogs : Yep!  Kiddos : Yep!   ##2827222##

Story
Meet Moose! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic little sidekick, Moose might just be your guy! This adorable 25 lb. Frenchie/Pug mix is packed with personality, zoomies, and enough cuteness to get away with almost anything. Moose can be a little shy when he first meets you and may need a moment to decide that you’re his kind of people. But once he warms up, you’ll see the sweet, cuddly, affectionate guy hiding underneath that initial hesitation. When Moose gets really excited, he has a funny little way of saying, “PAY ATTENTION TO ME!” — he’ll jump up and give your hands some enthusiastic little nips. They aren’t painful or aggressive, but because he can get a little mouthy when he’s excited, we think a home with older, dog-savvy children 8 and over would be the best fit for him. And when it comes to other dogs? Moose is a social butterfly! He does wonderfully with both big and small dogs and would love having a canine friend to play with. We haven’t cat-tested him just yet but we can if your home has any feline friends for him to play with. More than anything, Moose wants to be wherever you are. Going for a car ride? He’s in. Running errands? He’s ready. Watching TV on the couch? He’ll happily be your cuddle buddy. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be included in all of life’s adventures. Once Moose decides you’re his person, prepare yourself for a tiny, goofy, energetic shadow with a whole lot of love to give. If you’re looking for a fun companion who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and then curl up beside you at the end of the day, Moose is ready to meet you! Moose's adoption fee is $295 and he's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet Moose today!
