Meet Navi! 🩷 Navi is an adorable 4-year-old, 13 lb. Pug mix with the cutest little personality—and she’s also a proud tripod. Don’t let her three legs fool you, though. She gets around just fine and has the sweetest little limp that only adds to her charm. When Navi first arrived at The Asher House, we were told she had been surrendered after reportedly biting a service worker in her previous home. We believe it’s important to share that history, but it’s equally important to share our own experience with her. Since coming to the sanctuary, Navi has been around our team of more than 75 staff members and has never shown any aggression toward anyone. She has never growled, attempted to bite, or given us any reason to believe she’s anything other than a shy little dog who needs time to feel safe. As she’s settled in, we’ve watched her confidence grow, her personality blossom, and her sweet, loving nature shine through. Navi isn’t looking for perfection—she’s looking for patience. She needs someone who will allow her to build trust at her own pace and give her the love and reassurance she’s been searching for. Once she feels safe, we believe she has everything it takes to become an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Navi enjoys playing with other dogs, but she can play a little too enthusiastically for some pups. Because of her rough-and-tumble play style, she would do best as the only dog in the home where she can soak up all of the love and attention. She also likes to chase cats, so she's looking for a cat-free home. While Navi has played well with many children in the past, we believe she'll thrive best in an adult-only home where she can focus all of her love and attention on her people and continue building her confidence. She has so much potential and so much love to give. Every day we get to know her a little better, and every day we’re reminded what a special little dog she is. If you’re willing to open your heart to a dog who simply needs someone to believe in her, Navi may be the perfect match. Apply to meet the three-legged Pug you never knew you needed—but who has been waiting for someone just like you. Navi's adoption fee is $295, and she is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Did you say PUG??? Meet Betty! Betty is a young adult fawn pug recently surrendered to God’s Dogs Rescue along with her daughter. From being neglected, covered with fleas, inflamed skin, scabs, and missing patches of fur, she is now a happy & healthy dog ready for a home of her own. Betty is 100% pug: curious, food obsessed, wants to be with her special person/people all of the time, affectionate, playful, goofy. True to her breed, she adores all people. She gets along famously with other dogs, but is not shy to voice her opinion to them if she feels they have gotten out of line. Betty was likely forced to live outside in her previous life, so is still mastering housebreaking. She is doing well training with a doggie door. Pugs make terrific family pets! Are ready to welcome her into yours? Attributes: Housebreaking in progress Very affectionate & playful Local adoption fee is $400(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $700 (includes transport to your area)

It’s Boop Time!!! Boop is a very young adult female pug, fawn in coloration. She was recently surrendered to God’s Dogs Rescue along with her mom, crawling with fleas, irritated, swollen, itchy, scabby skin & patches of fur missing. Even at her young age, she had been bred for puppies. Now after good nutrition & a lot of TLC, Boop is a very happy & healthy dog, ready for her furever home. True to her breed, Boop is playful, vocal (she even howls with her mouth in a little “O”!), very affectionate, silly, food obsessed, thinks she runs the house. Boop loves people & dogs of all ages & sizes. She is very fond of toys, too. Because she was likely forced to live outside in her previous life, she is in the process of housebreaking. She is doing well with a doggie door. Are you ready for your heart to be snatched by a bug-eyed fur goblin who gets the zoomies every evening when you’re ready for bed? Then adopt Boop, you won’t regret your decision. Attributes: Housebreaking in progress, good with doggie door Active! Local adoption fee is $400(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $700 (includes transport to your area)

