You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs. Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families. We have many sponsorship dogs. Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :) So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! My name is Taylor. I came to the ranch when I was 7 weeks old and have been here for almost 2 years. I have a bladder problem that cannot be surgically corrected. I could wear diapers but I absolutely hate them!! Purebread Boston around 4 years old. Very loving and sweet but has snapped at our kids one too many times. They were not antagonistic in anyway he just does not like kids for some reason. Gets along great with our older mutt but doesn't always get along with our French bulldog. Kids were 9 and 10 when he snapped at them. I now have a newborn and simply cannot take the risk of having him around.

My pups were great but always taken from me over, and over and over again causing me to say “Enough is Enough” with other dogs (No Cats too). I MUST BE your ONE AND ONLY! NO way shape or form can I be near another dog, live with, befriend or even have access to another dog so a GOOD STURDY FENCE required for my adoption. NO EXCEPTIONS. On the “FLIP SIDE”, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, can’t say it enough, LOVE ALL PEOPLE from little crawly smelly dirty diaper tikes to gray haired old fogies, grumpy seniors. I DON’T CARE, I’ll love them to the end of the world and back! Talk about being STUCK TO YOUR HIP? Well, I’m a definite VELCRO GAL! You go upstairs, I go upstairs, down, I do down, in/out, whatever.. I’m there for you CONTANTLY a companion to give love, kisses and a smile on my face to MAKE YOUR DAY as you Faithful Companion! Although, I love all people, including kids, I need an adult only home as children to not have the ability to fully understand that I cannot be with other animals and need to be secured at all times so I don’t escape. I am fully vetted and am working on my house training. If I can get out frequently I do well and I will go potty on a leash. I am a little shy when I first meet people and will bark, but a little patience and some treats and I am a complete love bug. I met a new friend a few weeks ago and we went for a car trip and I slept like a baby on her lap. I loved sleeping under a blanket with her holding me like a baby. She could hold me any way she wanted and I was in complete heaven. I am fully vetted including being neutered. I was a little thin when I came into rescue, but I have filled out nicely and I am ready for my very own forever family. I play well with others, and sometimes I get so excited that I play nip and talk a lot. I would do best in a home without young kids only because I am a ball of energy.
