Story
Ozzie’s my name, (Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie oi oi oi) although I get called all sorts of things – like Pug Man (usually sung badly to the Bat Man theme), Mr. Pugsalot, PugFace, PuggyBoy, and I answer to them all, especially if you have treats and/or one of my favorite toys. They tell me that the Pug breed is an ancient one, originally bred to be the lapdogs of emperors, and I guess that tracks – as I love to be on my person’s lap, not to mention to being waited on! Pugs are “a lot in a little” and that’s me! Also, I might have some Chihuahua mixed in, which would make me a Chug! I have a longer snout that most Pugs, so I breath easier and don’t snort or snore! Weighing in at 16 lbs, I have a healthy physique (think body builder!). Both of these characteristics are positive things! I came to Humane Tomorrow with 5 of my relatives. Before HT, we had not been around many people, or outside our apartment at all, so everything at first was completely new and scary, (collars, outside grass, harness, toys, riding in a car, being on a leash) but all that is behind me now and I am a confident, playful, goofy boy who likes to cuddle in the evening and play with my toys during the day. I will play fetch with my squeaky toy and sometimes with a ball, but I don’t always give it up when I bring the toy back (once I’ve got it it’s mine, right?) Even though with my distinctive wrinkles, I look worried and serious all the time, I am a happy boy that just wants someone to pay attention to me. I make sure my people always have my companionship by stalking, I mean following, them around the house. I take my job seriously and have protected them from the birds and squirrels in the yard! I am eager to please, just show me what you want me to do! I can be laser focused and food motivated so there are training opportunities.. I get along with the other dogs in the household, some like to play with me, while others just ignore me. I am crate trained and have come a long way with house training, but in a new home, the training will need to continue until I get into a routine. Foster mom says I’m a little mouthy when I play sometimes, not mean at all but probably not a good fit with young kids. If you are interested in me, please complete an application and one of the adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
7-year-old Legend is a sweet, easygoing fawn boy with a playful spark and a heart full of love. He adapts quickly to new people and places, enjoys playtime, and then happily settles in for cozy cuddles—especially on the couch or by your feet. Legend is house-trained, leash-trained, and a respectful eater with no food aggression. He’s free-roam trustworthy and sleeps soundly in bed with his humans. He enjoys plush toys (especially Lamb Chop!), puzzle toys, snuffle mats, and a good chew like a Nylabone. He does well with cats. He would do well in a home as either an only dog or with canine companions, and would thrive with someone who enjoys a relaxed, affectionate companion. He hasn’t met children yet but has a gentle, adaptable nature. He may need occasional eye lubricant, and sometimes bunny hop if his back legs feel weak while they regain strength. If you’re looking for a loving, low-key best friend—Legend lives up to his name. ****** All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. Puppies younger than 6 months are not eligible for out-of-state adoption. Story
8-month-old Inka is a playful, curious black-and-white pug mix puppy with endless love and energy to share. She adores tug-of-war, collecting toys, and staying involved in whatever her people are doing. Inka is affectionate, active, and always ready for fun, but she’s equally happy curling up on her dog bed after a busy day. She is crate trained, learning house-training, and already lets you know when she needs to go outside. Inka is doing well on leash training and gets along great with other dogs. She would thrive in an active home ready to keep up with puppy adventures and continue her training. If she’s an only dog, she’d love a family committed to plenty of playtime and attention. Inka is ready to bounce, cuddle, and wiggle her way right into your heart! ******* All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
4-year-old Gatsby is a playful, affectionate fawn boy who takes his role as a professional Velcro pug very seriously. He loves being close to his people, riding in the car, snuggling in bed, and supervising whatever you’re doing. Gatsby enjoys chewing on Benebones, playing with other dogs, and exploring every corner of the house with his curious nature. He’s crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and uses a magnetic screen door like a dog door to go outside. Gatsby wears a belly band to help prevent indoor marking. He gets along with other dogs and adores people of all ages including kids. Gatsby would do best in a loving home where someone is around often, as he can become a little anxious when left alone for too long. Looking for a loyal sidekick with a big heart and zero concept of personal space? Gatsby is your guy! ******* All our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
DNA results are in for Tater and he is 61% Bulldog along with small percentages of 12 other breeds. Tater is a loyal, loving dog who’s happiest just being near his people. He is fantastic with kids and forms strong bonds with his people. Tater enjoys daily walks and does well on a leash. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, and has full run of his foster home because he’s respectful and non-destructive. He’s an easy dog to live with and loves a calm routine where he can relax and spend time with his humans. Tater would do best as the only pet, as he can be selective with other dogs. Tater is 5½ years old and weighs 55 lbs. If you are interested in adopting Tater, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days.*You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck*Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption feeDogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption feeRescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Story
Emmi joined Rescue Row in November 2020 after a breeder decided they no longer had a use for her. Just two months later, she was adopted and began life with her family. Sadly, Emmi was returned to Rescue Row three weeks ago after the circumstances within her previous home changed, and her family was no longer able to care for her. Over the past three weeks, we have been getting to know Emmi again, and her foster mom reports that she is a wonderful girl! She is calm, quiet, affectionate, house trained, and incredibly well-mannered. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides well in the car, loves her toys and treats, and is happiest snuggled up next to her people. Emmi would be great as an only dog. She was dog friendly when initially with RR six years ago, but she has not been around other dogs since then and is currently in a foster home as an only dog. We are unsure of how she is with other dogs at this time, but she would likely do well with another calm and easygoing canine friend. Now 11 years old, Emmi is looking for a quiet home without children where she can enjoy her golden years. If you are interested in adopting Emmi, we are accepting applications at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a home check *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. Story
Toby is still looking for a family to call his own! At 8 years old, this handsome Bluetick Coonhound/Boston Terrier mix is ready to enjoy the good life with someone who appreciates a loyal and easygoing companion.   Toby is potty trained, crate trained, and has excellent manners in the home. He can be trusted to free roam because he is non-destructive and knows how to behave. He enjoys walks, naps, spending time with his people, and keeping watch over the squirrels in the yard, especially when he gets the chance to chase them.   He gets along well with other dogs and is even cat friendly. Toby would do best in a home with children ages 7 and older.   If you are interested in adopting Toby, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days.