Lily the Chug Are you looking for a small bundle of energy full of love, antics, & sass to liven up your home? Then look no farther than Lily the chug (3/4 pug, 1/4 chihuahua with a whole lotta chi attitude)! This long legged, grumpy faced little minx has adorable ears that either stand up at attention or rest crossed atop her head. Her overbite, often with her lip stuck on her teefers gives her adorable expressions. Lily has no enemies, loving to play-play-play with dogs & people of all ages & sizes. At her foster mom’s house, she cavorts with a 90# Great Pyrenees as much as she does with a pair of pugs. She’d also like to play with the cats, but she is too hyper for them & gets swatted. Lily does calm down to cuddle & actively seeks attention. Lily was a neglected outdoor pup until her surrender to God’s Dogs Rescue, so is still working on her housebreaking. She almost has it down pat with use of a doggy door. You will never experience a dull moment with this petite cutie in your life! Attributes: Housebreaking in progress. Good with doggie door HIGH energy Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Lola is the equivalent of a clown cars trunk, full of the fun stuff! Take cartoonish features, add four squeaky toys, a bouncy ball, at least one crinkle toy, and a pogo stick… and somehow turn it into a 20 lb dog. That is Lola! She is estimated to be around a year old and looks very much like a pug/boxer mix, though rescue rules absolutely apply and we cannot guarantee either. What we can guarantee is that Lola arrives preloaded with comedy, athleticism, and a level of enthusiasm that rivals a sugared up kid about to get on their first carnival ride. Go watch Lola on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this zoomie-powered party goblin. https://youtu.be/Lmiv_G04_1w Lola is wildly entertaining and genuinely a very happy dog. She loves fetch with her whole entire being, though we would currently rank her return skills at approximately 97% mastery because once she gets the toy, she can easily forget who threw it and occasionally what the next step is to get someone to throw it again. She absolutely thrives with playful dogs that enjoy chase games, wrestling, and rough-and-tumble antics. She is an absolute toy lover, easily self-entertains, and wakes up every day ready to turn life into recess. Lola would likely thrive with someone who genuinely enjoys training and wants an active sidekick to pour into. Think adventure buddy, hiking pal, training class enthusiast, enrichment queen, “let’s work your brain and body” kind of home. She is the kind of dog that will be incredibly rewarding in the right hands. She handles environmental stressors well, recovers quickly, and remains social and confident with people always. She is loving, goofy, resilient, and very game for whatever comes next. Lola’s dream home includes an equally playful dog who enjoys chase, shares toys, and enjoys the occasional playful wrestling match. This dream home will be cat-free and she would like to pass on apartment living, the girl wants room to run! More than one playmate is welcome as long as they are sturdy, playful dogs over 25 lbs that enjoy physical play, have good tolerance levels, and know how to take breaks. Because Lola is young and driven she will benefit from a structured home committed to helping her learn how to “dog-well.” She is learning how to settle in the home and will need encouragement to slow her busy brain down in exciting environments. The encouraging part is that she responds well to guidance and is very responsive to appropriate corrections. We love Lola! From her mini-boxer look to that pug-like tail, she is one-of-a-kind gal ready and waiting for her forever! Ready to make the first move? Story
Here's looking at you, Lucky! This adventurous boy is ready to charm his way into your heart and home. Lucky didn't have the easiest start in life, but his resilience and playful spirit shine through. With a bright smile and a heart full of love, this 3-year-old Bulldog/Pitbull mix is a bundle of fun and affection, weighing in at a perfect 34 pounds. Lucky is a people-person, or should we say, dog-person? He adores belly rubs and will happily soak up all the love and attention you can give. But don't be fooled by his cuddly side; Lucky is also an explorer at heart. He's always up for a walk, a game, or a new adventure. Lucky is also quite the trained professional, mastering kennel and leash skills with ease. He's the whole package: an adventure buddy and a cuddle companion all in one! Lucky gets along with bigger dogs that he can't intimidate, but his strong prey drive makes squirrels and cats a bit too tempting. However, with people, he's a loyal and affectionate friend. Lucky is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, so he's all set to join your family. If you're seeking a playful and loving companion to share life's adventures, look no further than Lucky. He's a true charmer with a bright spirit, and he can't wait to bring some fun and laughter into your home.

Story
Meet Ian – Your Slightly Wonky, Totally Wonderful Adventure Buddy Ian is a young Boston Terrier mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He came into rescue with a shattered hip that has healed, leaving him with an adorable "wonky" gait. His back leg sometimes swings out when he runs, but it has never slowed him down. He lives for zoomies, toys, muddy adventures, and making everyone laugh. This happy little guy is always carrying a toy. He loves to play chase and keep-away with other dogs, then settle in beside you on the couch with his favorite toy after he's burned off his energy. Ian would do best with a respectful dog companion around his size or smaller who will let him enjoy his downtime, or he'd be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only. Ian also has the funniest raspy, baby-pterodactyl bark that he uses to let you know he's ready to come out of his crate or needs a potty break. He'll often sit quietly by the door too, so he's great about letting you know when it's time to go outside. Since he's an enthusiastic eater, he uses a slow feeder bowl at mealtime. Medical Transparency: Ian has diabetes insipidus due to his previous injury. The good news is it's easy to manage: No injections required Oral medication twice a day Just needs a few extra potty breaks His condition is well controlled, and he enjoys a completely happy, active, zoomie-filled life. If you're looking for a playful, goofy best friend who will keep you smiling every day and then snuggle beside you at night, Ian is ready to steal your heart.
