Story
This fun boy was part of a forced surrender group but he shows no mean signs of his neglect. He is friendly and a lot of fun. He loves to play!! Definite terrier energy and a great boy to hang around with. He loves people and other dogs, although his barking to get others to play with him does tend to have the opposite effect. He is not mean and does well sharing. He likes any sort of toy but does have a short attention span with them. He would do well with any type of household but will need the basic training of being inside, we don’t think he was inside at all. He does spill his food out and will chew any bed given to him, it will take some time for him to get used to any of that. A house with kids that like to run and play would work great with him or any active family that can wear him out. He is a love and is waiting to share it all with a new family to call his own. We also use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Hi!  My name is Bryce and I am looking for a forever home.  I was surrendered to a shelter by my previous owners and as an owner surrender, I was at the top of something bad called "the list".  Fortunately, BCAA heard about me and said they would help me  ... yeah!  When I first arrived at the shelter, I was super scared and shy; but a nice worker spent some time with me and showed me that people could be nice and now my foster mom says I'm a regular little social butterfly.  No one is exactly sure of my breed mix but the best guess is pug 'cause of my cute curly Q tail and general build and next possibly a small lab; whatever I'm mixed with, my foster mom says I'm a cute boy with a really engaging personality.  I am about 2years old and weigh 29.5lbs ... not too small and not too big!  I have gotten along with the other dogs I have met and haven't really paid any attention to the cats.   While I would much prefer to be out with you, I have done really well in my crate overnight without any accidents or tearing up of my bedding (I will let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you).  I love going for walks and other than initially pulling when we first go out, I do pretty good on a leash.  I love my food and treats which I take gently and will be great for any future training you might want to do together.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Hi!  My name is Celeste and I am looking for a forever home. I was discovered by a postman living under a porch with my 2-day old puppies.  'Cause it was really cold, two of my puppies had passed away and I was doing my best to keep my remaining ones warm.  The postman asked my owners why we were outside and they told him they really didn't want us and wouldn't be bringing us inside.  He asked them if he could help us and when they said yes, BCAA said they would help all of us  ... yeah!  All of my puppies have found forever homes and now it's my turn.  I was really shy when I first arrived at my foster home but my foster parents have been really nice and patient with me and my puppies and now I love being around them, even their 6-year old little boy, the other dogs and even the cat.  No one is exactly sure of my breed mix but the best guess is pug 'cause of my cute pug-like face, and possibly dachshund 'cause of my general build.  I am about 14-months old and weigh around 20lbsbs ... not too small and not too big!  While I would much prefer to be out with you, I have done really well in my crate overnight without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding.  Once I learn I can trust you, I do pretty good on leash.  I enjoy my food and take treats gently.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
